Charming traditional riad in the heart of old Marrakech. 4 rooms only and a large garden terrace with hammam. Excellent location: central, safe and easy access. Cosy feel and special mentions for the way it's cared for and the surprising cuisine. Last, but not least, the excellent price for what it has to offer. The riad offers an interesting cooking experience with its chef, with shopping in the old food market of Bab Doukkala.

We have been to Marrakech many times and stayed in several different riads but this one beats them all. It’s in a very safe location, Mouassine, and is very convenient for walking to the souks and the main square. We loved our room, Nomades and were particularly pleased with the good lighting, thick towels and well placed mirrors. Our bed was very comfortable and we slept well. What makes this place so special is the staff. They are all so friendly and nothing was too much trouble. We only met Ibrahim once but he told us that he, Fatima and Fatma have been working together for many years. Fatima’s cooking is wonderful and we had dinner in the riad every one of the five nights we stayed. She also treated me in the hammam which was amazing. But the absolute star is Aziz. He seemed to be there 24 hours a day. He brought me hot water every morning, served us breakfast and dinner, printed off our boarding passes and was a mine of information. He is a real treasure and I just hope the owners are aware of his meticulousness in everything. We shall definitely return next year - Inch Allah.

The riad is centrally located, about 10 minutes from Djemaa El fna. The rooms are beautifully furnished, as are the small lounges that open onto the inner courtyard. Breakfast and dinner (on request) can be taken on the roof terrace. Everything is freshly prepared and is typical of the country. Cooking courses are also offered. All the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, whether it is planning and organizing an excursion, taxi or restaurant. You feel like part of a family.

The atmosphere of the riad fascinated us!
The staff was very friendly and helpful.
The location is very good, there are many restaurants of different price ranges within a few minutes' walk.
The roof terrace is also very nice, where breakfast and dinner were served.
Sights are easy to reach on foot, the souks are just around the corner

My teenage son and I stayed at Dar Attajmil for 4 nights and I would absolutely stay again. After a few hiccups with the uncertainty of our delayed (connecting) flight, Lucrezia kindly arranged for a much needed car transport, and upon arrival the staff were patient and welcoming. We stayed in both the Tea Room and the Nomads room, both were beautifully decorated and very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious on the roof terrace, and I would highly recommend the massage and Hammam. The Riad is in an excellent location easily accessible for taxi's heading outside of the Medina, as well as for immediately accessing the many treasures to be found by walking inside the Medina. Thank you for a very pleasant stay!

What a great accommodation. The location is top, just on the edge of the medina, so you sit quietly and yet close to all the hustle and bustle of Marrakech. Aziz and Fatima are great hosts, from the first moment they make you feel completely at home. They really treated us like family, so the goodbye was secretly quite difficult.

The atmosphere is wonderfully relaxed and it feels even more beautiful and atmospheric than in the pictures. The room is very nice, clean, spacious and the beds were lovely. Highly recommended is the cooking class that facilitates the accommodation. What an experience to make Moroccan dishes together with Fatima and learn all about the local cuisine. In short, this is one of those places you want to go back to. 100% highly recommended.

A really lovely riad with wonderful, friendly staff. We had the larger room so had 2 double beds which was ideal for us travelling as 2 female friends. We walked to all the main sights and museums in the medina. We felt safe at the riad and in Marrakesh. We ate at the Riad on the first evening on their rooftop, which was lovely and great food. There are a few nice other rooftop restaurants very nearby - El Fenn is gorgeous, only an 3 minute walk, and good value for fine dining. There was another opposite the Riad (MK Maison) with a lovely rooftop with views. The Riad organised a taxi transfer both ways for us. Be aware the there is no car access directly outside the Riad - it is a minute walk down a side street, no problem for us. I would 100% recommend this Riad to stay!!

We were made to feel very much at home in this beautiful riad in the medina. Our hosts arranged a taxi pickup from the airport (worth the few extra dirham for the first time) and were welcomed with mint tea and some basic tips for what to see. The riad itself has only a few rooms off of balconies surrounding a shady courtyard with a huge banana tree. Ours were very comfortable, with nice touches like orange blossom soap and bottled water. Breakfast and dinner (if you want it) in the rooftop garden is relaxing and gives a great view. The location is very convenient to everywhere in the medina, while not too far from the gate for excursions beyond the city. My son and I left for an overnight in the desert and everyone was very helpful in storing our bags and having a room ready when we returned. Ibrahim, Aziz, and Fatimah all made us feel very welcome and that that we had a home away from home in Marrakech. We would definitely stay here again.

Riad Dar Attajmil is like a piece of heaven right in the center of bustling Marrakech. The decor is warm and inviting and the peaceful ambience is apparent as soon as you enter through the discreet front door. There are only four rooms available to stay in but that is what makes this Riad so personal and special. The location is ideal for visiting all the interesting places on foot but taxis, tuktuks and horse carriages are only a few minutes walk away in the nearby main Jenna Al-Fna square. The staff are more than helpful….very approachable and friendly but not pushy or overwhelming. The food was fresh and delicious and plentiful. We stayed in a number of places including a 4 star hotel but this was the best of the bunch!

Very kind hostess and kind flooring staff. Cozy and clean room, the riad is three minutes or so from Jamaa el Fna square. We also stopped for dinner and ate very well, with carefully prepared dishes and very kind and professional service. The hamman experience was beautiful. We will be back

Riad has been the perfect base to explore. We were made to feel so welcome and the staff genuinely cared about our time with them, offering a multitude of recommendations for eating out and visiting the local attractions.

Celebrating our wedding anniversary, we really appreciated all the special touches and the fabulous, romantic meal on the roof terrace on our first night.

We'd 100% recommend this Riad as THE place to stay.
