Location makes this place. 2 minutes walk from the main square. Yes the rooms are basic but they have everything necessary. Helpful staff and a nice rooftop terrace. good value and a very good base for city

Had a wonderful 3 night stay in Riad L'Heure D'Ete. The rooms are beautifully furnished and a nice bathroom too. The roof terrace for a drink is a tranquil spot. Had dinner here on our first night and couldn't fault anything. Breakfast is lovely, fresh juice, fruit and a variety of breads. All the staff go out of their way... More

My partner and I just returned from a 7 night stay at L'Heure d'Ete, a beautiful traditional Riad in a fantastic location, just 5 minute walk from the frenetic but fun main square, Jamaa el Fna. We selected this Riad due to the excellent reviews, good value and location and were not disappointed. If you are looking for the glitz... More

Visit in mid-may 2016. Great location, walking distance to all the main attractions but a cool oasis of calm in amoungst all the bustle and the noise. Decor is beautiful and traditional, which you wouldn't get in a hotel, and is clearly clean and well kept. The staff are polite and helpful without being intrusive, and speak enough English to... We visited Marrakech between 28th April and 3rd May 2016 and stayed for 5 nights at Riad L'Heure d'Ete. The riad is in an excellent location with major sights in Marrakech medina only 5-10 mins walk. A good location for walking the city. The staff is very helpful and caring. We booked the standard room and in the hindsight should... More

I had an unplanned stay here for one night, after my luggage got delayed on the way out. And I have to say, I'm glad I did. It's a fantastic Riad, very secluded, hidden away down the narrow alleys off the Jamaa el Fna square. My room was extremely comfortable, and it's the first time I've walked in a hotel... More

We were overwhelmed by the hospitality shown to us by the staff in the riad. Their attention to detail is something else. Do not be put off by the un-assuming entrance - this is a traditional riad building set in the old town. It's location couldn't have been better. Yes there are other riads further in towards the main square... More

I just returned from spending 3 nights in Riad L'Heure d'Ete and could not have been happier. We booked an airport transfer with them and were met at the airport by a lovely man and straight into a clean and modern car - very cheap (15 euros) and no waiting for other holiday makers or squeezing your luggage into a... Our room was very spacious and clean. The location was close to the main square and an easy walk out to the road. The staff were very friendly and helpful with a map for getting around and also organising drivers for day trips. Breakfast was served up up the roof terrace which was lovely.

Arrived late evening to be greted with a lovely drink of mint tea and a friendly face on reception. The Riad is positioned perfectly for exploting Marrakesh, easy to get to the main square and from there to all the other places of interest. I could go on and say how nice the rooms are, but thats been said in... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
It is in the fascinating shrine of the Medina, sheltered from too much modernity, that you will find this welcoming house that was a traditional Marrakchi family mansion until 2006It took 2.560 trips by donkey drawn carriage to bring all the new materials needed to renovate the house and make a dream come true. But all our efforts have been rewarded and l'Heure d'Eté is now a lovely ryad proud to combine the discreet comfort of stylish modernity with the best of age-old Moroccan traditions. 13 rooms and a suite are distributed on three different levels around a glass-roof patio-lounge that can be opened at will to enjoy the best of the season.L'Heure d'Eté is located in the vicinity of Jemaa el Fnaa Square (3 minute walk) and will provide you with all the expertise and comfort you need to enjoy the unforgettable beauty of the red city. ... more   less
