This riad was a nice place to visit when you want to be in the middle of everything. Compared to the original one we chose (riad ayni) this one was a Hilton. Nice atmosphere, okay breakfast, nice rooms and a pool.

We stayed for two nights. The electric power broke down twice and toilet did not always flush well. The breakfast offerings were basic for a place that charges 100 euros per night (no fresh quizzed orange juice in a town with abundance of oranges). The hotel will charge you 33 euros for washing 10 items of laundry.

My friends and I were booked here by our tour company for the first two and final night of our nearly two weeks in Morocco, March 2022. It's definitely one of the most accomodating and spacious places the three of us stayed. Upon arrival, our bags were taken to our room, we were given an ornate key, and we were treated to mint tea on the roof. Every time we left for our daily activities, we would come back to towel sculptures, bottled water, and rose petals. They were a tad annoying to remove, but that's Moroccan luxury. We each had a firm bed with plenty of pillows and charging ports, and the shower provided strong hot water. The light switches took a little trial and error to figure out. You could hear birds in the atrium each morning outside our door, which was nice. Breakfast was provided on the roof in an insulated cafe area. We never used the spa services or pool, but they looked good. The riad is in walking distance to good restaurants and Jemaa el Fnaa Square, less than 20 minutes.

I wanted to stay at a traditional hotel in the Medina. This was not what I had in mind. The architecture is lovely--tiled floor, tiled walls, tiled stairs. Charm ends there. All rooms face an inner courtyard with no exterior windows. That would be fine except that I was below ground and the courtyard was only partially open to the sky. I had one tiny window. The room was very small; that wouldn't have been a problem except that there was no air circulation. There was a mini-split but it was difficult to control it. The remote kept falling apart each time I picked it up. Service at the desk was minimal. While I wish I spoke Arabic or French, I don't so would have appreciated someone at the desk who could communicate a little in English on all shifts. Help at the desk ranged from great to none. Finally the restaurant is on the roof. It's a lot of flights up so if you are mobility-compromised, you're out of luck. I am not but it was still a schlepp up there for (included) breakfast. Breakfast buffet was pretty bad. Coffee sitting in a large urn for hours is terrible.

Really pretty in parts of the hotel. Staff are pleasant and attentive. There are no lifts so make sure to tip the staff as there are multiple levels in this place. It was reasonably quiet most of the time despite having a lot of guests. The hotel was clean. Rooms were a generous size. Toilets worked effectively. With 3 mosques around the area expect to be woken by the prayers. The breakfast is rather generic (as we previously stayed at Riad BB Marrakech where the food was authentic and freshly prepared). So expect fried eggs, cheese ,fruit ,cereals and bread for breakfast. Juice will be partly concentrates or attempts at fresh juices. Evening tagines were generally all protein and no vegetables. We ate out at ViaVia nearby to ensure a more authentic Moroccan diet-hummous, tagines, freshly squeezed juices and tagines with protein and vegetables. Outside the Riad Bahia Salam the footpaths were just being constructed. You are within walking distance of the Medina. Watch yourself and your belongings if venturing into crowded areas. Unfortunately you do attract attentions which can be annoying and difficult to shake off. Do not contemplate driving in Marrakech. Accidents are frequent and lane control non existent. There are a lot of police around but the traffic flow is confused and frankly dangerous. Weekends are especially dire. Although there are crossings ,take your life into your own hands trying to cross a road safely. Best policy is to watch one of the locals and run across the roads with one of them. No one stops for others at the crossings. Make sure you take dirhams from the airport with you as Euros are not as widely welcomed as you think. Be very careful to get the correct change. At the airport the assistants will protest that they have no change to give you. wen you are making purchases. The wages are low in the country so tourists do have to keep their wits about them to avoid being short changed. Do tip when your experience is good. Areas outside of Marrakech are much more pleasant and relaxing-Anima was refreshing after being shuffled around Le Jardin Majorelle with hundreds of others. The Water Museum was interesting. Dirhams are required for museum entry. If you can , hire a driver from Morocco Explorer as they understand English well, can teach you Arabic and Amazigh. Look up a few of the etiquette hints before you go-waving people over could be considered rude, eating with left hand unhygienic etc

When I arrived, i was greeted by Anouan. He took me upstairs to the rooftop. By a tea he explained me all the interesting places to see in Marrakech!, told me where i could get data for my SIM Card, where the ATM is and later gave me a list of restaurant recommendations! Bahia Salam is super central located, everything is within walking distance. From outside you wouldn't expect such a great place. We stood at the Marrakech Suite which is very big and tastefully decorated. The Hammam treatment for the two of us with massage (booked in advance) was just great! The food (breakfast and lunch we had) is excellent and we could always enjoy our own wine when we came back from dinner. The place for breakfast is, in our opinion, not so nice but if the weather is good, you can sit outside!

Great location. Nice plate of fruit, dates, and nuts left in the room as a welcome package. The place is clean and quiet. The room was on the smaller side, but still comfortable for me as a solo traveler. It would have been a difficult space for two. Great AC which was needed in the summer with daily temperatures exceeding 100 F. I was disappointed with breakfast. The hot items were kept in covered pans over heating elements, and they all ended up overcooked

Room clean and bed comfy, but a bit dark as the only window goes out onto the corridor/walkway so it's difficult to keep the curtains open. Bathroom great, but shower curtain too short so the bathroom floor keeps getting flooded. Lots of storage space and a safe (but it was locked and inaccessible). Delicious breakfast served in a great space on the rooftop, near a nice pool and bar. Great location and complete silence when in the room despite the hussle and bustle outside.

Comfortable, good size rooms. I was travelling alone and plenty of space for two there. 4 floors. I was in the basement, which is better than it sounds, which due to the way the Riads are constructed, was nice and cool. AC didn't work, but opened my window to the central courtyard and lovely and cool. Great breakfast, cute swimming pool, central to the medina. Definitely stay here again.
