Stayed here back in March 2014 and had a wonderful experience! It's like living with a family who go out of their way to cater for all the little things that make the difference in having a good stay to a great stay. Very close to the Medina but far away from the hustle and bustle. Thanks a lot for... More

We had a few days in Marrakech and we stayed in the Riad Reves D'orient (which belongs to the same people) and after staying in Essaouria for three nights we decided to stay in the Princesse du desert because we'd liked the reves d'orient so much. I never write reviews but because our stay here was so brilliant I felt... More

We just stayed at this Riad and had a great experience. the rooms are fanstastic, the breakfast delicious and the staff extremely friendly and helpful or show you even how to prepare the moroccan tea, show you the way to the square, organize a private couple hammam. the location is just in walking distance to the top sights and after... This hotel was unlike any I have ever stayed in. I was only able to spend two days in Marrakech, but the staff at this Riad made it an absolutely amazing experience. ‎Youssef, Simo, Abdul, and others were extremely attentive and treated us like family. We cooked in the kitchen, ate breakfast on the beautiful rooftop, and had help walking... More

We have recently spent a few nights in this lovely Riad . It is very well positioned near the main square but it would be impossible to find without being escorted there on first arrival to the city . It is a small family run business and the staff make every effort to make your stay special . It was... More

Staying at Princesse du Desert was a wonderful experience! We arrived late in the evening and were greeted with a very warm welcome and served mint tea and Moroccan pastries. We felt as if we had stepped into something from the Arabian Nights-the riad was beautiful, better than we had expected. If you want to experience real Moroccan life then... More

My better half and me arrived late in the night to Marrakesh, sleepy, tired and wondering a bit what our holiday would be like. As prearranged via e-mail with the proprietor, a car was waiting at the airport to take us to the riad. Lovely driver welcomed us and helped us with our luggage and drove us until a square... More

I stayed at this wonderful riad in January 2014 and loved everything about it. It’s in a fantastic location right in the middle of the Marrakech medina, close to the souks and Jemaa El Fna – and yet, the riad itself is peaceful and quiet, as it is located down a winding passageway out of the hustle and bustle. It's... More

From the welcome mint tea, to the delicious dinner and breakfast, from the pleasant staff to the comfortable rooms, I wish I could stay longer. The manager Youssef is a delight, very accommodating, and taught me to play arabic checkers (dama). The house tagine is amazing, and even organised a birthday party for me (40 years young). The roof terrace... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Riad Princesse du Desert Nothing is too good for her. Equidistant from the " Jemaa El Fna " and " Door Dar El Bacha " , the location of Riad Princesse du Desert is exceptional especially since it offers beautiful calm and tranquility. Nestled in the Medina, the small alley that leads to the riad is a wonder with warm colors that contrast with the blue sky and vegetation that is rare in the Medina which can give the feeling of a Provence in Marrakech. Additionally beautiful decoration, attention to detail , arches , columns and moucharabiehs , lace white stucco ceilings, zellij ( tiled ) walls and featuring an alchemy of colors and smells with refined bath products (jasmine and amber ) make this a wonderful place to be . Additionally, not forgetting comfort alongside the beauty, each of the 6 rooms feature air conditioning, soft bedding and luxury linens. Breakfast is included in the price and we offer complimentary Moroccan mint tea and coffee with homemade cookies at all times. ... more   less
