This was our first time in Morocco and we decided stay in a riad and not a chain hotel because we wanted to get a sense of the Moroccan hospitality. We weren't disappointed. Riad Hikaya is lovely - this includes the staff and the facilities. The riad is decorated in a more traditional Moroccan sense which is nice. The little...

In order to end our honeymoon in Morocco stylishly, I looked for a riad in Marrakech that looked both luxurious and small enough to offer personalized service. To be fair, my first thought was to book one of the most famous resorts in town, like La Momounia (stunning hotel really, and great restaurants) or the Four Seasons (I had even...

From booking and communicating with Jane, everything was so seamless. We're happy to have chosen them for our honeymoon (& quick trip to Morocco). I am completely grateful that we were able to book with them in March. Everyone is so wonderful and attentive.

Loved the ornate dining room and rooftop terrace to relax and have breakfast. Service was attentive, efficient and the staff were really warm and friendly. John the English owner was really helpful in advising...

We very much enjoyed our stay at this gorgeous riad. Jane and the entire crew were extremely helpful with helping organize trips, making reservations and any special wishes. You immediately feel like home. Also make sure you have at least one dinner there.

We have just returned from a 3 night break at RH...two crazy couples from Wales in a magical city! The Riad was welcoming from the moment we arrived until the moment we had to leave. Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Riad Hikaya is a luxury boutique hotel located in the royal quarter of the medina, called the 'Kasbah', and only an easy walk from the main square, Jemaa al Fnaa, and the city's other famous landmarks. It took three years of meticulous restoration by local craftsmen and artisans, employing both age old techniques and materials, to transform the riad into what it is today. The two roof terraces, planted with orange, lemon, grapefruit and pomegranate trees, offer superb, open views onto the snow capped Atlas mountains. Guests are welcome to eat in our 'Café Des Epices'or on one of our roof terraces to make the most of the view.Included in the room rate:• Moroccan/Continental breakfast• Remote controlled air conditioning and heating for the cooler months• Fresh fruit & mineral water• Fresh flowers• "Sens de Marrakesh" toiletries• Babouche - his and hers• Flat screen tv / satellite channels• Nightly turn down service with rose petals• Ipod docking station• Free wifi internet access ... more   less
