2022 Travelers' Choice Best of the Best
This perfectly located 18th-century riad has been in the Bouskri family for almost 200 years and offers the complete package of traditional architecture, authentic furnishings, exquisite cuisine and, above all, overwhelmingly hospitable service. The owner, Mohamed Bouskri, having been a guide for the rich and famous for 34 years (Brad Pitt, Nicole Kidman, former US presidents and others) is a mine of information and is always glad to share his knowledge and passion of Marrakech.

This charming and historic Riad is a joy to look at and stay in but the best part, by far, is the service. Everyone was so pleasant and helpful. It was wonderful to stay there, the location was very quiet and breakfast in the rooftop terrace was delightful. Highly recommend!!

Could not have had a better experience. The hotel is glorious. The staff was super friendly and attentive Meals were excellent. Marrakech is a very busy thrilling city, and the hotel right off the strip is such a nice respite. The owner who also has a wonderful museum of Moroccan art and a gallery and a spectacular restaurant just next door is about the most pleasant human being I have ever met.

This Riad is located in the far north of the old city, about 20 minutes walk from the main attractions of Marrakech. The building is beautiful and the rooms are nice, but the service is far from being as “homey” and friendly as in smaller Moroccan riads where we had stayed. Overall the feeling is of a larger hotel and not of a cosy, friendly place.

An absolute delight and must experience for oneself the hospitality, the attention to detail in culture, design and history. We met the owner and he showed introduced us the Moroccan Cultural museum next door. The rooms are superb, the bed soft and comfortable. The food selection from breakfast three dinner with the warm fresh baked bread and olives is special. Dont forget to enjoy lounging on the rooftop.

So close to the walls of The Médina this Riad was the perfect calm after the hustle and bustle outside. The room was delightful . The staff were exceptional and nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast on the roof terrace was the perfect start to the day. We had dinner there every evening. Not something I’d normally do but it was just delicious so why not? I am very happy to recommend this charming place and would not hesitate to return.

We cannot fault anything and the Staff were superb and couldn't do enough for you. We would encourage anyone visiting Marrakech to consider staying at Riad Kniza.

This Riad was the perfect place from which to explore the Medina area and a little further afield. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the staff first class, always ready to help in any way they could to make the whole experience of being in Marrakesh so enjoyable. The food was very good though the full menu a little overwhelming with all the dishes involved! The owner’s private gallery was so interesting, and he was around from time to time ensuring everything was running smoothly. Would recommend staying here to anyone visiting Marrakesh.

Riad kniza - fantastic property, immaculately cleaned every day top to bottom. Lots of history and love poured into construction of the Riad. Breakfast was a highlight of each day - even though simple in form (eg continental breakfast), there is plenty and the local pastries were always a highlight. Staff were very lwelcoming and hospitality was excellent. If you are fortunate enough to meet the owner of the Riad, make sure to ask for a tour of his private gallery right across the alley - a really intriguing set of antiques and personal collection.

Riad Kniza made our trip to Marrakech one to remember. We've traveled all over the world and never found such a high-quality, luxurious experience for such a reasonable price. It's safe to say that in the United States, most European countries, or tourist destinations you would pay perhaps 3x the price for this quality of service. The Riad is so authentic and intimate - there are only eleven rooms, I think, and the staff takes care of your every need. They'll make up your room multiple times in a day, and help you arrange anything you need from guided tours to a room service dinner from the restaurant next door. The breakfast is delicious and the rooms are perfect, but the staff are really what makes this Riad special - I would give the service six stars if I could. We will definitely come back next time we're in Marrakech.
