What could I say that has not been said by other reviewers? This is a serene, and frankly breathtaking Riad. Situated only a breath away from the bustle of the energetic centre, Riad dar Hannah acted like our little oasis in the middle of the friendly mayhem of the souks. The room was large, elegantly designed, and very clean; the staff were attentive and extremely helpful.
My partner and I stayed at beautiful Dar Hanane for a few days in September. The riad is a perfect peaceful sanctuary from the hustle and bustle of the busy Medina. The staff were very attentive and friendly. I would definitely recommend anyone to stay here when visiting Marrakech! Also, the food is delicious we had a wonderful kefta tagine on our first night.
Second time I've stayed in one of the riads from the Pure Riads and it does not disappoint. My aircon was broken on the first night, but the team were so apologetic and fixed it immediately in the morning. The staff were so hospitable, kind and friendly, and the breakfasts were divine. Can't recommend enough - suitable for us as female travellers, but also lovely for couples and also families.
My partner and I stayed for 6 nights at Dar Hanane, and couldn't be happier. The staff were exceptionally helpful, and the riad was beautiful. It's fair to say that, when you're new to Marrakech, the medina can be an imposing place, but we were immediately provided with all the information we needed by Mohamed, the manager, on arrival. I cannot understate how important that was as, whilst the city is amazing, there are a lot of people on the streets that are out for your cash (there are many scams that can behalf the unwitting tourist - the most common being told 'you can't go that way' or 'it's the last day of the leather market' etc*). If we'd not had this guidance, we'd have probably found ourselves significantly out of pocket and completely lost! Each morning Mohamed would also pop round after breakfast and ask what plans we had and help us get the most out of our day (e.g. advising on the best way to reach a destination, and even showing us how to spot a good quality rug!). He really is a first rate host. Breakfast, by the way, is had on the roof and includes coffee, orange juice, mint tea, baked goods, fresh fruit...the list goes on. I'll greatly miss the view from the terrace. If you're considering Marrakech, I can't recommend Dar Hanane enough - you're not just getting a wonderful place to stay - you're getting all the information you need to make the best of this wonderful city. *note, Marrakech is not 'unsafe', it just has an opportunist, literally, on every street. Frustrating, but once you have that knowledge, you know how to avoid the blighters.…
My family had an excellent stay at this charming hotel! Our rooms were clean and lovely, with a view of the orange trees in the courtyard. The location was convenient, the breakfast was delicious, and the rooftop was wonderful. The most noteworthy part of our visit, though, was the truly fantastic service provided by the amazing hotel staff. They were so helpful, warm, and welcoming; it really made our stay. They greeted us with mint tea, offered us drinks throughout our stay, helped us locate restaurants (and walked us to one to ensure we didn’t get lost), and even provided a 4:30 am breakfast on the day of our very early departure. In particular, Yassine was incredibly helpful, kind, and thoughtful - just a gem of a hotel employee. Thanks for everything, Dar Hanane and Yassine!
A haven from the hustle and bustle of the streets outside. We must single out Yassine, who gave exceptional customer service to all the guests - attentive, polite, walking us to places we had difficulty finding, and bringing us back too. Lovely rooms, great food.
Beautiful place - quiet and peaceful but just steps away from hustle and bustle of the medina. The rooms are large, bright and very clean. The beds are super comfortable. There are orange trees in the patio and you hear birds chirping in the morning. Breakfast is fresh and delicious - try it on the roof terrace for the views of medina. The service is very friendly and welcoming. A great place to stay!!
We stayed four nights at Riad Dar Hanane. The welcome and introduction to Marrakech advice from Mohammed was great - from his advice we could navigate our way through the souks almost immediately. The room was charming and clean. Beds comfortable & very spacious for three of us. Breakfast was presented well, delicious & plenty of choice. On my daughters birthday Mohammed organised a beautiful cake. They could not have been more attentive. We are planning a trip in September & will 100% be staying at Riad Dar Hanane.
2 years after my first visit, I decided to bring my wife to enjoy Marrakesh in the winter. Riad Dar Hanane did not disappoint. Friendly staff, superbly run my Mohamed and his team including the ever attentive (and always available!) Yassine. Subtle decoration, wonderful rooms, roaring log fires and excellent food. And the roof terrace is superb at any time of day. A special place that I will return to (again!).
We are traveling with our two sons, 22 & 17. We were met by Mohamed on arrival with mint tea and lots of great information about the Medina including where to eat and how to not get lost! The rooms were lovely and while it is not the most flash of the Riads, it is comfortable, simply stylish, quiet and spacious. The service is excellent with the delightful Yessin, the evening and morning manager, serving us with great kindness and good humour. We had dinner on the first night on the terrace, by candlelight and it was delicious and plentiful. My husbands birthday was during our stay and they even bought a gift bottle of wine which they left in our room with a lovely note! Thank you Mohamed and Yessin and all the staff. Annie & James (and Gus & Jack).
