The stuff was so lovely and helpful. Breakfast is home made and fresh. I totally recommend this Riad! Feels like home away from home. The place is so beautiful and calm. Rooms are very spacious. We had dinner at the riad and the food was delicious!

We didn't initially book at Riad Zaouia 44 for our stay, but were placed there when our originally booked riad contacted us to tell us that they hadn't been cleared for occupancy yet since the earthquake. Honestly, we probably wouldn't have chosen Riad Zaouia 44 based on the pictures, which looked a little plain and sterile compared to other riads with more colorful and detailed pictures. But WOW. How wrong we would have been, This Riad was GORGEOUS and had such a feeling of luxury. Our host, Mohamed, was so accommodating and kind. A wonderful example of Moroccan hospitality. The guest rooms/bathrooms are spacious and comfortable. The courtyard is lush with greenery and feels like an oasis from the busy, dusty city streets. This Riad is a little difficult to find, but worth the effort. Thank you Mohamed, for a wonderful stay!

We were 3 girls and stayed 4 days at zaouia 44. The riad is plenty of charm, the patio and the rooms are quiet which is contrasting with the effervescence of the medina. We ate the best moroccan dishes of our life at the hoteI. Last but not least, we were hosted by Mohamed (our contact at the hotel), who really took care of us: he gave us real recommendation, helped us to find great excursions, and was very kind. I recommend this hotel without hesitation. My next trip would be there again, this is sure.

Beautiful Riad, nice pool and big rooms, tasty breakfast and friendly people. A little bit outside of touristic Medina, rather in a local surrounding located. Overall recommend for a stay in Marrakesch

You arrive at an unmarked door and wonder if you are in the wrong place. Then you walk in, down a long hallway, and suddenly you are in a beautiful oasis. Our room was large and quiet - a wonderful respite from the busy Medina outside. Mohamed and his team were wonderful, gave us lots of information about how to navigate the Medina (and avoid scams), and cooked delicious breakfasts for us every morning. We could not recommend this place more highly.

The whole experience at the Riad was lovely. Super great communication prior to and during our stay. Very attentive staff, lovely breakfast and helpful with all things around the old city. Rooms were simple and lovely...bathrooms mostly good, the hard water might cause the faucets to be a little funky but nothing really bad or unexpected. We did feel a little taken advantage of with regards to the transfer to Essaouira. The guys charged us 160. euro and it took almost 4 hours with a stop at a random coffee place (where again we felt ripped off). The price the driver charged back to Marrakesh (through a Trip Advisor req) was only 60. euro. Just be aware of what you should be paying.

We were moved to this Riad following the earthquake as our original riad was in the Jewish quarter and had sustained some superficial damage. Don’t be put off when you arrive, in keeping with the Riad tradition, it’s not meant to look opulent from the outside. It’s basically a little door in a wall, down the corridor and it’s like entering Narnia. Beautiful, cool and peaceful inner courtyard a world away from the hustle and bustle outside. Our room was spacious and clean and the air con was greatly appreciated!! Traditional breakfast in courtyard each day, manager Mohammad couldn’t do enough for us and is very knowledgeable and honest when it comes to local area. Only negative, it’s about a 20 min walk to main square through some “bustling” streets, we didn’t mind this at all, just something to consider if you’re not a walker. If we ever come to Marrakech again, we wouldn’t hesitate to stay here.

Everything about this property was fabulous. Great pool to dip in when it got too hot and lovely roof terrace to catch some rays whilst escaping the craziness of the city. Rooms were exactly as stated when booking and had great AC to get away from the heat during the day. The staff at the Riad were also exceptional. Mohamed and Imad went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and safe. Couple of really interesting and genuine guys which made the Riad feel like home. Would recommend to anyone who wants a great experience in Marrakesh!!

This riad is literally a hidden oasis in the bustling town!! So glad we chose this one after scrolling down my phone for hours. The manager and cleaning ladies were very kind, they welcomed my little son with a lot of “energy” haha. The breakfast was enjoyable and the interior was stunning- it’s modern, clean looking but traditional in a beautiful way (see pics). It’s a little far from the center and you need to walk for 15-20min which we preferred. If you want a peaceful vacation in Marrakech with a little bonus pool, look no further!

Although it was a very hot season (reaching 45 degrees celsius), we felt comfortable at Zaouia 44, especially after a rather hectic visit towards the central centre. For first timers, you should know -if you're a walker- that the riad is located a little off on the map for popular places to visit. Taxis often scam you and leave you about 400m away saying cars can't get near the address, although they can. Yet, the riad's courtyard very peaceful, and was the best experience in Marrakesh. The manager was very kind, and welcomed us very kindly despite our quite late arrival. The room and the bed were very comfortable, and the deco an optimal mix of contemporary and traditional. The breakfast was generous and very delicious. A suggestion would be to air condition the rooms before arrival of guests because it took a while for the room to get to a breathable temperature. We thank the management for their hospitality.
