I'm not sure where to begin with this place! As soon as we arrived (around 10pm), we were served mint tea with traditional biscuits, whilst our luggage was taken to our rooms. We arrived late so were really tired, the manager was the perfect balance of informative but not overwhelming with information. He gave us our keys, asked us what... More

it was a very calm period, so they changed us to another riad, where we would stay with other guests. (the riad is part of Samira riads, which consists of 3 other riads.) however the first night we were still the only guests. we were treated very well by the manager. (Tijani) he went out of his way to make... More

Marrakesh can be an overwhelming city filled with people hassling you at every turn in a souk. We came in the summer and the heat made it more unbearable to tolerate them. This small (just 6 rooms), but beautiful and comfortable riad is centrally located amidst the maze that is the medina. It's run by a friendly, charming, informative, and... More

Beautiful Riad, made even better by its friendly staff. They entertained us with a drumming performance on the first evening and joined us for socialising on the roof terrace, which was absolutely fantastic. They also made a great effort to remember my name! Food and room was also amazing. Highly recommended.

I had a very pleasant experience. Nice people and nice food. The crew is very helpful with tips for a great Martakesh experience. You'll also drink free mint tea all day long! The terasse is quite beautiful. Even though quite hard to find in the old medina streets.

This Riad proved to be the perfect place from which to visit Marrakech as its located in a great part of the Medina. In terms of comfort, we found our stay irreproachable. The Riad very much gives a "home" atmosphere, as opposed to the impersonal feel of a big hotel. The rooms were beautifully decorated, with a comfortable bed and... More

Riad Princesse du Desert is situated in the Medina of Marrakesh. We can reach the Square in 10 minutes by walking. The Riad offers a cozy and warm family like environment. Tajini, the manager of the riad, is very helpful and give assistance whenever we needed. I shall certainly recommend this riad to people wishing to find lodging in Marrakesh.

I could not recommend Riad Princesse du Desert and in general Samira Riads (a small group of riads) highly enough. They went out of their way to make us feel at home and did everything they could to help us out; way beyond what I would expect from a good hotel. We'd been staying at another Samira Riad (Riad Reves... More

It was the perfect choice for Marakes. We never stay in this kind of guest house. We where impressed by the architecture and the decorations. Beautiful, very clean amd the staff amazing. As we arrived they wellcome us with tea and cookies and they present us the history of the riads and Marakes. The breakfast is delicious and various. It... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Riad Princesse du Desert Nothing is too good for her. Equidistant from the " Jemaa El Fna " and " Door Dar El Bacha " , the location of Riad Princesse du Desert is exceptional especially since it offers beautiful calm and tranquility. Nestled in the Medina, the small alley that leads to the riad is a wonder with warm colors that contrast with the blue sky and vegetation that is rare in the Medina which can give the feeling of a Provence in Marrakech. Additionally beautiful decoration, attention to detail , arches , columns and moucharabiehs , lace white stucco ceilings, zellij ( tiled ) walls and featuring an alchemy of colors and smells with refined bath products (jasmine and amber ) make this a wonderful place to be . Additionally, not forgetting comfort alongside the beauty, each of the 6 rooms feature air conditioning, soft bedding and luxury linens. Breakfast is included in the price and we offer complimentary Moroccan mint tea and coffee with homemade cookies at all times. ... more   less
