My daughter and I spent six nights at Dar Akal and it was wonderful. I wanted to stay at a traditional Moroccan riad instead of an American/European style hotel. I read many reviews on Booking.com and Trip Advisor before deciding on Dar Akal. The riad is as beautiful in person as the photos online. The manager of the riad Said... More

The atmosfere of the Riad is amazing. Really calm and peacefull, beautiful, harmonic... The staff is very firendly and professional. Best food we ate in Morroco and for sure, the best Hamman and massage. If you go to Marrakech, you have to visit this place!!!.

The place is just beautiful. The service was perfect, Said was very helpful with anything we needed. The Riad is an oasis at the Medina. Morrocian decoration, clean and great service what else to ask for?! We recommended it for sure. p.s We also had a lovely dinner the first day at the Riad. Do it!

A friend and I based our booking on the overwhelmingly positive reviews of others and we were not disappointed. We booked for five nights in the middle of July. All communications with the management, prior to our trip, were prompt and helpful. In particular the offer of transport from the airport. An absolute must and makes life so much easier. You... More

We loved the dar akal. Said helped make our stay there truly special. If you are looking for an experience in the medina in a small intimate, safe setting, then this is for you!! Breakfast was provided and we ate one of our dinner meals here too, which was amazing.

Really a perfect place to get some rest in the trouble medina. The staff is really good, also the food they have there is really good not only at the breakfast. One of the days we ordered a dinner there and was really tasteful. Walkable distance for everyplace at Medina. The massage is also perfect :)

We stayed for three nights, the place is clean, well kept, with spacious rooms and serves a lovely breakfast. Saeed and the girls go above and beyond to make your stay as comfortable as possible, really felt looked after, and loved returning after a day's exploring to a quiet clean welcoming place, often greeted by the smiling multilingual Saeed.

I highly recommend this place if you plan to stay in the medina. the Riad is superb ( rooms are beautiful spacious and clean) but what makes this experience so complete is the dedicated staff: Said, Nazha and Hanane. Said is very friendly, helpful and makes you feel at home right away. Nazha is the whiz in the kitchen. Her... More

My stay at Dar Akal was so successful in 2014 I decided while I was there on that first visit to return for a longer holiday in Marrakech in 2016. I’d also made up my mind to take the suite Douiria with my best friend and my partner. The holiday was as memorable a one as I wanted it to... More

This was our first time in Marrakech and we wanted to experience a riad in the heart of the medina. Said, our host, met us from the taxi and then walked us through a maze of passageways until we were totally disorientated and were sure we would never find our way on our own! When he opened the door into... More
