We don't often treat ourselves - but thought we would like to stay somewhere lovely for our (very) short honeymoon. The Riad Azzar is utterly gorgeous in a quiet, bewitching way. The food was unforgettable - breakfasts on the terrace in the warm morning sun and an evening meal that was simply stunning. The hosts are exceedingly welcoming and knowledgeable...

Wonderful mix of traditional Moroccan style and individual hospitality offered by the Dutch couple that owns and runs the hotel. Small enough to be private, big enough to be sociable, Riad Azzar is a snug, romantic hide away, reasonably priced and with a very friendly staff. If you're weary of the Medina, just say so, and they will cook you...

We stayed for 2 delightful days in this truly beautiful Riad in the heart of Marrakech. Fantastic hosts, fabulous food, and wonderful accommodation. A real gem. Fully recommended.

We just returned from a 3 weeks in Morocco and stayed at Riad Azzar for a total of 7 nights. It is an oasis of serenity amongst the madness of Marakesh yet close to the square. Our hosts Cees and Maryk were fantastic and we enjoyed our early evening beers on the roof terrace with them. The rooms are all...

My boyfriend and I have just returned from a four day trip to Marrakech, staying at the Riad Azzar. This was my first trip to the city and, although I had heard about riads before, I was still stunned by the hotel's sense of tranquillity and peacefulness as well as the exotic beauty of its design; all just a five...

Decided at the very last miniute to take a break in Marrakech. Didn't realise just how busy the city would be and how difficult it would be to get accomodation just a day in advance. Chanced upon Riad Azzar and from then on everything was a breeze! We booked 2 nights in the Zayan suite and one in the Taznarth....

My daughter and I stayed at Riad Azzar for 5 nights in September as two of a group of 10. Between us we booked out all the rooms and it was lovely to feel that we had the entire place to ourselves. The Riad is beautifully decorated and a wonderfully serene atmosphere has been created which was welcomed after the...

What a perfect little piece of Paradise amongst the mayhem of Marrakech! No more than 5 minutes easy walk from the market place, Riad Azzar was the perfect haven to return to after a hectic day of shopping/eating/touring. We booked out the whole Riad as we travelled as a family group of 10 including 3 teenagers and it suited us...

We stayed here for my boyfriend's birthday with friends. This is a lovely Riad which is in the perfect location just a few minutes away from the busy souks - a great place to recover and relax after sightseeing and shopping! We stayed in the suites which were wonderful especially as they had air-con. The pool is lovely and essential...

My boyfriend and I stayed at Riad Azzar for three nights in September 2006. The raid is right in the Medina but once you are inside you would never know you are so close to so much noise, it is so quiet. The staff our friendly and the rooms are beautiful. We did not eat there for dinner (I am...

“We stayed at Riad Azzar and chose our room for bigger size and the beautiful alcove sitting area (with the carved wood screen for viewing into the courtyard.below). Riad Siwan is a newer renovation, done entirely by Cees and Maryk, and the design elements throughout will, honestly, just knock your socks off - it's just astounding. Either location will be a real treat for you.”
