We arrived in Marrakesh, Morocco after an overnight flight from America. A quick drive from the airport and we pulled up to a dusty wooden door next to a used tire shop. We stepped through the street door into Villa des Orangers and were transported as if by magic into a completely different world. A softly lit stone hall lead to the most delightful inner tiled courtyard, shaded by orange trees and with the sounds of a flower strewn water fountain and singing birds. The staff immediately showed us to a table and invited us to eat lunch before showing us our suite. A plate of olives and the most delicious bread soon followed, and we were in love with the Villa before lunch was over. Our room was actually a two floor suite, with a daybed made up for our 18 year old son who was traveling with us. The layout of the spaces were well thought out and convenient for a family. The staff was the perfect amount of helpful, without being overbearing. The breakfasts they served were the best during our 8 day trip through Morocco. We were delighted the first morning when we walked by a box turtle on our way to an outdoor table and he proceeded to quickly catch up to us at our table and "beg" for food. I know it sounds hard to believe, but it's true. A waiter brought him a wedge of lettuce which he happily ate while we swooned over breakfast. We stayed two nights, and it was the perfect place to start our Moroccan adventures. Highly recommend.

My wife and I spent 3 nights here during May of 2019. It is a beautiful property and we would definitely stay again. The food was great. The dinner menu definitely leans more French and was excellent. Our room had an upstairs private terrace with a great view.

The hotel is very close to the market square and the mosque and you could easily miss it. It has a very 'low key' entrance, but step inside and it is like another world. Away from the hustle and bustle with quiet courtyards, orange trees and a lovely swimming pool - an oasis of tranquility. The architecture is lovely. The hotel offers an excellent package, airport pickup, lunch, soft drinks and laundry. This was our third visit and we have not been disappointed. The food is excellent, but the service is a little slow, but it is understandable in such a hot country.

A step back in time to old French influence in Morocco. Hardly visible from the street this is a well run and elegant hotel in the old French style. A far more genuine experience than the newer more trendy places, with no loss of comfort. Only caveat is that we had a hard arrival. The person who showed us the room was impatient, The AC needed adjustment and the mechanic didn't seem to know what he was doing and Restaurant manager was rude. Mais C'est la vie. A nice place nevertheless

My husband and I stayed in Villa des Orangers for 3 nights and were absolutely blown away by every single detail. The architecture, the rooms, the amenities, the staff that take care of your every need, the pools, the gourmet restaurant that is renowned for a reason, the spa and more. The experience is overwhelmingly well done-- from the guitarist that plays light music during candle-lit cocktail hour to the special oil that constantly fills the Riad with a charming, unique and fresh scent-- every detail is perfect. We even a traditional hammam at the spa which was a unique and wonderful experience. From the moment Ayman greeted us to when we left for our next journey we were floored. Even as we were leaving the manager Souheil inquired our next stop-- Lisbon. He quickly printed his top restaurants for us there that (not a shock) were tremendous. Incredible customer service and reflects his attention to detail throughout our entire stay. Villa des Orangers is an absolute Oasis-- an absolute five star experience with incredible, friendly, and hardworking staff! Thank you to all those we didn't mention here but who made our stay incredible (including the amazing young woman at the front desk-- I failed to write down her name but she was a true pleasure as well!) See you next time we visit Morocco.
