We took 3 rooms for 3 nights at this place. It was average. Brekasfast was nearly all sweet food which we didn't enjoy too much. The one thing that we were unhappy about was the bill. Agoda told us the price we should pay and that the Riads home currency was in Euro. The hotel however showed their oacknowledgement on thier mobile phone which was $15 more. Not an issue worth arguing over. But then said that thier Card machine operates in local currency . So they converted at thier rate ( slightly higher then banks) and and added 5% ( invoice stated 4%) to apy by card, Total paid was 15% more than if I handed Euro notes and stuck to my acknowledgement. If you do stay here , pay in cash and pay in Euros.
This Riad is a gem of a find. Located in the Mellah neighborhood of of the Marrakech Médina, the rooms are charming and welcoming. Mostly, the staff, Zak and Hamza, are the most gracious and helpful we have ever had anywhere. They will help you with any and all questions and arrangements. Breakfast is lovely, coffee is 5- star. Can not recommend it enough.
The riad is the perfect place to stay when visiting Marrakesh; clean, spacious and inviting - it's the perfect place to retreat back to after the madness of the Medina. Breakfast is freshly baked and always served with a friendly smile. The roof terrace is a lovely spot to sit and read/unwind and watch the sunset. Local tips and directions always on offer - personable service throughout the whole stay. I would highly recommend!
Me and my girlfriend stayed here for a week. The riad is beautiful. The services from Hamsa, Zach and the kitchen ladies were very appreciated. We had everything we wanted from them and the riad. There was an odd smell from the drains in the bathroom at times but it wasn't a problem. We enjoyed our stay there and would recommend it!
At arrival they had overbooked the Riad so we had to stay at another the first night. We got a bottle of champagne so that was okay. The Riad is very bright and that was nice. But many things are lacking. Many of the cushions in the common area and in the room was dirty. A big tray of oranges in the common area was bad and flies was around them for days. The room was very simple and was worn and was not so clean. At our room you could almost not close the door when you used the toilet. In the shower you had to take the metal part of the drain up to get the water out. When the hairdryer was used is smelled like burns plastic and the last day we saw that there was a red glowing wire behind an outlet. Nice Riad but it needs an update and a bit bigger effort in running it.
This was the first place I stayed in Morocco. It wasn't supposed to be 5-star... but I was a little shocked at what it was. I guess it just has a "rustic" kind of aesthetic that really doesn't appeal to me. Mind you, most of Morocco seems to have that same aesthetic - nothing ever lines up millimetre perfect, the tiles always look a hundred years old even when new - it's all a reflection of the materials they have and the workmanship standards. Friendly, safe, reasonably comfortable... the only "real" complaint I had was that the shower didn't drain very well, and you were ankle deep in water by the end.
Beautiful riad very close to everything in Marrakech. Shout-out to Hamza who made our stay perfect! Rooftop has an incredible view over the city and Atlas mountains. Food is delicious and shisha is also possible in the riad. Also very quiet area, in short: an amazing place to stay in Marrakech.
A beautiful Riad that is close to the souk. Our suite was beautifully appointed, the meals we had there were delicious and the staff were all friendly and very helpful. It was an easy walk to the Jewish quarter and the mosque and the bustling square I would recommend this Riad for a memorable stay.
The riad is located very centrally in the medina of Marrakesh near the Bahia Palace. It spreads a very comfy atmosphere in which you can relax from the busy streets of Marrakesh. The young staff is very obliging and friendly! Thank you Dar Crystal Team for having us!
The crew of the hotel were extremely helpful and kind. The rooms are spacious and beautiful, thoroughly clean and the hotel is conveniently located close to the main tourist sites of the Medina. This is a great place to stay while in Marrakesh.
