The Dar Akal is a delightful riad within easy walking distance of every tourist site in Marrakesh medina. It's hidden away so you do need to take a taxi from the airport and follow Said's instructions. I'd booked a taxi through booking.com and it was about £10 - arriving in Place Du Moukef just after dark was so spectacular it...

Just came home from a week in merrakesh. I can honestly say dar akal is what made it for us, so quiet and tranquil after a hectic day out in the markets etc. The manager is lovely and so helpful he made us very welcome. Would love to come back to the rhiad in the future

Dar Akal is a cozy riad in the medina. The room was clean and charming, but what made the stay excellent was Said. He manages the riad and is the kindest person I have ever met. No matter what we needed or what question we had, he was always there ready to answer it. We had a fantastic stay, and...

Every detail in this place is tastefully renovated and the atmosphere is amazing with burning candles an flowers. We stayed in the Douria suite which is just marvelous with the beautiful decorated ceiling. At the rooftop terrace you...

We have just returned from a 4 night stay here and can absolutely recommend this riad. The property is beautiful and the location is in the heart of the medina. We stayed in the 2 bedroom suite our first three nights, which is perfect for a family or friends to share. There is a large double sink bath room with...

Very nice place: a traditional building with a flavour of past. Clean, well managed and pretty well positoned to walk into the suk. We also had a good dinner far from the busy traffic of the Medina. Said has been a great host and he suggested us a perfect day tour in the Atlas region. Thanks to Kamal too, perfect...

Stayed here for 5 nights with my husband. Wouldn't choose anywhere else. Loved it. Such a beautiful Riad and I felt really at home. First night had dinner on arrival. My favourite meal of the 2 weeks spent in Morocco so delicious and authentic. Said and the rest of the staff are excellent. So helpful. Breakfast was great every single...

Everything was absolutely great at this Riad. The Riad is located in the middle of the medina and all sights such as the souk, good restaurants, main place etc. was easy to reach. We were 4 women and stayed in the suite with 2 separate bed rooms and a lovely main living room. The whole Riad was very charming, our...
