Just returned from a five night stay , the hotel is so beautiful and the staff are amazing . Our room was huge with a lovely terrace . The pool was unheated so didn't use it but it was a pleasure to sit by. We had lunch 3 times and dinner once , the food was delicious and served with... More

This place is absolutely gorgeous and an excellent escape from the craziness of the Moroccan medinas. As some of the reviews do mention, it's outside of Marrakech so taxis are needed to get around. Overall, the hotel caters to a clientele that seeks a foreigners experience in Morocco (which is much needed sometimes!). It's comfortable and luscious in its surroundings,... More

We have recently returned from a wonderful holiday in caravanserai near Marrakech. It is a beautiful place to stay . We were mesmerised from the moment we walked over the threshold. It is an old building which has been carefully restored to incorporate modern comforts whilst retaining the ambience of its past. Our room was very spacious with high vaulted... More

My (new) wife and I toured Marocco and this was the only disappointing place that we stayed at during our visit. We stayed two nights. The place is quite isolated, about 25 minutes from the airport and a taxi from anywhere else, and it seemed that they knew this and, therefore, that 'they had you' an example of this is... More

The service at Caravan Serai Hotel was absolutely perfect. The staff were very lovely, helpful and they made us feel at home. Girls, do not hesitate to ask the staff for the henna made by Samira (I am so pleased and love my henna) - it truly is better and cheaper than in the city centre. Our room was more... More

We arrived at the Caravan Serai via the hotel shuttle which other than being 45 minutes late, was very welcoming and got us to the hotel in 25 minutes. The arrival to the hotel and its entrance was a bit alarming as you enter a small village on dirt tracks! The hotel management hired an excellent photographer to create the... More

This is an amazing little get away from a busy day to day life. Couldn't fault the hotel one bit! The staff are so helpful and kind, the food is fantastic and traditional. The attention to detail is amazing, loved every minute of it and would highly recommend this hotel.

Stayed here with a friend for a girly long weekend and absolutely loved it. Great friendly and funny staff who were always on hand to get drinks and give advice on things to do. The garden has a collection of tortoises including some babies which made my day! We spent a lovely afternoon in the spa the Hammam is an... More

My boyfriend and I have just returned from our first trip to Morocco. We spent a week in the hotel caravan serai and cannot speak highly enough about the whole experience. On arrival we were met at the airport by a friendly driver who took us to the hotel via Marrakech centre. The drive to the hotel is approximately 20/25... More

We spent a week at this hotel and it was every bit a gorgeous as the photos on their site. We were picked up promptly at the airport and after an interesting drive through Marrakech and into more sparse dessert like terrain we arrived at the oasis of calm and beauty which was Caravan Serai. The staff were friendly and... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Evoking the ancient stopping places of the travelling merchants, the CaravanSerai is symbolic of the other face of Morocco. The interior courtyards and secret corners are inspired by the traditional Berber villages. In luxurious simplicity the 16 bedrooms and suites are decorated in a refined ethnic style. The Hammam, with its tadelakt plaster columns and its great pool subtly lit by shafts of light, is considered to be one of the finest in Marrakech. ... more   less
