We recommend this amazing Riad! Impeccable accommodation, personalized breakfast and served in a beautiful and romantic garden, where there is also a great restaurant! Every member of the staff is kind, helpful and professional in all areas of the hotel! Emphasizing here the person of Stefania, with pertinent and valuable indications and orientations about the city. 4 unforgettable days! Antonio e Luzmarina - São Luís - MA - Brasil
My friends and I loved this riad so much, it was so hard to leave. It truly was a peaceful oasis, in what can sometimes be an overwhelming city. Service: After hearing some horror stories from other friends who have traveled to Marrakech, my friends and I immediately felt at ease with the outstanding service that 72 Riad provided. Riad 72’s amazing service begins as soon as they pick you up from the airport. Easy to spot them outside the terminal, and the driver was so welcoming. Our driver introduced us to our luggage porter, I think his name was Amir? Throughout our stay, he ALWAYS had a smile on his face, whether we saw him at the hotel or walking in the streets. Special shout out to Khalid who served us our welcome tea, breakfast, and also assisted with other requests. Khalid was always available to help out, and made sure no request or question was left unanswered. Khalid is an asset to the team at 72 Riad! Also shout out to Yassini who provided excellent service for us at dinner. The housekeepers always made sure we came home to a clean bed, and would even leave delicious macaroons at night! It’s unfortunate we did not get every team member’s name at the riad, otherwise I would name everyone we encountered. Every employee made us feel at home and made us feel like VIPs! Location: The riad seems tucked away as it is off the main road and away from the busy action of the Medina. We were very thankful to be in a quiet and secure area because we felt very safe here. We were only 5-10 minute walk to the Medina. The taxi stand is only a 2 minute walk away from the riad. Ambiance: The riad is beautiful. Every single detail of decor is visually pleasing. It is obvious that the space and design of the riad were meticulously planned. Our deluxe XL room was absolutely gorgeous. It was enough space for 3 of us, and we appreciated having 2 bathrooms. The showers in our room had strong water pressure and perfect range of temperatures. The air conditioning was strong and much appreciated by us Americans in the heat of June, so to us it didn’t matter that there was no pool compared to other riads. I highly recommend staying here and making this your home base in Marrakech.…
I cannot recommend this Riad enough. Every staff member was friendly, kind, helpful and professional. The service in all areas of the hotel was top level. The Riad itself is one of the most beautiful, most calming spaces I have ever been in. Beautifully decorated in a traditional Moroccan style with a modern/luxurious twist. Our room and rooftop was just as stunning. Incredible location, with everything you will want to see within walking distance. The food was delicious. Excellent value for money all round. I could not fault the whole experience and this will be the only place I stay in Marrakech from now on.
My wife and I had a wonderful ten days at the Riad 72 living. The boutique hotel is just the right size, not too many rooms to be anonymous, not to few to be intrusive. You can find new rooms, seating areas and vistas, while still not getting lost. The architecture, design and furnishings are elegant. However, the standout aspect are the staff. They operate as a team. Kind and positive to one another. Their attention and attitude is so warm and genuine that you are literally left wondering, how special these people are and how special they make you feel. We were astonished and overwhelmed in the nicest possible way. I could go on, about the amazing master suite, with 10ft ceilings and a cupola, or the great food, but let's leave it at that. I'm sure you get the idea.
The place itself is ok. Unfortunately it’s spoiled by a patronising manager who speaks down to her customers. It’s a shame as it left a bad taste for us about the riad. Breakfast is exactly the same every day. The service was very slow. I wouldn’t recommend staying here.
Our stay at 72 Road Living was a dream; from the gorgeous environment they have created, to the attentive and infinitely helpful team of staff. The hotel itself is beautiful, with attention to detail displayed in every aspect of its design and setup - it is peaceful and calming, with a gentle buzz in the courtyard at mealtimes - created by a combination of hotel guests and external visitors who come to experience the excellent food. Rooms are kept spotlessly clean like the rest of the hotel - and are visually calm and simple but cleverly designed with lovely detail touches that make guests feel at home. Of particular note is that the team provide a local pre-paid mobile phone for guests to use for the duration of their stay; making it easy to contact the staff from inside or outside the hotel. The food prepared by the chef and team of ‘Table du Riad’ (the hotel’s restaurant) is superb; local fresh produce used sensitively and imaginatively - as well as beautifully presented. 72’s staff are its secret weapon - every member of the team is friendly and supremely helpful, nothing is too much trouble. From the simplest item of foodservice - to one-off occasions where they take the opportunity to help way beyond the call of duty; When our flight was cancelled, the manager Stefania and her team were able to accommodate us at (very!) short notice, extending our stay by a total of 4 days - and ensuring we felt completely welcome throughout. When my wife was suffering with a migraine as we were checking out, the staff arranged a dark room for her, attentively provided her with local remedies and virtually guarded the room to ensure peace and quiet for her until we had to leave for the airport. In all - a fabulous experience, created in no small part by an outstanding team of people - who are genuinely motivated to ensure every guest’s experience is individual and delightful.…
The staff were amazing except the Manager Stefania who publicly berated me over a misunderstanding. Her tone was condescending, obnoxious and patronizing. 1. Rooms were claustrophobic, dim and dirty (pl see photos) 2. When we requested for Stefania to help book us Dinner at Royal Mansour she said it was "closed for an event" . But we managed to book directly and there were no events 3. She encouraged us to get airport fast track at 80 Euros a pax which was completely useless as it is not peak season and the line for regular immigration was shorter than the fast track On the positive side, the staff were attentive, warm and genuine, unlike the manager who was completely fake and was only nice when she could get something out of you.
The hotel room was absolutely disgusting with filth on the carpet which was hung on the wall, despite having all the lights on at night, the room was still extremely dark. Honestly, we wanted to check out of the hotel due to how DIRTY it was but decided to stay because of the brilliant and kind staff who was the most accommodating excluding the manager Stefania which really felt as if she was scamming us even if she did not profit from it. Since it was our first time in Marrakech we did not know how immigration would be like and when Stefania kept on persisting that we needed something called "Fast track" we eventually caved in and got it which costed about 180 Euros for 3 people!!! When we got to the airport we were shocked to realise that there were more people in the fast track lane than normal immigration, a total waste of money!!! Even with the numerous amount of good reviews avoid Riad 72 unless you want to stay in a dark and dirty room. I hope that if any staff see this that they know how much we appreciated their good service throughout our stay. …
Our first time in Marrakech was a wonderful experience thanks to the staff at Riad 72. Very welcoming, kind and helpful, they made our stay at the riad and in Marrakech a wonderful experience. The location, service, food and the riad itself were absolutely fantastic.
We had a wonderful experience during our stay there, everything was so carefully thought of from the arrival pick up at the airport, to the welcome tea, to the dress up of the breakfast/dinner space and the extraordinary facilities such as the Hammam and the massage. Stefania and her team were a lovely host, very helpful and with an extreme care for details to make our stay as good as possible. The architecture of the Riad 72 is very authentic, generous and calm and it offers multiple opportunities to set back and enjoy some quality some either alone or with a bigger group. I'd say it's great place for all sorts of guests, either couples or small families. Big shout out to the stuff as well, we were impressed by their kindness. I wish we stayed more, but I am sure we will go back soon.…
