Fantastic riad. Have stayed in a couple of places in Marrakech but this is by far the best - great location, wonderful staff, tasty breakfast. Excellent staff: perfect service - arrived late and were walked to a nearby restaurant and back so we wouldnt get lost. Next morning walked to the main square so we would know our way. And... More

My girlfriend an I stayed in Dar Nour El-Houda for 3 nights, and had no problems at all. If you want to stay inside of the medina, this place has everything you need! We were picked up at the airport, driven to Place de Moukef, and from there guided of a trolley man to our riad just 5 min away... More

We enjoyed our stay in this riad very much, especially thanks to the lovely host nouredinne who made us feel very welcomed and gave the best tips on restaurants and sights to see! This guy is a perfectionist who makes sure you're happy every moment of the day, that you don't get lost in the medina maze, that you don't... More

I had a great time staying at Dar Nour El-Houda.The building itself is beautiful. We were in the Sirr room, which looks like it was hollowed out of solid stone (though I think it is polished plaster). Very cool and peaceful and relaxing, and definitely one of the most beautiful and tasteful rooms I have stayed in. It somehow felt... More

I've travelled for 2 weeks in Morocco. Comparing to other hotels, Dar Nour El Houda is the best one. The only one the price meets the value. The location: The hotel is not very far from Jamee el-Fnaa, not very close, which is good. It was quiet at night. I was given a special map made by the hotel, by... More

I travelled with a friend of mine and our stay was made excellent thanks to Dar Nour El Houda. The staff were super helpful and friendly (made us breakfast at 5am before our flight!!) and it was Moroccan hospitality at its finest. The place was very clean, extremely well located, and just stunning. Highly recommended!

This was the first place we stayed in during our Morocco trip and it couldn't have been better! There was a slight mix up with the airport pick up where we had to wait 30min but other than that everything was just fantastic. We stayed in the terrace room which actually feels bigger than in the photos. The bathroom is... More

The location of the riad is excellent, being in the older, more attractive and quieter part of the medina as opposed to many other riads. It is very convenient for the souks and the main square. The room I stayed in was excellent. It was comfortable, carefully prepared and spotlessly clean. The interior of the riad is also attractively decorated,... More

I stayed Dar Nour El Houda for three nights. My plan was staying only one night. But I couldn't leave after one night because the spaces in the hotel are so beautiful and the service made me and my wife so happy. The staffs served delicious breakfast every morning, and they are so friendly. This hotel is full of interesting... More

Marrakech is a hectic place, so then you need a quiet place to rest or hide. Dar Nour El Houda was exactly this for us. It also combined the charms of a typical riyad with more modern design, all of this in a tasteful manner. And to top it off: Nouredinne was the perfect host. He really went out of... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Dar Nour El Houda is a chic and unique boutique Riad in the heart of the Madina of Marrakech. It is the former home of French contemporary artist Patrick Carpentier and is now owned by a group of British friends who fell in love with the place. The Riad is interior decorated to a high standard in cream and white. It enjoys an open courtyard with a large Olive tree and a plunge pool as well as a terrace with views to the Katoubia and the Atlas Mountains. Each of the four en-suite bedrooms have their own unique character and the entire property is decorated with Patrick's beautiful artworks. The Riad is located in the centre of the Madina, close to star attractions such as Ben Youssef Mosque and Madresa (5 mins walk), the Marrakech Museum (5 mins walk) and the Photography Museum (4 mins walk). Jemaa-El-Fna is an approximate 12-15 minute walk away and a map is provided to guide you. Taxis from the airport stop at Place Moukef (Kaat Benahid), a 4 minute walk away. Famous restaurants such as Le Fondouk, Dar Tazi and Restaurant Naima are all approximately 5 minutes walk away, but in our opinion the best meal is served within Dar Nour El Houda itself with a fantastic 3-course meal cooked by one of your hosts, Asia. Together with our Manager, Noureddine, you will be treated to attentive service where every guest is looked after with the utmost care. ... more   less
