2022 Travelers' Choice Best of the Best
This perfectly located 18th-century riad has been in the Bouskri family for almost 200 years and offers the complete package of traditional architecture, authentic furnishings, exquisite cuisine and, above all, overwhelmingly hospitable service. The owner, Mohamed Bouskri, having been a guide for the rich and famous for 34 years (Brad Pitt, Nicole Kidman, former US presidents and others) is a mine of information and is always glad to share his knowledge and passion of Marrakech.

We had an amazing time at Riad Kniza. The staff were so welcoming and eager to satisfy our requests from the beginning to the end of our stay. We fell in love with the riad’s gorgeous architecture, our beautifully decorated room and its fantastic location. We loved having our breakfast served on the terrace. They even made a birthday cake for me. We’d like to thank you all again for your amazing hospitality, and can’t wait to see you again!

Tucked away in a small alley like many Riads, my mouth just dropped open when we were escorted inside and asked to sit in one of a few sitting rooms on the ground floor. I felt like I was in a sheik's inner courtyard. The artwork, artifacts, decorations alone are eye catching. The interior of the riad goes on forever with different hidden rooms, indoor pool, spa, and several different sets of stairs. The roof deck has several tented areas for enjoying meals as well as lounge chairs for just relaxing. The staff is warm and makes you feel instantly at ease. The food is delicious, abundant and excellently prepared. We have stayed in many wonderful riads on this trip but this one tops them all!

My husband and I stayed a Riad Kniza a few weeks back for a special occasion and oh my goodness - it was spectacular. The service, from booking to our flight back out of Marrakech, was incredible. The staff were communicative, discreet, incredibly polite and attentive from start to finish. We totally understood why it was a celebrity favourite! The Riad itself was immaculate and so peaceful, a brilliantly located tranquil reprieve from the fabulous chaos of the medina, only a few minutes walk away. Our suite was immaculate, luxurious, everything we could have hoped for and more. The food (breakfast - wow!) was perfection. Every single member of staff, including the owner Mohammed (who’s museum opposite is an absolute must see - incredible), went above and beyond to make sure we felt at home and that all our needs were met - how much they genuinely cared really came across. For our last night we stayed at another well known hotel which I’ve wanted to visit for years - and it was also lovely (although significantly more expensive) - but it would be Riad Kniza that I would choose to stay at again of the two, without question. Thank so much to every member of staff that made our stay so wonderful - we can’t wait to come back! :)

We stayed one night but wished we had stayed longer. This is truely a 5 star Riad. Great details and decor. Every little detail is geared towards your comfort. Outstanding lavish breakfast in the room or if you prefer in your room. Wonderful service right from when you are greeted to when you leave. The owner Mohammad was the personal guide to many celebrities including the likes of Reagan, Nixon and Brad pit. He even gave us a private tour of his exquisite museum and store (opening shortly) right next door. The location is perfect and very close to the Center of medina and exit. We will definitely come back

Me and my wife had a great experience staying at Riad Kniza. If you are looking for a homely experience, enriched with Moroccan culture right in the middle of the actual madina Riad Kniza is the place. This Riad has a beautiful Moroccan architectured building adding all the modern aspect to the building without compromising the moroccan taste. I took my wife for a trip as a surprise for our 15th wedding anniversary and we were blown away by the hospitality, comfort, taste and professionalism of the staff in Riad Kniza. There's absolutely nothing more we could ask for. All the staff at Riad in every department, reception, restaurants, house keeping was very professional and welcoming. The owner Mr Bouskri is very approachable always around and take kean interest in the comfort of his guests, always greeting the guests and asking if everything is going well. On the day of our anniversary I booked a meal in Riaz, the food was amazing,on top of that they backed us a cake ( completely on the house) with 15 candle on it, all the staff came to greet us, Mr Bouskri personally came to greet us making us feel as we aren't in a different country but amoung our friends and family. Breakfast was fresh, tasty and amazing, beautiful sunny weather allowing us to do it on the roof has certainly added more fun to it. They have so many different items and they kept on changing it on daily basis. What made it different to other breakfast I ever had is the quality of the food. The honey, natural yoghurt, fresh juice, tea, coffee, bread etc all were of a very high quality. Riad is right in the heart of old city, going any where in the city is very easy and convenient, from Riad Taxi stand is 2 minutes walk at bab doukala, if you want to stroll by walk just turn right once you out of the Riad, with in twenty minutes of walk you would reach Kutubia mosque and the main souk. On the way you would have a great experience of Moroccan daily life and their beautiful culture. I have lived in England for almost 20 years, worked in a 4 star deluxe at one of prime central London location for 6 years, stayed in countless hotels in different countries across the globe,i I have to say this was by far one of the most memorable experience I ever had, in terms of the efforts and kean interest from the owner Mr Bouskri take in providing comfort to the guests this probably was amoung the top hotels I have ever stayed in. A very special thank to Mr Bouskri for making our stay an absolute dream. If we ever go back to Marrakesh ( which we will) Riad Kniza will be our first choice

Amazing Riad, so peaceful, beautiful furnishings, spotlessly clean 5 star! I have stayed in some of the best hotels in the world and this is at the top of my Best List. The staff are amazing-cannot do enough for you-nothing is too much to ask. Breakfast on the roof top, room, side of pool-you ask they will oblige. Amazing food, the haman and body scrub was out of this world-please visit and book yourself in. Huge shout out to Ali-an asset to the Riad! kind, calm and so helpful. Speaks better English than me! I will return to this Riad over and over!

From start to finish this hotel delivered on everything, even before arriving we were in touch with the hotel, we cannot thank Salma on reception enough for the level of service she provided, working with me to arrange our itinerary. Booking everything for us, being flexible when we changed our plans at short notice. The whole team are excellent, they cannot do enough for you to ensure your Marrakech holiday is one never to forget. We had a Hammam and massage in the hotel, wow, if you want pure relaxation, go for this. The interior design is beautiful, with so much attention to detail, a true Moroccan experience. We will most certainly book again. If you only visit the city once, you would not go wrong booking your stay at the Riad Kinza.

This beautiful riad is located right at the entrance of the souk, at Bad Doukkala, and is a haven from the hustle and bustle of the souk. From the minute we stepped in, we were treated wonderfully. Sara, Ali, Hisham and of course the wonderful owner made us feel so welcome. If you are looking for luxury, comfort and service, look no further. Had a lovely massage and hammam - thank you Nejat! Cannot find one fault! Would recommend this hotel without any hesitation, and will definitely go back.
