We stayed at the Kech twice in the same trip in November, 2022. We landed in Marrakech and stayed there for two nights before going on a road trip to the Sahara desert, and then we returned to Marrakech and stayed at the Kech again for one night before flying out. It was all part of a packaged private tour. Our experience the first time was not very good. We felt the service was lukewarm, the room was not too clean, especially the mildew in the shower area, and the dinner buffet in the restaurant was not the Moroccan food we expected on our first night in Morocco. To add insult to injury, they wanted us to put a $20 deposit to get a couple of beach towels for the pool. We didn't expect such nickel and dime procedures in a supposedly 5 start hotel. Then six days later we returned to the hotel from our road trip to the desert. We were greeted warmly at checkin. They gave us an "upgraded" room. It was spacious and clean, the breakfast and dinner provided were excellent, and the service was very friendly. We could open a tab at the bar, and this time, we didn't need to put a deposit to get pool towels! They even gave us a box breakfast of croissants when we had to depart from the hotel at 4:30 a.m. to cath our flight the next morning! The hotel is close to the airport, so that was convenient.

ok the bed was comfortable. Nice balcony. Breakfast good except coffee which was awlful, request an espresso insead. Note best not to go right at 7 as coffee and some other thngs not quite ready but avoid going near 10 am too crowded. During the day the menu is limited although the sign in front of the restaurant suggests otherwise. I did not go for the buffet. Some staff do not speak Englsih afew only Arabic. French comes in useful. Some staff need lessons on how to treat customers as some not very friendly, Strange llaubdry set up eed to bring it the day before not the morning of the day you need it. Never heard of this before. Bathroom should have saop or an actual dispenser. Pouring out body lotion to wash your hands? Crazy. Get a hand pump at least. Toilet area is a bit bleak. Bath area ok but desing error with wall making entry limited. At first I was going for a 3 but some improvement noticed in employee encounters on my free day. Location is not good though, too far away from anything.

Met at the front door, staff were friendly approachable and chatty. The front desk was served by a young lady who again provided me with great customer service, knowledgable about the local area and happy to provide suggestions.

I had just moved from another hotel down the road and my one night there was more than enough to put me off. I’m so glad I moved when I did, this hotels rooms are well laid out, modern and comfortable, I travel a lot with work and I am considering coming back for a holiday after my experience.

Close to multiple places in town worth a visit and the pool is stunning. Sitting in the evening enjoying the room service (that was very well priced and very tasty) listening to the birds that gather in the courtyard watching the hawks fly in and out was a perfect start to a work trip.

Thank you for a great and accommodating stay. Highly recommend.

The hotel was nice with friendly staff. However, when intending to go to the pool with my boys, I notice something shocking in the policy. It states that "...for security and hygiene reasons the burkini is not allowed in the swimming pool." This is absolutely ridiculous and demeaning for muslims. Women can go into the pool naked, but modest wear is not permitted?! Living in the west all my life, I had never had this problem, but ironically face it in a Muslim country!

Since Feb 10 2020 I paid around 150$ at the reception for deposit during check-in. During check-out, I was confirmed that the deposit would be deducted the taxes and then I would get the remaining amount refunded.

But unfortunately, I have not received it back until now. I would like to ask your hotel to check it again and inform me any further information.
I hope to get that pre-authorization back soon and I am looking forward to hearing back from you.

Please contact me as soon as possible if you receive this review !

I never write reviews, but this lackluster experience needs to be reviewed for others' caution. I will make a list of very disappointing things. Maybe and hopefully hotel management will take this as an opportunity to improve. I will not be coming back and here's why:

breakfast had bread that was not fresh. It didn't take a baker to know that this was just frozen for God knows how long and warmed up in the morning. It's also the same bread you get with lunch and dinner, even a dryer. The croissants, pain au chocolate, and other pastries were old too. There were no sugar-free drinks and the carrot juice was laced with sugar, when asked for a sugar-free option, I was told no. Later a kind lady making omelets did offer to make a sugar-free juice.
lunch, as mentioned before had the old bread, the potatoes were not fully cooked and partly hard, and most shocking of all we were not offered water with our full board. I know drinks may not be included but God did it come across cheap to not even put a jar of tap water on the table at the very least, not to mention water is only 5DH at the supermarket and they charge you 25DH for the same bottle.
the pool area was just disgusting. The lounge chairs of plastic were broken when I tried to sit in one it caved in and when I lifted the cushion the plastic was all broken. All the lounge chairs were dusty and had bird poo on them. They have this nasty green fake grass carpet around the pool that is also disgusting with black pieces sticking to your feet and I wonder why they can't use rough tiles for people not to slip. The worst of all, the pool has a white hue, as if there is milk in it. You could barely see the pool floor. I love to swim but this was not inviting at all.
during dinner, there was this group of loud drunk people who were drinking and smoking all afternoon leaving the entry to the dinner buffet stinking and vulgar.
the dinner buffet was below average, dinner starts at 7 and the food was cold around 8.30.
the worst are the carpets in the rooms and hallways, the carpet literally stinks and had stains.

