Hotel Akabar is well located 15 minute walk to the main square & very easy to get to from the airport. The hotel is average, safe and clean. We visited in the winter and found the hotel to be cold and dark however the staff were beautiful.

I have been visiting Marrakesh every Winter for some years staying at the Akabar. It's main attraction for me is its location at the point where the modern and old cities meet. This is a district called Hivernage where you find the smartest hotels, cocktail bars and restaurants. Yet the Akabar is very much 3 star. It's clean and comfortable...

Not up to the European or American standards for 3* but adequate for a quick cheap break. Rooms are small and chilly and could do with a lick of paint. Bathroom was tiny but the water was hot and plentiful. Reception was dark but wifi friendly, only part of the hotel that was. Breakfast left a lot to be desired,...

The hotel itself was fine-- very plain, in the new city. We stayed there because it was easier to get to the airport, which worked fine. However, the service was terrible. We needed to use a printer to print out boarding pass, and the staff was incredibly unhelpful. It was a bit of a last minute dash for us, and...

I spent 2 nights here, and i cannot complian too much, but it is really basic. Shower without curtain, wifi sometimes working, sometimes not. Breakfast just ok. Personnel forgot to book me the taxi for the early departure (the man who had to book it was sleeping in the morning). Taxis are available any time, so no really need to...

So, I'm not too sure I have anything good to say. Reception staff are rude and unhelpful. Rooms are basic, could be cleaner and need updating. The first room we were in smelt of urine, we had to move rooms as the hotel then needed that room. The second room smelt of cigarette smoke, we informed reception but they said...

The hotel was clean and the staff were very obliging. However, I expect when I check into my room to find details of the local attractions and other useful information. There was nothing either in my room or in the reception . I asked for a local map but none were available and I was shown a large map on...

A simple hotel fit for purpose, which would get a much better review if it weren't for the receptionist telling me to pay 100 dirham for a taxi (which my tour guide had advised would cost only 15), on the basis it was a Sunday and there are 'no taxis on Sundays.' Unfortunately having spent a couple of weeks travelling...

Everyone there was very helpful and even let me leave my bags on my last day in Morocco even though I wasnt actually staying there.
