Riad Chi-Chi is a small, chic riad in a great location. It is ideally situated in a quiet cul-de-sac in the centre of the Medina, close to the Musée de Marrakech and the Medersa Ben Youssef, only 1 minute from the entrance to the Souks and a short stroll through the Souks to the Square, Place Jemaa el Fna. It has 4 double bedrooms and 1 suite (max. occupancy 11), each with an en-suite bathroom. Its cool, simple and elegant lines create a calm and relaxing atmosphere. There are plenty of intimate sitting areas - roof terrace, courtyard with soothing fountain and Islamic pool, b’hou (Moroccan sitting area) and salon. Fabulous views over the Atlas Mountains from the roof terrace. In the evenings the riad is bathed in candlelight adding to the romantic feeling of this gorgeous riad. The relaxed and welcoming atmosphere means that staying at Riad Chi-Chi is more like visiting friends than staying in a hotel. The riad offers a whole range of services, such as being served mint tea with pastries on arrival, mineral water in your room on arrival, free internet access, use of a mobile phone during your stay. On top of that, the riad will be happy to arrange trips, recommend and organise restaurant bookings as well as beauty/massage treatments in the riad leaving you to relax and enjoy your stay in Marrakech.

There aren't high enough ratings for this kind of hospitality. From the pick-up at the airport, to the carrying of our suitcases through the Médina, to the morning breakfast, kindness and genuine care for the enjoyment of our time in Marrakesh, the hospitality at the Riad Chi Chi definitely made Marrakesh 1000x better. The first walk up to the Riad in the Médina is definitely flustering but trust the process (that's what I had to keep reminding my husband) but you'll be thankful for it's location as it generates peacefulness within the walls of noise and chaos. The view on the roof top patio is great but the real steal are the day beds you get to nestle into after a long day of walking. I did a lot of reading up here and trust me its as relaxing as the beach (you can’t hear the chaos of the markets) Rooms are clean and beds are comfortable, one thing I would remind any traveler who isn’t accustomed to traveling in such areas such as Marrakesh, is be conscious of the environment you are in. Luxury means different things to different people. We have high standards for cleanliness and service which both were incredible but this small Riad will not provide the luxuries of a Ritz or Sofitel. Extra Tip: Marrakesh's Médina is definitely a bustling environment and would recommend strongly avoiding carrying (real) luxurious items through your walks around the market. Be as discrete as possible and spread your cash around in your pockets. It will be a life saver when haggling with street vendors ;)

Nine years ago we had our first visit to Marrakesh and stayed here. It was a thrill to return and we were not disappointed by the warmth of our welcome or the comfort of the accommodation. Wandering the souk may not be for the faint-hearted but after four days we had mastered our environs and were very sad to leave.

We had a pleasant stay at the Hotel Riad Chi Chi. The only thing that maybe can be improved is the direction to get to the Riad...there is unfortunately no sign that indicates the Riad. The Riad itself was very charming and clean. The staff was very nice and kind, especially Saleh. The Breakfast was also good. In line with all the expectations. Strongly recommended.

We stayed at Chi-Chi for seven nights, which were very nice, if perhaps a couple of days too long for the local activities. English is spoken as well as French, some Italian and Spanish. Our bedroom was clean and tidy and the maid came in daily. The rooms are basic, but comfortable. No tea or coffee making facilities. There was a hair dryer in the bath room. No shaving socket, but power in the bath room. We ate an evening meal on one occasion, which was very nice. The breakfasts were ok too. The room was a little cold and we couldn't get the aircon to work in reverse. Other rooms had the same problem. Fortunately, in two cupboards in our room we found electric, oil filled radiators and used them every night to keep the bathroom warm. We actually gave them to guests in other rooms that had the same problem. Be prepared to be woken around 0600hrs by the call to prayers. It can go on for a while, but didn't detract from our stay, just our sleep! Unfortunately, smoking is allowed in Chi-Chi in the area downstairs where you eat. It is obviously condoned as ashtrays were supplied. Being non-smokers, this was not too much of an issue as during the week that we were there it was only for a couple of days. However, it is a potential problem for those that don't smoke. The staff are very nice and friendly. Saleh found a dentist for me and accompanied me there as I had a filling fall out the day before we arrived. Most people will have arranged airport transfers in advance. Those companies offer the same trips as those offered by the Riad, but many at a fraction of the cost. We used them for a camel ride. We didn't consider trips to the mountains etc as we didn't want to spend so much time on the road. We'd had that experience elsewhere and didn't wish to repeat it. We will visit Morocco again, but will spend time at those other locations. We used a local Hammam and had a nice relaxing wash and scrub and massage for the equivalent of €45 each. You can have a massage arranged in you room. We actually found things to be cheaper outside of The Medina. When you consider how low the average salary is (€235 per month) and most do not earn that, prices are fairly high in comparison. As soon as you can, buy some water or soft drinks in the Souk to give you small change for tips.

We loved our stay at Riad ChiChi. The staff was amazing. They even picked us up from the taxi point as cars can't come into the Medina. Breakfast was good with fresh juice, bread, coffee. Room was clean. The location is good and once you get to know the small streets, it's very easy to walk around.
