My wife and I just returned from two weeks in Morocco where we stayed in several riads. These are former private homes, more like city palaces, that have been converted into intimate hotels in the old town centers. The one where we stayed in Marrakech was the Riad Moucharabieh. Like most riads, the non-descript exterior hides a wonderful experience once...

The Moucharabieh was an interesting experience for Marrakech. We trekked a short distance into the Medina as a thunder storm came over the town, making dodging donkeys and motorbikes even more challenging. We were welcomed at our car by the gentleman of the house who proved to be pleasant and welcoming for our whole stay. The riad lower floor is...

We stayed at the riad for a long weekend from Friday to Sunday. Hotel/ Rooms: It`s a typical riad with a bautiful patio. They pay a lot of attention to details and all is decorated nicely. There are fresh roses around the patio, in the rooms and rose petals in the toilet and shower ever day. It´s very clean and...

I loved this place! I stayed 3 nights and was struck by its beauty, comfort and great service! Majid, the older man who has worked there forever, could not have been more accommodating, hospitable and helpful. Although his English is limited, he did much to ensure that my stay was pleasant and comfortable. I had dinner at the Riad each...

We stayed two nights at this Riad located inside the Medina in Marrakech. We were upgraded to a suite upon arrival. The room was amazingly romantic. There were red roses everywhere; on the bed, in the shower, and in vases in the bathroom. The room had a fireplace and the gentleman came to the room and set the fire each...

We arrived late at night on the first night of our stay in Morocco. Walking through the bustling chaos of the Marrakech Medina and then down a small dark alleyway, my partner and I walked through the front door of Moucharabieh into a glittering internal courtyard full of roses, fountains, palm trees and lighted candles. We felt for that moment...

I stayed at Riad Moucharabieh for 2 nights. The Riad had a lovely courtyard and the common areas were nicely maintained. Service: Nora and her staff were very nice and helpful. Room: Rooms were nice and overlooked the courtyard. The room was quite dim, could have used some additional lighting. (Warning: There is a mosque close to the hotel, I...

Apparently "Moucharabieh" refers to the lattice work on Marrakech windows which allows one "to see but not been seen". The riad lives up to its name, it is a quiet oasis in the hustle and bustle of Marrakech. We are a family of 5 with 3 young children and all thoroughly enjoyed our 2 nights there. The plunge pool was...

Our tour company booked us at this riad and we were very happy with it. The courtyard is beautiful and the rooms are quite nice. The service was excellent. The location is close to the main square. It's about a ten minute walk through the side streets, which will take you past many shops and places to eat.

Don't get fooled by the unattractive exterior, inside these bleak walls with chipped exterior paint is a beautiful, peaceful oasis. We stayed there for only two nights, but enjoyed every minute of it. Our room was large and comfortable, and also quiet, which was not the case in the riad in Fez where our room faced a very noisy street....

“We had the opportunity to look at all the rooms in the Riad as we were the only guests staying for 2 nights. Would recommend any of the rooms as are all of equal quality.”

“We book our Moroccan trip through "Experience It" travel service which can be found on the web. They chose the riads where we stayed. They provided an excellent experience at a very reasonable price. We could not be more pleased with what they offered. Also, ask for an English speaking drive named "Driss," who drove us all over Morocco in his Mercedes van.”
