We had the Petite Patio suite and were quite pleased with it. We're both architects and appreciated the care taken to maintain the character of the riad when it was renovated. Well designed modern detailing graces the rooms, however the strong bones of the original structure are still nicely apparent.

I booked this riad in a rush on the same day while on the road to Marrakech for only one night so I did not do a lot of research on it before I booked it. The riad is a long walk from the main square - about 20 Minutes- in a residential Moroccan area with few tourists. I visited...

The entire booking Baptiste was super nice and we knew we would arrive late so we asked to have a late dinner at the riad and it was absolutely amazing! The riad is stunning and when you're super tired, arriving there with this perfect dinner and such a nice host (Mohamed) it was like arriving home. Our room was great,...

We had the worst experience in our Marrakech arrival after 2 weeks trip in Morocco. Basically we arrived to our Riad called Lhena and they just moved us to another Riad we never booked for the first night because they were overbooked. Of course, we refused to stay to the other Riad (although the manager was kind) and after several...

The best thing about Riad 44 is the people running it! From Muhammad, Momo, Amal, Hannan and the rest of the team, they made our stay unforgettable. They were especially lovely to my 3.5 year old daughter, playing with her and always being kind. The Riad is beautiful (don't be fooled by the building's exterior), breakfast was wonderful, the size...

This is second time we've stayed at Zaouia 44, both times in the petite patio suite. The Riad internally looks exactly like the photographs, stylishly fitted out. You access the Riad from a small unassuming door on the winding Medina streets. If you are returning here on foot many locals will tell you you're going the wrong way or that...

We were supposed to stay in Zaouia 44 from March 3 - March 6. The last day to cancel the reservation was February 24. On February 27, two days before leaving for Morocco and due to a serious medical condition, I was advised by my neurosurgeon not to travel. I cancelled the entire trip to Morocco. Every place (even Delta...

While the design of Riad Zaouia 44 is refreshingly spare compared to some more decadently decorated hotels in Morocco, the location is unfortunate. It's a harrowing 20 minute walk to the nearest sites or the souk along roads bustling with motorcycles, cars, and buses. I think it's misleading that in the description of the hotel it says that is "within...

Friendly staff helping you getting around a city that is way different to all the cities you normally experience is worth everything and the guys at Zaouia44 were all that. Arriving at the place for the first time makes you feel like: where the **** am I but once stepped inside you feel like in a different world. Yes, the...

We, me and my beloved, really had a beautiful stay at Riad Zaouia 44 a long weekend in the beginning of February. It is a very private spot, a great place to rest from the busy wandering around in the Medina. The staff was very welcoming and friendly and we were served mint tea at arriving. We enjoyed our breakfasts...
