A wonderful Riad, conveniently located for everything in the Medina. The whole place is spotless, with a lovely sun terrace and jacuzzi. The stars, however, are the staff. Nothing was too much trouble-they personally went to the shop to collect crisps for us to have with our drinks at night, they walked with us to the various shops to make sure we got what we wanted. Truly hospitality at its best. A special mention to Mohamed and Yassine. We are sorry to be leaving tomorrow. Brian and Jennifer.

A tastefully reinterpreted authentic building, excellent staff, a very cool french owner - everything the heart desires in order to spend a wonderful time in old Marrakesh. Perfectly located in a quiet corner close to Bahia palace. With a beautiful, small hammam and a pool in the patio. Outstanding massages, tasty breakfast & dishes.

Cozy, clean, perfect location 10 min walk from Jemaa El Fna square. Hamman and terrace with Jacuzzi on the roof. Very spacious rooms... But, above all, and specially, the friendliness of its staff. Always willing to help with a smile on his face. Congratulations

After a 2.5 hour flight delay and one hour from disembarking to the other side of passport control ..... Swiftly recovered by a pleasant cab journey into the Medina... - you could easily miss the Riad Akka which is nestled behind an insignificant doorway, tucked just yards away from urine fragranced overflowing food waste palabins in this 'well appointed' street in the Medina. We are shown into the Riad where we were greeted by no air-conditioning and were swiftly talked through our limited food options over mint tee and water. We asked where the pool was and she pointed to a 'pool' behind us? Wasn't sure what u are meant to do with it really? Being inside, where I believe you would watch tv or eat - didn't see evidence of filtration or chlorine levels .....

We were then shown to a twin room. What surprised me the most was that they thought anyone would happily stay in this hovel. No door on the toilet. Let's be VERY clear now - there was a shower curtain separating your 'sleeping area' from a TOILET?????

Ok - so we are then shown to two more rooms - these both doubles - but it gets better - not even shower curtains dividing your sleeping area to toilet in these rooms.

We make it clear that we are not staying.

They then offer us a room each because of the toilet issue????? If I wanted separate rooms I would have booked separate rooms - however, in this time of technology, we could Skype and text each other from our respective rooms??

A very very depressing place. They didn't want to help us and said that the organising company were not picking up the phone. They did to me though - how very strange! I gave one lady another number but we really were left to deal with the problems ourselves? Also no further offer of refreshments either.

The organising company offered us another Riad .... or refund. We didn't want to chance another Riad so we booked a hotel on the Palameira. We are having a fantastic stay at our new hotel with free shuttle to and from Medina daily - and usual trappings of a place offering accommodation, even two doors separating toilet from bedroom..... Blissssss

Sorry for your delay when traveling by 2:50 but charter is often the case The medina is a historic town dating from the 11th century World Heritage of Unesco, it has its advantages and disadvantages You have seen on our site that our Riad was contemporary style, may be too modern for your taste, but certainly not a "Slums" fortunately all of our customers is not the same thing. We could not reach by phone your host agency, but did it by mail, and in the half hour after a solution has been found between them and our business We can not appeal to everyone but always do our best to satisfy our customers, your comments are offensive and defamatory Directorate

We recently spent 3 nights in one of the largest rooms. This pretty little Riad situated down a maze of streets in the Medina has only 5 rooms. It is stylish and a lovely place to relax after the madness of the souks. On arrival we were given a welcome drink whilst Redwon explained where everything was, breakfast timings etc and we were then shown to our room. It was a good size with a huge bed, two seats and table. The only thing a little strange is that the bathroom/wc was open to the room so there was no privacy. Everything was spotlessly clean and the bed was really comfortable. There were plenty of power so keys and lights.
We were worried that once we went out we would have a problem to find our way back to the Riad. However, we were given a map and took careful note of things as we walked and therefore did find arrive back with only 1 small mistake. The other is residential and felt very safe. Locals we met in the street always wished us "bonjour". There are a few little shops nearby on the walk to the souks. We found the location to be ideal.
Breakfast consisted of freshly squeezed orange juice, home-made yoghurt, fruit and Moroccan pancakes and breads with jam and honey.
The top floor terrace we used only once. There are nice sun beds and chairs there. The covered seating area in the corner was a little tired looking but this was the only criticism we would have.
All the staff were lovely, very friendly and chatty. Some only speak French.
We would recommend to couples who wish to stay in comfortable relaxing accommodation within easy walking distance of the souks and square.

My fiance and I stayed at this hotel last year, and we had a fantastic experience. The staff was charming, extremely helpful, and booked us the best guide we could have hoped for.

Breakfast is wonderful- be sure to take time for it. Also, ask for guide recommendations if you're planning to spend a day in the medina. We typically never do guides, but felt we should since the medina can be confusing, and we did not want to be bothered to buy every time we stopped somewhere.

I must say, the guide did the trick. No one bothered us at all when we were with him (different story when we were not), and (an added bonus) he provided us an excellent history of the city and its important architecture.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this Riad, and since I have recommended it to a number of friends traveling through Marrakech!

Would like to take this opportunity to say what brilliant little place this is, you will not get better staff anywhere they are brilliant, was meet from our cab, upgrade, helpful tips as to where to go, and how to get there. Spotless clean, will accommodate in any way they can. This is from two fussy, well travelled biddies far and wide in the middle east and far east,

Spent a few nights in the riad, with exceptional service from staff who were friendly and very thoughtful. Was able to explore Marrakesh and enjoy the sights with the help of staff.

The riad itself is amazing. The plunge pool is nice and relaxing, internet works quite well, and the amenities are luxurious.

Very good, excellent location to the souk that’s a few minutes walk away, and so much fun to explore.
Everyone in town is so very hospitable and kind. Both Mohammad’s in Akka Raid are very kind and helpful, nothing is to much trouble for them. I found them to be the perfect host.
Everyone in Marrakesh is friendly and welcoming, and not because of the foreign currency to be spent, but because they are genuinely courteous and obliging.
I thoroughly recommend the Akka due to its great location, wonderful hosts and clean spotlessly clean establishment.
I’d definitely come back.
