I brought a group of 17 artists to Marrakech January 25-February 2 having never been there before. First time as as a tour operator to have a group on the African continent. I did an enormous amount of research in the many months leading up to the trip and selected Riad le Perroquet Bleu based in large part of the reviews read here. Of course you never really know how it's going to be until you experience it yourself. I can say we were all so pleased with so much about it: first of all the scores of emails between Béatrice and myself helped to set the stage. But to me the absolute highlights were: the great and dedicated team at the Riad. I'm talking about Omar, Moustafa and Mohamed. We all became friends and always felt they were taking such good care of us. Even the night guy was responsive and always available. The women who take care and maintain the cleanliness of the Riad seemed like they were constantly working. I feel there's so much more I can say, so I will! There are so many places to hang out and unwind with a glass of wine or cup of tea. The rooftop seating areas, the many interior courtyard places to hang out. Loved the tajines prepared by the kitchen. I would say my group on average at 3-4 times at the RIad and other times went out into town. I ate there every night with just one exception and tried the chicken and beef or vegeterian tajines, the beef and chicken skewers and the pastias (not sure about that spelling nor exactly sure what it was!). Breakfasts were good with fresh orange juice and eggs on demand. WiFi access was good but they were in the middle of some router upgrades so there were times it went out. But never for long. I was able to get work done in my room on the computer with a decent enough connection, but in some areas the connection was outstanding. As others mentioned the Riad is actually composed of three Riads. The newest one being the Blue. I stayed in the older one and was happy there. I felt the older ones had more character - and less light, but I loved mine. Feel free to ask any questions and if I know the answer I will respond.

My family and I have just returned from a wonderful 10 night stay here during the Christmas holidays. The Perroquet riad is stunning, with its terraces commanding dramatic views of the Medina. The staff - Omar, Mustafa and Mohammed - were very welcoming and accommodating, with our every need catered to. We dined there most nights as the food was delicious and the atmosphere a welcome retreat from the more frenetic pace of the Medina. We were thrilled to discover that we could enjoy wine with our meal having mistakenly assumed this to be a dry riad. The breakfast was a veritable feast, with pastries, fresh orange juice, fruit salads, and eggs served every morning. We enjoyed a glorious couple's hammam and massage in the spa. We recommend you book the suite with a private solarium & sauna if you can although our boys' junior suite was lovely too and quieter, as it overlooked a courtyard. My only issue with our room was that it was a little chilly, although we were provided with a Dimplex heater. Lovely touches on New Year's Day with the gift of a scented candle, fresh flowers and treats were greatly appreciated. The staff organised an amazing and unforgettable day trip to two kasbahs with their excellent driver Mohammed Saleem. We would highly recommend this riad to anyone who wishes to experience authentic Marrakesh in the comfort and luxury.

Omar and his amazingly friendly and helpful team are fantastic.. (see photo) Those genuine smiles greet you every day and any requests are dealt with promptly and with kindness. The riad is gorgeous. Our room was big enough for our group of 4 (yasmin).. The breakfasts were perfect.. Coffee juice.. Freshly made cakes.. Mint tea pancakes... Eggs as you like.. Taxi's ordered when required. Would not hesitate to recommend... The riad is a series of interconnecting buildings and each of them beautifully decorated, charming, authentic morrocan detaiks and very clean. The staff work so hard to ensure the guests are comfortable and have a great experience.

Wonderful peaceful and attractive oasis in this wonderful, busy and vibrant city. It has a great advantage in that it is accessible by taxi which avoids the need to drag cases along narrow streets on arrival and departure. The welcome was warm and friendly and that continued for the whole of our visit. Everybody was so polite, friendly and kind. They went out of their way to be helpful if needed and not in the least bit pushy. We very happy with the trips and outings we arranged via the staff. The accommodation was full of character, cosy and comfortable. The whole place is traditionally charming and is spotlessly clean and architecturally and decoratively very attractive. Last and by no means least the food, breakfasts were ample and really nice and very different for a visitor from Northern Europe. We don’t walk far these days so after a full day out in the city we chose to eat at the Riad each of our 4 night stay. The food we had was traditional Moroccan, cooked from scratch on the premises and tasted home made in the best possible sense. It was always well presented and very very tasty, in short the food was excellent and very good value in terms of cost. In summary this is a wonderful place to stay from every perspective and I commend it to you.

