Authentic. Singular. Cool. FELLAH is a vibrant hotel just outside of Marrakech. Impeccable service, noteworthy dining and sumptuous amenities team up with yoga classes, a tree house and our small working farm where guests can actually gather eggs, groom a donkey or milk a goat. Our eco-friendly, artistic and Hammam-style guest experiences will transport you to another place

what can I say? IT IS JUST PERFECTION. the concept itself is unique, you get to explore so many artsy aspects in one location - there is a library, a spa, an art exhibition, animals like in a true Moroccan farmhouse…A mixture of Bali vibes x Moroccan architecture and family spirit. I would definitely recommend it. thank you for the relaxed yet rich in cultural adventures Fellah. PS: the food is excellent. You will definitely feel at home at Fellah 🤎

It's a shame this hotel has a 5 star rating! Where do I start? Unprofessional staff, terrible service, terrible food, and terrible rooms. We were unable to sleep due to cockroaches creeping into to our beds; and our friends in the room next door had bed bugs all over theirs! T he included breakfast is a joke, let alone the overpriced lunch & dinner menus. We were literally yelled at for bringing food from the outside. tl;dr it's such a scam. Run away.

Would definitely not call it a 5 star! There is nothing luxurious about it! Staff in the restaurant try to make money of you by forcing you to get food and then charging you a big bill. It’s a long way out of the city, 180 dirham each way from the hotel taxi service however If you get a taxi from the square you can pay 130 dirham. No restaurants or any other amenities to walk to so know that you will have to travel to do anything, and none of the tours bookable online will pick you up from the Fellah hotel as it’s too far away. If you do not have dinner included expect to pay at least 600 dirham without drinks per night. The breakfasts were below average and very repetitive. After raising my concerns to a front office member I was told I would have received a better service if I stayed in the hotel all day which makes no sense because there’s nothing to do at the hotel. I paid for a service I didn’t receive.

On Arrival We were told that they didn't have a room, even though we had booked on lovehoildays and paid. We were taken to a near by hotel which was a 2star. Day 2 We woke up at 7:30pm to get ready to be picked up. As we were waiting for the car, we meet another UK couple who were also told they didn't have a room and had to stay at the same hotel we were in.We didn't arrive at Fellah until 9am, once again we were told that a room still wasn't available. we were just told to leave our baggage and wait at the pool and we would be told when the room was ready. I returned back to the reception at 12noon, the room was still not ready. I returned to reception at 1pm, the room still wasn't ready. At around 4pm we finally got into a room. Once in the room we noticed that the bathroom was dirty, the sink in the bathroom had not been drained, a lighter had been left in the bathroom and the toilet seat was broken. The toiletries where half empty. We took a shower, only for the shower to over flow. We could not call reception as the phone was not working. Day 3 In the morning the shower flooded again. Its important to note that the pictures do not match the website/Instagram pictures. Throughout the majority of the stay the hotel ran out of food What should of been a relaxing break turned into the holiday from hell. I would strongly advise avoiding this hotel. It seems to only cater festivals and events. It’s a shame as it could be a great place if it was run correctly.

After going into my room, I promptly noticed a couple of things wrong. The water bottles provided at the hotel room had the seals broken which automatically made me think that these bottles have been refilled from the tap water which is a huge health and safety issue as this was the cause of upset stomachs which I will describe below. The shower cubicle was missing a door. I have gone with male friends. How do you expect us to shower in a cubicle which has no door? I made a complaint about this to the reception immediately and they said they would fix this which they did not. When I went to the reception to complain about this once more, the assistant was INCREDIBLY impolite. She told me that she couldn’t do anything for us. Both rooms that I had booked were completely awful. In one room the safe was not working as well as the fridge. However, this was the only thing that they fixed for us. It was only when we met the guest relation manager Laila by the poolside the following morning where she took some sort of feedback from us. They offered us a room which was of a lower standard in the basement which we refused as the there was a sickening stench and the clamour originating from the toilet. The smell was what I accept was cigarettes and human waste. Consistently the receptionist at the hotel refused to help us. The hotel does not have 24-7 food/drink amenities so that same day my friend had brought some snacks and drinks back into the hotel as he had a diabetic condition. The security and the girl receptionist refused to let him take it in and confiscated his red bull cans. So, we went back to the hotel room and we were considering leaving the hotel as everything was just going wrong from the get go. However first we decided to go out that night for a meal and then we would decide if we wanted to book an alternative accommodation. On the way out of the hotel the security guard started to threaten us and refused to let us out of the hotel for no reason what so ever. This felt like we were in a prison. What kind of hotel does not let its guests go out for food?! He started to argue with us and raised his voice. The other hotel staff stopped the fight and commotion and they finally let us out. However, this was the last straw and we decided to book an alternative hotel.

