We were looking for a nice quiet place to have lunch in Marrakesh and Palais Donab was just the place: the square with the pool is just gorgeous and perfectly quiet (with nice orange trees everywhere for confortable shade). The staff is very nice and efficient. The meal were excellent and reasonably priced. Definitively recommend!
Great hotel. Lovely convenient location. Rooms brilliant, staff very helpful. Would definitely recommend. Restaurant very good. Had new year here which was excellent. Great entertainment and superb meal.
Location! Location! Location! This hotel is in an amazing location. I actually learned that this hotel used to be part of the Royal palace, which is literally right next door. Apparently, the King doesn't really use that palace as much anymore, but cool nonetheless. With that being said, there are always guards nearby which gave it a sense of more security honestly especially when we were walking by at night. My friend and I got to Marrakech in the later afternoon, so we didn't have too much time for sightseeing, but was able to get to Dar El Bacha Museum of the Confluences since it was about a 2 minute walk from the hotel. In addition, this is in walking location to a ton of good restaurants including Nomad, Le Jardin, Dar Moha, etc. Our room was (Koutubia) was also HUGE for two people, so I would have to imagine the other rooms might be pretty spacious. I thought their breakfast was also pretty good and had a good variety compared to the 4 other hotels I stayed at during my Moroccan vacation. I would definitely recommend this place and would stay here again if I am back in Marrakech!…
The hotel is ideally located in the heart of Medina, next to Dar el Basha (another place worth a short visit). Rooms are spacious with beautifully decorated original ceilings. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The restaurant serves delicious food in a dining room which makes you feel like as if you are dining in one of the palaces. A swimming pool is an added bonus.
We enjoyed a wonderful dinner in the beautiful courtyard of the Palais Donab. Excellent service and he Tagine and Tajine we very good. One dish was traditional chicken, lemon and olive tangine and the other was chicken, apricot and raisins in a broth. Definitely worth a visit
