It was the most wonderful experience to stay in this oasis and enjoy the kindness of all the people working at the riad which went far beyond what you'd expect in terms of service. I recommend it to everyone and wish to come back myself one day. Thank you so much!

Pros: Very close to main square Breakfast was good Staff was nice Cons: Hard to find and hard to navigate the streets in the medina One room didn't have hot water while we were there We didn't like being on the first floor off the lobby with less privacy We were on the border between a 3 and a 4... We took this Riad in it's entirety along with the nearby R'eves D'Orient (run by the same family) for a conference for a group of young social entrepreneurs coming from all over Nth Africa and Europe. It was simply the PERFECT location for us. Staff are super friendly - including preparing a huge tagine at a strange hour for our... More

We stayed at this Samira Riad during our recent trip to Morocco. Rooms were clean and air conditioned.Breakfast was excellent. Staff was extremely helpful and friendly. They arranged a birthday celebration for another tourist. We were invited as well. We had a problem with our bathroom. We were promptly moved to another suite. Best thing about this riad was its... Stayed here back in March 2014 and had a wonderful experience! It's like living with a family who go out of their way to cater for all the little things that make the difference in having a good stay to a great stay. Very close to the Medina but far away from the hustle and bustle. Thanks a lot for... More

We had a few days in Marrakech and we stayed in the Riad Reves D'orient (which belongs to the same people) and after staying in Essaouria for three nights we decided to stay in the Princesse du desert because we'd liked the reves d'orient so much. I never write reviews but because our stay here was so brilliant I felt... More

We just stayed at this Riad and had a great experience. the rooms are fanstastic, the breakfast delicious and the staff extremely friendly and helpful or show you even how to prepare the moroccan tea, show you the way to the square, organize a private couple hammam. the location is just in walking distance to the top sights and after... This hotel was unlike any I have ever stayed in. I was only able to spend two days in Marrakech, but the staff at this Riad made it an absolutely amazing experience. ‎Youssef, Simo, Abdul, and others were extremely attentive and treated us like family. We cooked in the kitchen, ate breakfast on the beautiful rooftop, and had help walking... More

We have recently spent a few nights in this lovely Riad . It is very well positioned near the main square but it would be impossible to find without being escorted there on first arrival to the city . It is a small family run business and the staff make every effort to make your stay special . It was... More

Staying at Princesse du Desert was a wonderful experience! We arrived late in the evening and were greeted with a very warm welcome and served mint tea and Moroccan pastries. We felt as if we had stepped into something from the Arabian Nights-the riad was beautiful, better than we had expected. If you want to experience real Moroccan life then... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Riad Princesse du Desert Nothing is too good for her. Equidistant from the " Jemaa El Fna " and " Door Dar El Bacha " , the location of Riad Princesse du Desert is exceptional especially since it offers beautiful calm and tranquility. Nestled in the Medina, the small alley that leads to the riad is a wonder with warm colors that contrast with the blue sky and vegetation that is rare in the Medina which can give the feeling of a Provence in Marrakech. Additionally beautiful decoration, attention to detail , arches , columns and moucharabiehs , lace white stucco ceilings, zellij ( tiled ) walls and featuring an alchemy of colors and smells with refined bath products (jasmine and amber ) make this a wonderful place to be . Additionally, not forgetting comfort alongside the beauty, each of the 6 rooms feature air conditioning, soft bedding and luxury linens. Breakfast is included in the price and we offer complimentary Moroccan mint tea and coffee with homemade cookies at all times. ... more   less
