Detailed Reviews
My stay, although short, was a wonderful one. The riad is located in an older section of the Medina, about a 20-25 min walk from the center, but for those seeking more of a quiet, off-the-beaten track stay, this is it. The staff were very kind and attentive and the rooms were very well appointed with very comfortable beds and showers with great water pressure and hot water almost immediately. I will definitely return here for my future trips to Marrakech and will certainly recommend the hotel to friends and family.

Riad Zaouia 44 is in many ways exceptional.
Imagine a peaceful island within the hectic Medina. Our room was very tastefully (minimalistic) furnished, with a spacious bathroom, one you would like to take home. In the patio and on the rooftop there are plenty of areas to relax, the small pool the best of all, surrounded by plants and birds chirping.
Everybody working there is super-nice, Mohamed and Moha always with a big smile in their face. They took excellent care of us and were helpful in every way. If you have any questions, are unsure about what to visit or want to learn about the customs, the two of them are the first ones to ask. The breakfast is a great starter in the day, and never the same.
We would always come back!

This riad has character and the coolness of the patio at the start of the heat was pleasant.
Discretion, availability, efficiency of Mohamed and Imad.
The cook delighted us with her breakfasts
Perfect housekeeping and towels changed every day.
Small downside: the 3rd person's bed was a fixed sofa. Less comfortable than a bed

I booked the Petiti Patio room but upon my arrival I found that it was not habitable: the walls had evident and widespread traces of humidity which caused breathing problems and health risks. I immediately asked for another room as it was not possible to stay there. On the part of the structure I had no solution and for all four days of the stay the manager of the Riad, despite my requests, did not want to meet me. Fortunately I was with a group and a friend of mine hosted me in another room. If it weren't for her I could have slept on the street and I assure you it wouldn't have been a good experience. My opinion on the structure is negative since they do not care about maintenance or about customers. A paradoxical situation given the total absence of the manager who has disinterested himself in the matter. In the end… .. they didn't even want to refund the stay. I would not go back for any reason ... customers abandoned to their fate and Petiti Patio not habitable with health risks.

Me and my partner were supposed to visit Riad Zaouia 44 few years ago, sadly didn’t happen because of covid so we made it this year finally. The internal space is absolutely beautiful, the interiors and the decorations will give you the feeling of being in a very relaxing bubble and Mohamed was incredibly kind, smart and gentle throughout our stay, definitely made us feel more comfortable in the city and gave us very good tips, he was i. a way the highlight of the stay at the Riad. The service was good overall, I would just point out that the breakfast could be slightly imporoved in terms of presentation and variety of choices especially for those with lactose or gluten intolerance. The terrace is super pleasant at any time of the day and there’s often a very cool breeze you can enjoy under the gazebos. The room wee had was very big and beautifully curated with a giant window facing the indoor garden, always in the shade and with very high ceilings. A very lovely stay

Our stay at Riad Zaouia 44 was really nice. Beautiful property, lovely suite and attentive staff. Couldn’t have been nicer. Food was incredibly good. The courtyard candles at night were enchanting. Would highly recommend if you are planning to be in Marrakesh.
A few things you should know. The place is incredibly difficult to find even with GPS. Streets are narrow and confusing. Add to this there are no signs, none in the surrounding area nor in front of the Riad itself. We wandered around for almost two hours before finally coming across someone who knew the place. Very frustrating and easily corrected.
If you are planning to walk from and to the Medina be prepared. It is not close, nor is it easy to locate. Taxis are inexpensive but difficult to find around the Riad. Taxis are readily available once you get to the tourist areas.
Wear earplugs if you like to sleep in. The nearby Mosque starts blaring its call to prayer quite early each morning.
Another thing that was not mentioned was the “corkage fee”. When we checked out we were presented with a 45 Euro charge for bringing our own liquor and wine. Neither was available for sale on premise nor was there prior mention of the fee. It came as a total surprise even after we were told no problem by the staff. The Riad owner has steadfastly refused to refund the charge. Be advised.

Wonderful Riad in a quiet area of the Medina, but within close walking distance of top attractions. Spacious rooms and bathrooms exactly as advertised. Cars can go up to the riad door which is a big advantage when loading and unloading your bags. Taxi stand is couple of min away too. Mohamed, the manager, and his staff were fantastic. Mohamed gave us great tips on how to navigate the Medina and other useful tips and suggestions about Marrakech. He was always ready to help and made our stay unforgettable. They had a good spread with eggs, fruits, crepes or local Moroccan food for breakfast, but I wish it was tastier.

Staying at the Riad Zaouia 44 was an incredible experience. The whole riad was peaceful, calm and such a welcomed oasis to the business and bustle of the Old Town of Marrakech.
The location was slightly far out (about a 10/15 minute walk to the restaurants and attractions we wanted to visit) however we felt this was a great way to get out bearing within the town and see more of it.
The staff at this riad were amazing. Both Mohamed and Imad were so helpful, receptive and catered to our every needs. We also ate dinner here on two of the nights, and would say that they provided more of an authentic and delicious offering of Moroccan cuisine in comparison to the restaurants we ate at. All other members of staff were lovely and helpful, too.
We also did a Hammam massage at the riad one afternoon - would really recommend this! It was so much fun and so different to anything we have ever done on a typical UK spa day.
Overall, I would recommend this riad to anyone, especially if you want a personal and authentic touch to your trip.

We didn't initially book at Riad Zaouia 44 for our stay, but were placed there when our originally booked riad contacted us to tell us that they hadn't been cleared for occupancy yet since the earthquake. Honestly, we probably wouldn't have chosen Riad Zaouia 44 based on the pictures, which looked a little plain and sterile compared to other riads with more colorful and detailed pictures. But WOW. How wrong we would have been, This Riad was GORGEOUS and had such a feeling of luxury. Our host, Mohamed, was so accommodating and kind. A wonderful example of Moroccan hospitality. The guest rooms/bathrooms are spacious and comfortable. The courtyard is lush with greenery and feels like an oasis from the busy, dusty city streets. This Riad is a little difficult to find, but worth the effort. Thank you Mohamed, for a wonderful stay!

This riad is literally a hidden oasis in the bustling town!! So glad we chose this one after scrolling down my phone for hours.
The manager and cleaning ladies were very kind, they welcomed my little son with a lot of “energy” haha. The breakfast was enjoyable and the interior was stunning- it’s modern, clean looking but traditional in a beautiful way (see pics).
It’s a little far from the center and you need to walk for 15-20min which we preferred. If you want a peaceful vacation in Marrakech with a little bonus pool, look no further!

It's very quiet in the old town, but there's lots of clubs with live shows in the new town. Our hosts arranged for a taxi to take us to a club and for us to be picked up at a time we requested.
