We enjoyed our stay at La Porte Rouge at the start of our holiday so much we cut short our visit to the coast to return there for our final night in Morocco. Both rooms we had were beautiful and each one quite different. For our second visit we were in a room right up on the terrace and it... More

We would definitely recommend this Riad. We arrived in the evening and were greeted with mint tea and biscuits by the lovely Adil, who was very helpful in showing us a map of the city and telling us about places to go etc. We were then given a delightful room, beautifully furnished with a good size ensuite and a safe.... Hello, I stayed at La Porte Rouge for 3 nights with a friend. The welcome was very warm-hearted with minth tea and different sorts of pastery. The riad, run professionaly by a very stylish and nice French lady, is niceley decorated with eye for detail. Everything is very clean and taken good care off, rooms are spacious and have airco.... I arrived and was greeted a adil who was very friendly and offered us a mint tea with sweets. Adil showed us on the map the local attractions and explained how to get around and helped me many times through out our trip. Our room was really cosy and had a brilliant shower, it also had a safe which comes... More

Enjoyed our stay...lovely riad tucked away from the chaos of the square. The staff are really welcoming and very friendly. Adill is so helpful and can help you out with anything you need. The rooms are lovely and the riad has that Moroccan feel you would want. It's about a 20 minute stroll to the square but nice to take... More

We stayed 6 nights at the Riad La Porte Rouge and booked it via email. We had airport transfers organised by the hotel and were welcomed with a mint tea on arrival and Michel took time to take us through the area and a tour of the Riad. The Riad is beautiful and comfortable as was our on-suite room. There... More

Definitely recommend it. We recently returned from 5 days in Riad la Porte Rouge. My wife and I absolutely loved it. We are both 30 and wanted comfort and style in the hotel without breaking the bank. Its really well decked out. They did a great job making a really stylish, traditional and comfortable riad. My wife is an interior... More

Such a friendly, chic and peaceful place. Karen is a perfect hostess and she has a lovely relationship with her charming and helpful staff. The food was delicious and service was just the right mix of courtesy, kindness and sense of humour. We'll definitely return - insh'allah! Thanks especially to Mohammed who went beyond the call of duty to help... More

Lovely room with en suite shower and a safe. Helpful, friendly English speaking staff and a great cook - massive portions! A little set back from the high street but don't let this put you off of a lovely stay. If you don't like cats stay away though as the ones here behave like dogs and pester at meal times.

Although difficult to find at first the Riad is a delight the moment you walk through the door. Hidden away within the local community at first impressions you may not be expecting much from the surrounding area but the Riad is its own little world within the hustle and bustle of the city. The staff are polite, friendly and welcoming... More
