Riad Dar One has been renewed with elegance and originality and combines harmoniously design, charm of the old riads and modern comfort. A particular care have been brought to all the lamps and to the thick curtains witch give a smart and funny touch, "very vintage" . An attentive and smiling staff is present 24h on 24 to serve, advise and meet all the expectations of travellers. A haven of peace in the heart of the Medina.

Riad Dar One was the perfect option! It had a great location, allowing us to walk most of the city. The decor was romantic and beautiful. The staff was super attentive and helpful throughout our stay. Their communication before and during our stay was amazing! And the pre-booked taxi was so helpful and made for a super smooth arrival. Breakfast was delicious every morning! Our room was clean and spacious. Highly recommend!

Dar one is set in a great location, hidden away in the Jewish quarter, a sanctuary to retreat to at the end of the day. Just as seen in the photos. Sirocco Room upstairs is clean and calm with a traditional rustic vibe. The private roof top area is lovely with Atlas views. Other rooms all have special touches and there are only 6 rooms so no crowds. The open roof area has loungers and jacuzzi surrounded by plants and lamps and birds flying back and forth. Best things. It’s quiet, pretty and if you want to relax you can do just that. The friendly staff of 4 keep the riad ticking over like clockwork:- Abdel, Hassan and the two lovely ladies all welcoming, they’re like a little family, there when you need but not obtrusive. It’s safe for women travellers and suitable for couples, family and singles alike. Breakfast is good. Forget the breakfast buffet at those big hotels! You’re served in peaceful surroundings and everything is fresh daily. You can have lunches too at a reasonable price. Loved the old lanes outside with families going about their day to day. There are cats living in the alleyways which are friendly, they like treats by the way. Bahaia palace is a 3 minute walk away, local shops too, The Medina and souks 20-25 min walk, everything’s within the city’s walls. If you speak a little French it’ll help in Marrakesh, but the staff at the hotel speak English and will help you out. Do get their taxi for transfers, they have a service at the hotel which works well. Drivers collect you outside arrivals and you are dropped at the meeting point where Hassan will lead you through the narrow lane to the hotel. Room for improvement: Food was fine, but more varied choice of Vegetarian options for lunches and small snacks would make it even better. Would have liked a kettle but that’s a British thing. The ugly: The guide experience. We shouldn’t have booked this guide Saiid through the riad that’s my biggest regret. Being trawled around souks and shops for things we didn’t want nor needed was exhausting in the heat. To a herbal shop, anAfrican antiques shop given the talk about no photos, don’t touch but feel free to buy. Gift shops, dye shop, spices etc with the guide walking ahead most of the time or leaving us to go off at another point! Requested seeing a few historical things and less shops since we’d paid 60 Euro for the tour. Saiid actually told us that “it didn’t matter to him if we didn’t enjoy it because he gets paid anyway!” (not really the attitude of a professional). This was extremely disappointing. What started with plaisanteries turned sour when I said I didn’t want any more shop. We spent most of the tour asking if he’d slow down a bit and wait. This was a personal tour after all! The only consolation was we asked him to drop us at a good restaurant when the tour finished and we got some wonderful photos from here. We mentioned it to Abdul (manager) who was surprised as he vets the guides, explaining that our experience was unusual, I guess we were unlucky with that one. We booked other tours from home which were much better, worked out great, no issues. Again, loved the riad, the people and would have given 5* had it not been for this experience.

This place was a great find. Location was excellent and as for the service... Top notch. Abdul was fantastic giving us lots of help and advice, booking various things for us and making sure we had everything we needed. Mohammed and the ladies who did breakfast and cleaned the rooms were also fantastic. Would definitely recommend

Many great points to this Riad - it’s clear that the staff really care about making it a good experience for the guests and the location is really good. The common areas have some really nice touches like books etc. They also let us use the common areas of the riad in the afternoon as our flight wasn’t till the evening, which was much appreciated. I felt that some of the pictures didn’t reflect the current state of the Riad as some areas (like the roof terrace) looked quite run down with chipped paint on the steps leading to the hot tub , a broken parasol etc. Compared to some of the breakfasts we had in other Riads, our breakfast at Dar One was quite limited - no yogurts or offer of eggs. It would also be nice to be provided with a printed bill instead of via whatsapp.

A lovely small boutique hotel. Excellent concierge service regarding restaurants suggestions. The location is excellent as it provides for quiet from motorcycles and your a 10 min walk from the Fnaa square. Rooms are clean, up to date with no sign of wear. A/c worked immediately. Roof top terrace was lovely. Breakfast was enjoyable. WiFi is weak but that is common. Highly recommended. Don’t worry about the initial walk through the ‘mullah’ to get there. Very safe.

We stayed at this road and te other two Riads in the chez Sophie group of hotels and all were super clean , friendly and very helpful , Riad dar one was the best for position and accommodation , bit all of them were charming . Abdul was especially fantastic as he had personal contacts at all the restaurants and we were never left struggling for places to eat . He organised an amazing trip out to the waterfalls at the top of the Oualika Valley , took a whole day with a guide and own driver stopping for a light lunch and the Anime gardens along the way . (€210 ) well worth it . Also we were short on accommodation for our last two nights and he must have been on the phone for two hours recommending and sorting us out . Thankyou Abdul . The dinner on the first night was delicious and worth having g of your flight gets on late and the breakfasts are vast , fruit , pancake , omelette and juices . All in all we had a fabulous experience , all rooms air con and wonderful showers , clean and have everything you’d expect . Great value too .

The stay at Dar One was fabulous from start to finish. The team were communicative prior to our arrival. Tip: Ask the Dar One to book your taxi transfer it is by far the best option. The Riad itself is a tranquil paradise with the chaos that cones with Marrakech close by. The rooms are clean and the bed super comfy. The breakfasts are very welcome. Nothing is too much for the team and we had a wonderful time thanks to Ahmed, Karim and Khalid. They helped us to tick all the boxes with what we wanted to do on our trip. We stayed in the Scirocco room and enjoyed the exclusive rooftop sun bed and the shared hot tub. All in all a perfect trip.

This riad is truly outstanding and in a fabulous location near the Bahia Palace gate. Initially difficult to find so it’s best to get transfers from the riad itself so they can guide you through the hidden alley to the riad . We were warmly greeted by Abdul who took the time to give us important information and was on call all week via WhatsApp to help with restaurant bookings, tours and anything else!So friendly and helpful which made all the difference! The lamb tagine we had on our first evening was amazing and breakfast always delicious. Thoroughly recommend staying here- you can’t go wrong!

Stayed for the duration of our 4 day trip to Marrakech. Beautiful room and bathroom, incredibly clean with everything we needed. Nothing was too much trouble for Abdul who gave us brilliant recommendations and made sure we didn't get lost around the Medina! The breakfast every morning was a real highlight of our trip. Location was absolutely perfect and felt like we were living amongst the locals rather than a fake tourist experience. Would recommend to anyone.
