Great idea to be picked up at airport, 4x4 waiting for us. Not having visited Marrakech before , wasn't sure what to expect. Very personal, charming, friendly experience, so glade we didn't stay in an impersonal large, luxury hotel. This felt like the best bits of staying in a friends house, but had freedom and independence. There are no TVs... More

Having taken the bus from the airport into Marrakech we then walked from the main square (Jaama El Fna) to the Riad. This being our first visit to Marrakech, the walk was a complete assault on all our senses. The medina is a chaoctic crazy place with vendors in every other store "enthusiastically" trying to coax you in as well... More

My daughter and I stayed here for 3 nights, Transport was arranged to pick us up at the airport and from the moment we arrived at the riad we felt very much at home, Indeed Didier the owner welcomed us to his home and all staff were so helpful in every way. The riad is very atmospheric with comfortable accommodation... More

Excellent hotel with the gentlemen that run/own the hotel being an absolute godsend. Nothing is ever a problem and you can ask them anything and they will have the answer The hotel is an oasis within the hustle & bustle of the Medina and is very traditional. It also has a lovely area on the roof to sit in the... More

Stayed here for 3 nights in October. What a lovely place! Couldn't fault it! However the approach to it is slightly off putting - down a dingy alley way sometimes inhabited by people who may sleep there. Our room was beautifully furnished in Moroccan style. The breakfasts were especially good with different homemade pastries/pancakes and we also had two evening... More

It is hard to describe this riad, in a way that in full will do it justice. But if you decide to go to Marrakech, this is the place to stay. A home away from home, that i cant wait to get back to. The staff is not only helpfull, but caring about your wellbeing. The food is way above... More

The Riad Rafaele was a great find. The staff is very friendly, the rooms are great, and the food is great too. Riad Rafaele is a quaint find off the streets of crazy Marrakech. As some of the other reviewers mentioned, the Riad is at the end of a very dimly lit - mildly intimidating - alley. But the only... More

I feel I should reach for 'The Copy Writers' Book of Superlatives' (if one should exist!) before embarking on this review. Cosseted, cared for, charmed, cultured, calming..... those are only the 'c's. Other reviewers have detailed many of excellent features, both human and physical, of this Riad, and I can endorse these without reservation: visit yourself and experience the magic... More

It seems as if every great riad in Morocco is set at the end of a dimly lit passage that one hesitates to enter unless guided there, and yet wonderful hosts await your arrival. The door to Riad Rafaele opens to a courtyard filled with bird song and orange trees, from which Didi and his friendly staff had just proudly... More
