Beautiful Riad /hotel all the rooms different booked through www.HipMarrakech.com which gives great/honest pictures of the Riad. Madeline was brilliant and very helpful, what ever she says you can count on it being correct. Tried various resturants but have to say that one of the best evening meals was in the Riad, and breakfast on the top floor with a...

We stayed at Dar El Souk for two nights in October and had an amazing time, it was exactly what were were looking for during our visit to Marrakech - incredibly friendly and peaceful with a beautiful roof terrace and the most delicious breakfast served on our private terrace outside our room each morning. The perfect place to stay to...

Fantastic stay, we were there 11/6/10 for 3 nights, I had been to Marrakech before, but first time in a riad. Maddy (the owner) gave a lovely warm welcome (not something you get in a big hotel) and an extremely informative chat about the sights and basically the 'low down' on everything Marrakech. The riad was in a super location...

I travel alot and one of my main expectations is local authenticity. Dar El Souk gives you that in abundance. The Riad provides you a sense of how the old medina may have been a few hundred years ago but still allows you the comforts you want when on holiday. A contradiction? yes it is and thats why you have...

My mother, husband and I recently travelled to Marrakech for a four day break, and chose Dar El Souk because it unusually offered connecting rooms with a central bathroom (Smarine Room) so we could be altogether. However, when we arrived, upon being warmly greeted my Maddy (mint tea was delicious!) and given the top tips for our stay in the...

Maddi and her staff look after you as if you were guests in their own home. We enjoyed the wonderful Morroccan style of the place, the atmosphere, the welcoming staff, the delicious food and help booking spas, trips, restaurants, taxis. We really couldn't hope for more. Highlights were soaking hot feet in the cool plunge pool in the courtyard and...

We had 4 night in Dar el Souk with our daughter. We had asked for a car to pick us up from Casablanca and it was waiting on our arrival. Our daughter had a car waiting in Marrakech air[port for her. The breakfast was very nice, plenty to start the day, including fruit salad, which was the only Riad that gave us...

We stayed at Dar el Souk for the second time (first review) during the February half term and despite the somewhat wet weather we had a fabulous time. Dar el Souk is in a quiet location not far from Place Jemaa el-Fna and has the feel of a colonial building and is full of many interesting rooms and sitting areas....

We stayed at Dar el Souk for a long weekend at the end of February. The trip was a surprise for me so I had no idea what to expect, but the hotel is fabulous. We arrived in the evening, and the owner, Maddy, had arranged our taxi from the airport, and a "barrow man" to meet up from the...

All I can say is that if you want to stay near all the attractions yet experience authenic hospitality then look no further. The riad is just great, rustic a little tired in places yet clean and the staff are very friendly and extremely helpful. The food fantastic, the best meal we had during our stay and the breakfasts are...