Not even close to a 3 star let alone a 5 star. The place is pretty rundown and basically they sell it to you as a farm experience! That’s exactly what it is an old abandoned farm! There is nothing luxurious about it! It’s a long way out of the city, 180 dirham each way, no restaurants or any other amenities to walk to so know that you will have to travel to do anything, and none of the tours bookable online will pick you up from the Fellah hotel as it’s too far away. If you do not have dinner included expect to pay at least 600 dirham without drinks per night. The breakfasts were below average for sure. On our last night (Friday) someone tried 3 times to open our room door forcibly, I called reception and the following morning was told it was probably just housekeeping....at 23.30? I think not. No one checked on us, it was pretty disturbing.

We booked a 7 day holiday with LoveHolidays to stay at Fellah Hotel. Okay, gonna try to summarise the most important points. First of all, if you re booking through love holidays it can be a little confusing as it seems in their website that this hotel is a 5* hotel and it has an all inclusive catering. So, none of this is true. Here is why: We bought an all inclusive package (and later realised that it was actually a “full board package” which is not even that as no drinks are included, not even water). You have 3 meals a day, breakfast is the same every day and it’s quite limited. You can see flies all around the food and birds will eat the breakfast with you. When the juice is over (they serve an watery orange juice in the morning with no extra cost), they do not replace it, so make sure you wake up early, as there are no top ups. - [ ] Lunch and dinner are a La carte menu, but if you booked the full board, they limit it down to 3 options of starters, main and dessert (which get quite repetitive after a few days, and even though the hotel was quite empty when we were there, they did not allow us to choose a different main from the menu, not even a burger.) At lunch and dinner is when it can get costly if you want drinks, as for example, a coke is 3x the price you will pay anywhere else in Marrakech. So we would strongly recommend that before you arrive, stop at carrefour supermarket and stock up, specially water. - [ ] The rooms are nice, for sure not a 5* one, but the beds are comfortable (sturdier than normal, but we prefer it over the soft ones). The shower is the main problem tbh, the water leaks erratically all around, you can smell sewage through the drain and there is no door, so it gets wet all around making it a bit uncomfortable. - [ ] The wi-if is awful, period. So, be prepared. - [ ] The hotel is pretty far away from the city centre, and it is located at a terrible, terrible, terrible neighbourhood, leaving you hostage to pay for a taxi to go anywhere. But the thing is, the taxi cost exactly 36x the price of a bus. We took the bus once and we recommend if you are willing and courageous enough to walk 20-25 minutes through the neighbourhood and be prepared to be harassed by men if you do not cover yourself (in a 23 degree weather), and the bus is always full, but when we say full, we mean packed. Other than that it is 10dh (return) a ticket over 360dh (return) for the taxi. - [ ] The main problem for us was: we got in our room, left our luggage on the bed and went to have breakfast, when we came back a guy was leaving our room and £10 were missing from our wallet, we called reception and they said that nothing could be done about this and they would call the police for us if we wanted to. We felt so disappointed with this, not just because of the money, but because of the lack of importance with something serious. So we had to ask reception to not let anyone else come to our room and we would do the cleaning ourselves (you pay for a 5* resort and still have to worry about this kind of thing). Even though we asked for no one to come to our room, on the 5th day, someone came and cleaned while we were out. So please, don’t trust people, lock your stuff as soon as you get to the room. - [ ] The gym is awful, period. Although Freddy (The personal trainer who also gives boxing lessons) is an amazing person and will help you with your workout for free and make you smile and work hard all the way through, it does not make up for the terrible state of the gym itself. The equipment is so, so old that you should be careful not to get tetanus (make sure you take your jabs before), and pray that it is not raining as the gym gets flooded. It’s absurd how they don’t care about this part of the hotel, as it could be dangerous for the guests and specially for Freddy, who has to work on those conditions (he should get a raise!). - [ ] The hotel has no entertainment at all. You literally have nothing to do at this time of the year if not going out to the city centre (be careful not to be ran over by a motorcycle). The pool is so cold that even hurts, the spa is so expensive, the boutique is always closed (but you can ask them to open, but the prices are 10x what you would pay in the city). The cocktails are not appetising and the fact that no drinks are included leave everything even more boring. You can play chess, though. - [ ] If you don’t like or have allergy to CATS, this is NOT the place for you. They are all around, specially during meal times and they will probably jump on your lap or on your table during your lunch or dinner (we don’t mind this as we love animals, but tbh sometimes it can be a bit annoying). - [ ] The staff is friendly, specially Youseff and Lamia that work at the restaurant, always with a smile, with such a good energy and you can tell that they are good people, with a good heart! They made us feel so welcome during our stay! A special thank you to Youseff for the chocolate cake when there was no other option that I liked on the menu. These 2 guys were deffo the best part of our stay at Fellah, so thank you for that. <3 - [ ] Apart from all that, the hotel is different, exotic, if you like to take pictures or whatever, maybe it is a good place to come and spend a few days, but for sure, it is not a place to come at this time of the year, which is not very warm, and spend more than 3 days. I would deffo stay somewhere else the next time closer to the city centre or at least in a decent neighbourhood. - [ ] One important thing is, when you leave, they will charge for the touristic fee that the city requires, this is not specified when you arrive and it cost you 26dh each person per day. So keep this in mind. Also, we had to leave early morning because our flight was 9 am, so we booked a taxi for 6 am (which arrived to pick us up at 6h20 am), there was no one at reception, after wandering around for a bit, my husband found the security guy who called to wake up someone to meet us at reception and check us out. So, what we recommend, make sure you pay your bill the day before you leave, as if we still had to do that, it would take a long time. - [ ] Also, if you hire a car, remember that you need to have plenty of limit on your credit car, as they take around £1200 deposit (I know everyone would know that, but we did not) and if you have American Express, good luck. - [ ] I would come back to Fellah to try the Oasis Festival maybe one day, but we have no hurry for that.

