It was our second visit to Marrakech. I spotted the hotel on our last visit. Initially I loved to location. It is very close to the gardens and the medina and square. We were greeted by a lovely lady Issabetta I’m sorry about the spelling, she organised breakfast for us even though it had just finished. We had a very early start. Then the hotel were kind enough to have answered my request for an early check in. Soulemann showed us our junior suite and the hotel facilities. Generally the staff of the hotel were excellent. In the bar, at the pool and Fouquets restaurant staff were so friendly and helpful. It just adds to the enjoyment of your holiday when people around you are happy. I can’t not mention the hotel itself. The interiors have great style and glamour, everywhere you looked there was a lovely detail.…
The hotel is well located just outside of the medina and the facilities provide a welcome respite from the hustle and bustle outside the compound. The restaurants, both lunch and dinner were very good as was the buffet breakfast. The rooms were very spacious and comfortable with good amenities and a nice large balcony overlooking the pool area but still quiet. Service was always excellent except for the request to the front desk as noted below. We had 2 complaints about the hotel though. First was the way the shower/tub was built it is impossible to take a shower without flooding the entire bathroom. The shower head in the ceiling sent water building up along shelves along the sides of the tub and flowed directly onto the bathroom floor in a nice waterfall. We had to block it all up with towels. The second complaint is that the room was way too hot - 25C and the heating/cooling was not working. When we mentioned it to the front desk nothing was really done about. As much as it has a lot going for it I think I would look elsewhere because of the shower and heating/cooling issues for a future trip.…
Just back from a quick trip to Marrakech, stayed at the Naoura for 5 nights. Overall a really good hotel. 3 of us in a room - booked a junior suite with balcony (I think all rooms have a balcony!) and there was plenty of space for the extra bed. Room are well appointed and comfortable. Staff were very nice and helpful. We only ate breakfast and a few poolside lunches at the hotel, but all that was fresh and well well prepared. It’s a 10 minute walk to the Jemaa el F’na, do great location. I think the only negatives there’s not so much the hotel can do - Wi-fi was pretty spotty, and there was a large group of people staying at the Riads that were quite noisy. Also, guests go to claim their pool loungechairs at 730 in the morning, which is a bizarre practise and should be banned. Makes you feel like you’re on a package holiday in Magaluf. There are 18 rooms on each floor, and rooms X01 to X09 get sun on the balcony, and rooms X10 - X18 do not. So, in the heat of summer a high room number is better so you can get shade, lower room number in winter when you want the sun. …
The hotel is nice, in a good location Walking distance to most amusement. Scent in the hotel was really nice and room was clean. Spa was nice too. Didn't use the gym but it looked ok. Overall nice family hotel..
I have been to a few so called 5 star hotels that are not. This is. Warm welcome. Great venue, good facilities and so clean. Junior suite upgrade was worth it. Nespresso machine in room was a nice touch. So close to all of the sites. Loved everything about the hotel and marrakesh.
