This Riad is by far the best riad that I have ever been to. Only a short walk to the Jamaa El Fna place and you will walk pass the great Marrakech Souks on the way there. The hosts are super friendly and helpful. They go above and beyond to help us get to the attractions that we want to... More

The Riad was very beautiful and relaxing. The owners do everything to make your stay special. They met us at our taxi and directed us to the Riad. They also walked with us to the Ben Youssef Medersa to make sure we would not get lost. We had dinner and breakfast and all the meals were great with plenty of... More

We spent the last three nights of our trip here. We had a great experience. It's a beautiful place, richly decorated with a rooftop terrace/garden. Breakfast was served every morning on the terrace, with tea, a bowl of fruit and home-made pastries with jam. The staff and the owners were especially friendly and attentive, and made us feel very comfortable.... More

It was an absolute pleasure staying at Dar Oulhoum. Bruno and Guy don't just provide you with a place to stay but also with overwhelming hospitality. The place is beautifully done up and you feel at home instantly. There was absolutely nothing wrong with our stay here, it was perfect. If I ever go back, I'd definitely choose Dar Oulhoum... More

Tucked away in a corner of the medina so you fell like you're in the middle of it all, but still extremely quiet and tranquil. Breakfast on the rooftop terrace is wonderful. Rooms are tasteful and full of character. The owners and staff could not have been more helpful. Highly recommended.

We chose this riad because of the overwhelmingly positive reviews on Trip Advisor, and were not disappointed in any way. We are seasoned travellers on all continents over many years, and this experience was truly outstanding. Bruno and Guy are knowledgeable, informative and friendly, the service was impeccable, and the riad superb. Breakfast on the terrace each morning set us... More

Riad Dar Oulhoum was a wonderful experience. Bruno & Guy are totally welcoming without being intrusive. They have outfitted every room and wall with interesting and beautiful artifacts worthy of a museum tour. Breakfast is delicious too. The Dar Oulhoum location is difficult to find but worth it.

Everything about our stay was perfect - our host was wonderful and gave great guidance the first day by showing us around the neighborhood so we felt acquainted with the area and did not get lost (as often!) on our own. He recommended some fabulous restaurants, and Dar Oulhoum was so nicely decorated and spotlessly clean. One highlight were our... More

Dar Oulhoum tells me a story ... The mid-nineteenth century, under the reign of Sultan Hassan 1st (born Hassan ben Mohammed in 1836 in Fez and died on 7 June 1894 in Tadla), a vizier (high-ranking official, with an adviser or minister from Muslim leaders), chooses a prime location to build this beautiful Riad, near the mausoleum of Sidi Ben Slimane (one of the seven saints of Marrakech latter being the founder of Sufism in Morocco), a sign of power. The proximity of the holy mausoleum, gave him a high respect. In the late nineteenth century, before the French protectorate, this place was that of a Spanish bank and a British legation. During the restoration of the Riad, existing telephone line upon arrival in 2000 of the weapons found at the bottom of the well and an enamelled plaque written in Arabic and Spanish testament to the power of the family that gave its name to the Derb.