We arrived to morroco on the 17/11. We tried to do as much research as possible regarding the costs of our trip but upon arrival to morroco it seems as though our efforts were wasted. To get from manera airport to our hotel that was meant to be nearby it costs €40 euro. But what surprised us was upon looking for a taxi, which we were doing perfectly ourselves,we were approached by a man who escorted to the taxi bay which we were going to ourselves anyway, even though we didn’t need his help. After pointing us to a taxi of his choice he then began asking for a tip. Now ladies and gentle man, the walk from the airport doors to where this man approached us was about 10 seconds. Then the walk from there to the taxi bay was about another 30 seconds. (It was right in front of us!! Literally!!) and when we got into the taxi he demanded a tip. And you read that right. Yes, DEMANDED. not requested and refuse to leave the taxi until we have him the spare pound coins we had leftover about £2.50. He looked at the money as if we gave him dirt and the taxi driver clarified that he wanted notes! Now why on earth would we shell out our own money and tip someone that didn’t do nothing for us at all. Literally nothing! This is when we realised that our trip might incur very unnecessary costs. To the hotel now. Before you book and if you read this first the hotel I quite a way out of Marrakech it’s not around the corner or a walk down the round it’s infact a €40 taxi journey into town Marrakech and then another €40 to get back. My advice if you’re travelling and able to drive it is better to rent a car depending on the duration of your stay and how many places you want to visit. It is €35 to rent a car for the day from the hotel. Cheaper than a taxi and it gives you more freedom to do more with your day. When we got to reception because we missed breakfast due to our journey the man at reception told us to put our bags in our room and come back to the restaurant to get our lunch in replacement. Now we didn’t ask for this it was offered to us. But it didn’t come as a shock to us that when we arrived to the restaurant they refused this and we had to pay for our food anyway. With our holiday booking from loveholidays we had a half board with our stay so we assumed the reception was being generous to us. Nope. Not at all. This hotel doesn’t run as one body but instead separate departments as you will see. ALSO IMPORTANTLY with our dinner on the half board basis there are no drinks that are included whatsoever. NOT EVEN WATER. That is right people. If you want anything to quench your thirst with the food you paid for on the board basis you paid for then you’re gonna have to pay for it again for every night you want a drink. Another thing for international traveller don’t be silly like we were expecting the hotel to have adapters lmao like we are that important. Bring your own. Save the hassle and bring your own. We came to the hotel unknowingly without any adapters and were quickly told that the only place that might sell then and the key word here is “might”, is Marrakech which was a €40 trip back in the direction we had just came from. How great is that. Last point for the update on day 2 is that the pictures advertised for the double bedrooms. Don’t count on it at all. Just don’t get your hopes up because it surely isn’t gonna be that. I assume that those are the quality of the superior rooms or something. We also had to change rooms due to the foul smell coming out of the air condition and the engineer who came to fix it told us the air conditioner is no good and that reception would need to change our rooms. Now had our room been prepared properly this problem would’ve been addressed right away along with the dirty carpets and floors but hey ho it’s not everywhere your going to get clean rooms that you’ve paid for right. This our second day now here at the hotel. I will leave another review in a couple days to give you all an update
