Excellent few days here. Really made our trip to Morocco special. The rooms are spotless, the staff were so friendly and tentative. We had Breakfast outside the room every morning and they set up a dinner table one evening in the gardens. We would definitely return here.

We just spent 5 nights here and it was total bliss . Our room was beautifully appointed and very private. The pool and gardens are just stunning. It was wonderful to be able to take our breakfast outside our room and our dinner under the trees at night. The hotel is small enough that the staff are able to provide a truly personal service, and all of them without exception were friendly, welcoming and attentive. The call to prayer from mosques around was quite present at various points but this added to the atmosphere. I really hope to be back!

The hotel is lovely, finished to a high standard with 10 individual cottages scattered around the grounds. The pool is excellent and the perfect place to relax. We loved being able to select where we had breakfast, lunch and dinner - be it outside out cottage or in the gardens, or in the dining room. The staff all knew who we were and there was definitely an intimate nature given how few guests there were. However….there were two negatives with our stay. Firstly, the food is not fantastic. Compared to everywhere else in Morocco we stayed and ate this was at the bottom of the pile I am afraid, which is particularly surprising given the who the owner is. There is a very small menu which is the same everyday, and for lunch you essentially just have an option of a club sandwich or burger. The food was bland and unseasoned and not very inspiring. Secondly, there is a noise issue coming from a nearby hotel which was blaring out awful music and DJ sets (think the Macarena etc) all evening until gone midnight. This really ruined the tranquillity of enjoying your dinner outside in the gardens, and could be heard lightly whilst lying in bed (we put on a podcast to go to sleep). I don’t know if this is a new thing or a one off but it happened our whole stay and was a real shame.

The hotel is a lovely oasis away from the hustle and bustle of the centre of town but still an easy trip if you wish to dip into the souks and medina. There are only 10 rooms there so always tranquil. Pool and garden lovely. But the staff are what makes this place. I was at the hotel alone as my friends were staying in Marrakech. Majeed made my stay there very special. Super kind and thoughtful. Even ringing me to find out where I was and arranging a brilliant driver for me (Ebraheem is lovely) to pick me up from my friends hotel. Just such a thoughtful thing to do.

2nd visit and still as lovely as ever. This fantastic hotel is about 10k from Marrakesh tucked away in the desert in a walled garden. With only 10 ‘rooms’ you basically will never have more than about 20 people staying and that’s if it’s completely full. Quiet, relaxed, peaceful and friendly. The 10 ‘huts’ are arranged around the swimming pool and you never feel crowded. The restaurant has a limited but varied menu and we either ate in the garden outside, by our room or as was suggested by the staff at a private table by the pool on our last night. Breakfast ever day we asked for it outside our room 😁. The rooms are lovely, the pool is lovely, the staff are lovely and you are only 20mins from Marrakesh if you want a trip or fancy dinner out. Highly recommend if you want absolute peace and quiet.

This hotel is beautiful and perfect for couples that are looking for a romantic break. The breakfast is a selection of fresh pastries fruits and yoghurts and is delicious. The tea and coffee in the hotel is great and the Moroccan wines on the menu also delicious. The food at lunch/dinner is nice but there could be more variation. We ate out most evenings in the Medina because of this. The transfers into the Medina each evening were very handy and the drivers very helpful and friendly. The pool area is perfect. A couple of areas for improvement would be: Staff could be more attentive around the pool in the day time. We had to get up and dressed to go and find someone for water/food a few times. There were two sets of very noisy guests in the pool during our stay and staff could do more to encourage this to be the peaceful environment that it is supposed to be. Finally, the air conditioning is noisy in the room. Overall, we would highly recommend staying at this hotel.

My girlfriend and I stayed in a deluxe suite for three nights to complete our trip to Morocco. Hotel Cinq Djellebas offers luxury standards in service and food in an idyllic setting. Everything about the property was beautiful and we wish we could have stayed longer. It offers serenity, away from the bustling and sometimes overwhelming streets of Marrakech. A couple of niggles prevented a 5 star review: - Location. Whilst once you are there, you feel that you are in paradise, away from the hustle and bustle, actually getting to the property is tricky with many of our taxi drivers struggling to find it. Located on a dirt road without any signs means that unless you can rely on GPS (taxi drivers rarely do in Marrakech), this property is quite difficult to reach, particularly at night. One evening the driver ended up asking us to walk the final 100m at night as he couldn't get his car down the road. - Pre-booked food. Understandably the hotel would like you to confirm in the day whether you will eat with them in the evening but having to pre-submit your menu options for breakfast and dinner was a bit difficult, particularly when out on day trips from early morning until dinner-time. We were able to send messages to the hotel to sort this but it felt like an unnecessary stress.

We stayed for 8 nights in room 5, one of the deluxe suites with a four poster bed and bath. The entire stay was so relaxing: nothing was too much for any of the staff who were eager to please and looked after us so well. The pool is large and there are enough beds for all the guests so there is no stress to have to get up early and put down your towel! Breakfast was perfect for us: fruit, natural yogurt, pastries, etc…which we enjoyed outside our room each morning, and lunch by the pool or under the olive trees in the shade (we had a heatwave 30+ degrees). We also ate dinner at the hotel on three evenings which was traditional food, and utterly delicious. As we were staying more than 4 nights we had a complimentary all round transfer each day. The hotel organised this with their car company and when we ate at a restaurant in the city this made it all stress free. Khalid, our driver, was incredible. He ensured we were walked into the medina to our restaurant and was there to pick us up. This was during Ramadan and it sums up the hospitality of the hotel that they invited Khalid to break the fast with them before driving us in. (The hotel is about a 20-30 minute drive from the city.) The weather was amazing so we enjoyed the pool and relaxed, read books, ate great food and drank a bit of wine and explored Marrakesh in the evening. If this is what you’re looking for, in an oasis just outside of the city, then this is for you - and do go for the deluxe suite. We absolutely loved it and will certainly return. We booked through Mr&Mrs Smith - the hotel advised us we’d get a better rate booking direct - also, rate for Marrakesh, they also take Amex.

My Mum and I stayed in a deluxe suite for 4 nights at the end of March 2022. It is really such a beautiful setting for a relaxing break. Our suite was large, comfortable, spotlessly clean and had everything we needed. The gardens are stunning and I really enjoyed eating breakfast outside, watching and listening to the birds. The pool area is lovely and there is a large pool house to relax in and enjoy a drink or some food. The staff are all so friendly and accommodating and the service is really impeccable. It made the stay even more special and very memorable- thank you :-)

It was like walking into a dream when we entered Cinq Djellabas. A haven of pure tranquility. The food, the ambience, the service! Isham & Mageed made our stay! The attention to detail both across the hotel and in the suites was stunning. We loved it and couldn’t really fault it in any way!!! Take me Back!!!!!