There was some light though, our server Youssef. He was the kindest man ever and we really enjoyed his company and service. During lunch, he advised us on what to order and the steak, salad, and tiramisu were good.

Please do not be fooled by the pictures on the website. The hotel is average and very small. It doesn’t really have a modern feel about it considering it’s 4 star. It was very hot when we were out there (30th July to 6th August) However the 3 bedrooms we had were very large and clean. There is no iron in the room. They have laundry service. You can borrow an iron on request subject to availability. There was 10 of us, 4 adults, 2 teenagers and 4 children. The poolside is small and can get crowded. At times it felt like a club environment at 1pm by the pool with large groups of women in their 20s getting the DJ to play their playlist from their phone and some songs were highly inappropriate with swearing, this was stopped immediately when I addressed the DJ and management. The breakfast was a choice of basic and repetitive food and when something ran out it was not always replenished. All staff were exceptional with their help and kindness, extremely polite and respectful. Housekeeping was on time and spotless. The spa is tiny as was the make shift gym, can’t really call it a gym. They would not always have AC on in the foyer which was crazy considering the heat what we paid for. Sadly I would never go back there again.

I am writing this complaint while staying at this hotel kech Boutique hotel in Marrakech on today Thursday November 18th 2021. This is my first stay at your hotel and It will probably be the last. Long story short, there's absolutely no customer service whatsoever or sense of urgency whiting your staff! We arrived yesterday Wednesday November 17th ,Our room didn't have hot water so we couldn't take our showers. We called the receptionist to let him know there's no hot water and we absolutely need it! We waited and waited and nothing was fixed! The next day we spoke again to the receptionist that we couldn't take our shower and we need hot water! He responded ok we'll have someone fix it.we leave for the day and come back to our room to find there's no hot water!!! How can a hotel function with no hot water! Please explain this to me, what else can we do in this situation? I have a 3 year old daughter that cannot take a cold shower! No one cares about our basic needs! I'm absolutely disgusted by the unresponsiveness of the staff and will make sure to escalate this issue to the highest level. I will make sure to contact trip advisor and other reputable sites to let them know of our terrible experience! I asked to speak to the manager and no response either!

Okay hotel with a good position.
The rooms are very spacious and well furnished.
The cleaning was not good. Especially in the corridors. The moquette smells very badly. The swimming pool was quite dirty as well.
The service was bizarre. We ordered some cocktails at the pool bar. While presented with the check, the prices were almost the triple of what we have seen on the menu. The waiter hesitated a lot before admitting that we were given an "old" menu with "old" prices. They changed our check in the end with the prices we saw at first. It was quite confusing.
Overall it was okay, but I would not recommend it.

Out stay at Kech (July 2023) was amazing. The hotel is clean and staff were extremely helpful. Food served at breakfast was varied and the staff were at hand if you needed anything extra. The swimming pool was kept clean and never overcrowded. We hired a car and parking at the hotel was always easy. The hotel is close enough to the main square but far enough away to be peaceful. The spa facilities were reasonably priced- I did have to ensure the time allocated for my treatment was as stated (I think they double-booked and I was left waiting between treatments!).
We visit Marrakech regularly and this was our first stay at the hotel- we will definitely be booking the Kech on future trips.

Mate I didnt pay a deposit, I remember someone arguing with reception about being charged for using the mini bar who insisted he hadn't. I wasn't asked to pay a deposit but then again I was very unwell in Morocco and did use my mini bar and so I may have paid a deposit without realising - sorry. I would email them every day and if you still don't have you might want to advise them that you will be mentioning it on your trip advisor or google review - that usually helps managers sort out these kind of issues a lot quicker!! Could be that they have charged you for towels or some other random thing. Did you book direct if not you could also contact the travel rep and report.
