We stayed for 4 nights & after reading the reviews were not sure what we would find. But we were really pleasantly surprised. Our rooms were really clean & we received housekeeping services everyday. The staff were always really polite & friendly, always happy to help with anything. We didnt eat at the hotel often but the couple of times we did the food was fresh & perfectly fine. The breakfast was a basic continental style breakfast but we hadn't paid for a 5 star hotel & it was perfectly adequate to start the day on. The pool & pool area was really clean....very cold but what else do you expect in an outdoor pool in March, in Mareakech? Once you are in the pool you soon get used to the water anyway & it was a welcome cool down from the heat! The only downside for the pool was the lack of sunbeds, there were only 5 & 1 of those was a little broken but we were not visiting in peak season so I am sure in peak season when demand is higher there would be more available. Location is perfect, close to everything, old & new town!…
I stayed at the Hotel Gomassine for a night before going to travel Morocco for a couple weeks. I heard the Agdal was cheaper so I stopped at the front desk to ask about price and availability for when I returned to Marrakech. The man at the front desk told me to find out online. It was slightly cheaper so I booked it online for my return. When I returned to Marrakech and checked into the Agdal I was given a room on the fifth floor. The air conditioning didn't work and I was told there was nothing that could be done. Because it was so hot, at 7pm that night I had the balcony door open while I was in the shower getting ready to go out. When I got out of the shower my room was filled with smoke and I could see the entire pool area was filled with smoke. I ran out on the balcony to see if I could see where the fire was. There was no fire, it was just smoke from the exhaust on top of the roof. When I got home at 1am the smoke was still bellowing out so I had to sleep with the balcony door shut. I woke at 3 am and saw out the door that the smoke had cleared. I wish I would have spent the little bit of extra money and stayed at the Gomassine Hotel again. The location is great if you want to be near the train station and a manageable walk to the medina. If it wasn't for the smoke and the unhelpful front desk this probably wouldn't have been a terrible budget hotel. I would go for the Gomassine next time though.…
It Was Me and My Families First Trip to Marrakech Personally We Had a Good Experience and Enjoyed Our Stay, The Hotel Staff Was Very Friendly and the location Of the Hotel is Right in the Centre Of Marrakesh Which Was Ideal it's Also Close to Amenities and Not too Far from the Airport, Really Enjoyed Our Stay and I Will Definitely book Again if I Ever Go back to Morrocco .
I spent the first and last night of my trip travelling Morocco here and I had to grin and bare it as I’d already paid and was arriving late on both occasions. It feels like a hostel or home they put down and out in. The noise from the main roads makes sleeping very difficult, I only got a couple of hours on both occasions. Really don’t waste your money staying here. I’ve travelled the world and it’s the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in its price says it all
