Its a very well maintained riad. Friendly staff and very courteous and helpful. Its just very difficult to get to ones room and that wasn’t mentioned . as in the fact that there are steep steps to get up and down for everything. I wanted the experience of staying in a riad for the local culture but was a bit let down that it wasnt as i had imagined… We only had breakfast no meals, and it was fresh and service was excellent.
My partner and I have just returned from a magical few days in Marrakech, staying at Riad Ayadina. The Riad is beautiful; simply but tastefully furnished with the most amazing staff who go out of their way to make you feel welcome and like they are there just for you! The Riad is very well located, being just inside the medina walls, which means you can get to other places easily (and picked up by taxi very easily) and it’s a 25 minute walk to the main square in the medina, through gorgeous streets. If you are a first time visitor, consider a guide to take you around the medina streets as it can be quite intimidating (the Riad team can help with everything you need). The food at the Riad is something else - really fantastic - it’s very reasonably priced for an evening meal and top restaurant quality in a stunning setting. Even the simple breakfast is anything but simple - delicious fruit, breads, something cooked, freshly squeezed juice and fresh coffee - I could go on about the food all day! Finally our room was really spacious with a separate dressing area and large, gorgeous bathroom. I really didn’t want to leave and hope we can visit again. Thank you to the whole team for a wonderful stay. Vicky and Simon …
Stayed for a week from end of Nov to start of Dec and was not disappointed. My double room came with a safe inside where I stored my valuables. The staff are all very friendly, nice, and down to earth. Whilst they all speak French and Arabic mostly they can also speak enough English for a conversation too. The housekeeping team clean the rooms regularly, provide breakfasts and any other meals that are paid for onsite, as well as being able to provide food and drink on request. Breakfasts and meals can vary day to day but usually breakfast consists of the following items: Pastries Bowl of fruit Fresh orange juice (with pulp included) Small jar of yogurt A small tray with 3 types of jam/marmalade, with butter and cheese A pancake/crepe A hot drink (Tea, or Coffee, or Mint Tea) You can also get some good advice from them for activities to do during the day or places to visit. They can arrange transport to/from the Riad depending on your requirements. One member of staff even helped me order food online and have it delivered to the Riad (similar to JustEat) on the first night while I was hungry but arrived too late for the last meal to be served. This Riad is approx 30 mins walking distance from Jamaa El Fnaa - it is a good location just outside the hustle and bustle of all the markets/souks/locals, but not too far to walk or take a short taxi ride to your destination. It is also approx 30 mins taxi ride (100-150 Dirhams, approx 8.5km) distance from the airport.…
We stayed at this beautiful Riad for 7 nights and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The decor is beautiful, our junior suite was huge, staff were very friendly and very helpful, and food was lovely. Only one negative and that was that there was no coffee/tea making facilities in the rooms which we found odd however we would definitely return ☺️
Amazing stay in Riad Ayadina. We love all, the warm reception of Christine, the very nice and elegant decoration, the food is excellent , all the staff is very kind. Awaiting to come back soon. 10/10 !!!
An unique experience and most pleasant. A lovely welcome, staff friendly and most helpful. It is beautiful at night up on the roof terrace or having dinning outdoors on the lower floors. The decor is beautiful. We both loved the spa experience and the gentleman was so kind and professional. Tip: get a taxi and agree a fair price before you get in. Have the correct money as they will say they have no change. Walking into town in the heat can be exhausting plus crossing the road is an experience. Taxis are great value if you have a rough idea of what to offer. They locals here are friendly be nice and tip.
Liked · The Riad and its owner Christine were right on the mark. The Riad is perfectly done and immaculately clean. Casual vibe, elegant interior, punctuated by great lighting, art and foliage. The service was like staying at a 5-star hotel, but more relaxed. We could not have asked for more. The breakfasts we enjoyed were both delicious and hearty. We had dinner one night at the Riad and found it to have a very modern presentation with a stacked salad and roasted chicken with Moroccan ingredients and a very French potato side dish. Christine is is an absolute treasure, knows Marrakech like the back of her hand and is always available to help. After taking a few of her suggestions, we just decided to do whatever she said which made for a fun and more interesting trip. The only fault we could find was that she was very optimistic about our taxi negotiating abilities (pro tip: find a cab driver you like, get his whatsapp phone number and pay 50 dirham ($5/USD) for trips around town. You're happy, he's happy). Disliked · There is nothing we could improve upon except maybe allowing the breakfast to include their poached egg on lentil beans each morning.…
The accommodation was wonderful, lots of atmosphere and very friendly staff. The rooftop terrace with pool was great for relaxing after a day in the Medina. We had dinner on two evenings and the food was great. Breakfast menu changed every day.
The reviews are all correct….the staff here are truly wonderful. Warm, friendly, funny, knowledgeable and happy to help me learn snippets of Arabic each day, that helped enormously with immersion into the day to day! They truly made the stay very memorable. The Riad itself is very comfortable and clean with a relaxed and authentic feel. I stayed 8 nights with a friend I’d not seen for 3 years since Covid. So we spent a lot of time on the roof terrace under umbrellas, dipping in and out of the small but most welcome, icy cold water of the pool. Whilst also enjoying the Riads fabulous food (and Moroccan wine)! The heat in August was quite oppressive and our venturings out into the Medina each day were short. Not an issue for us both as we’d visited Marrakech many times before. So sightseeing was not part of our agenda. The Riad is north of the Medina. A good 20 minutes walk to the Souks. For us a great location, as it’s in a residential area so you get to experience the real Medina as you wander. It’s also adjacent to the Northern wall, the benefit being Taxis can easily drop you back from the square when you’re hot, sweaty and keen to be back in the cool oasis of the Riad. If you’re looking for an authentic Riad with sensational staff, you won’t be disappointed…
We weren’t sure what to expect as it was a new experience for us to stay in a Riad. As we entered the Riad through a little door in an alleyway, we were welcomed by Christine and her wonderful staff and immediately felt relaxed. The courtyards with palm / olive / orange trees were beautiful and meals we had there were delicious. The Riad has a very relaxed atmosphere and all the staff were some of the friendliest that we had ever come across on our holidays all over the world. The chef and the waiting staff were very courteous and helpful giving attention to detail. The rooms were beautifully furnished to a high standard and I must say that I had the best nights sleep! We were directed to friendly taxi driver Faical who really looked after us and we felt that he genuinely cared for our safety whilst we ventured into the Souks etc. Above all, I have to give great credit to the owner Christine for the relaxed atmosphere she has created for her guests. My advice to fellow tourists who have never stayed in a Riad is not to miss out on this wonderful experience.…