A party of 7 girls stayed in this riad for 4 night during March. As it was our first time in marrakech we wanted to stay in an authentic Riad and this is definitely exceeded our expectations. The family suite and double rooms were spacious, beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. We had arranged transfers with the hotel from the airport as well as our first meal on arrival and everything was delicious including the complimentary breakfast we received each morning. The staff were some of the best I have come across when staying abroad and no request was ever too much they had arranged the transport throughout the trip, helped with queries and made the stay relaxing and enjoyable. If you get the chance to use the spa while staying in this riad take it we had arranged hammam and massaged and the girls working there were fantastic. Over all our experience was fantastic each tiny detail was attended too and I would definitely stay again!

Thank you for such a wonderful holiday!

What a great place is Riad Le Perroquet Bleu; upon arrival we immediately had the 1001 night feeling. It is colorful, clean, everybody is really nice and helpful (like booking taxi's, restaurants, showing you the way); we booked the hamam and we really can recommend it. After a day in crowds and busy Marrakesh a treatment in the Hamam is all you need.
Breakfast is served and everything is delicious; upon arrival you are welcomed with Marrocan tea and cookies.
The rooms are spacious and clean; bathroom with everything in it.

As them if you have diner one night; they will make you a delicious mail for a small amount.

As the Riad is not in the middle of the Medina you have to walk about 20 min to the centre but it is actually really nice that you have the quietness when back at your Riad.

I was welcomed with Moroccan tea and biscuits the day I arrived, and was given a choice of two rooms in which to spend my three nights. I opted for the first floor junior suite. It was gorgeously decorated and had one of the largest four poster beds I had ever seen. Muhammad went out of his way to look after me, as did Mustafa at breakfast time. There was no buffet, but the breakfast was more than ample and featured an omelette, Moroccan flat breads, jams, fresh crusty rolls, orange juice, coffee and mint tea.Tranquil chill out songs were gently playing in the background daily.

The riad is exceptionally clean and the pool is a welcoming feature in the dry Marrakech heat. I would definitely recommend the riad to anyone, as they really look after you. My only reason for not giving it 5 stars is due to location. It's not as close to the main square as I would have liked, but I guess it wouldn't have been so tranquil if it was.

very welcoming personell, small dog no problem, happy and attentive staff, silence in the center of Marrakesh - dream location, very good food (dinner must be ordered in advance before 12 hrs) we stayed only two nights due to flight schedule and we really relaxed. Very good place for exploring the city if you have more time. Organized tours available - very professional welcoming, generous and friendly!

We stayed here for 3 nights and were very satisfied with our stay. The location might not be fabulous, but it is only a 15 min. walk from the large Djemaa el Fna square. This walk is easy, sometimes a bit busy, but that is not unusual for the streets of Marrakech. Besides that, the breakfast we had were pancakes with various toppings, coffee, tea and fresh orange juice. This may be simple but the quality is very high. Also, the riad is extremely quiet on the inside, with even the chirping of small birds. However, the riad is located right next to a mosque so expect to hear the call to prayer multiple times a day. But for the rest, we are very happy with our experience at this riad. Kind regards, Vincent

Riad Perroquet bleu exceeded my expectations. It is a stylish old building set around three courtyards. Our rooms were large clean and comfortable. Both had air conditioning. The staff couldnt have been more welcoming.
Breakfasts were delicious and I would recommend eating at least one evening meal. You need to order in advance for evening food as it is bought fresh for you.
The Riad is located in a quieter street and is an easy walk to the attractions of the Medina.
Definitely take up the offer from the Riad for airport pick up and drop off, for 20 euros it makes life easy.
