Michelle and Grant are the most helpful, gracious hosts we experience in the five weeks in Morocco! Highly recommend staying here. Great location and their lodging is one of the most elegantly and well appointed...and comfortable! Loved it!

We were very pleasantly surprised at the peacefulness and finely decorated rooms at Riad Assakina. The staff spoke English well and was very helpful with directions and restaurant recommendations. It is located in a convenient place right next to the Bahia Palace in the Jewish Quarter, about a 20 minute walk to the Djemaa al F'naa. The owners are collectors... More

Without doubt, one of the best places we have stayed. Michele and Grant make you feel right at home at their impeccably styled Riad. We arrived on their doorstep with no plans and little time and within a few short hours, Michele and Grant had helped plan our stay in Morocco. We were put in touch with Nour Edine (spelling)... We felt very much at home in beautiful Riad Assakina and enyoyed the quiet, the wonderful hospitality and the warm welcome by Michele and Grant. From the moment of booking all the staff, especially Naoual and Hisham, made our stay perfect with that extra smile and many warm words. The Riad itself is the most gorgeous place, beautifully decorated and... More

The Riad is an absolutely stunning oasis, so tucked away that it just felt like heaven to retreat to after a day romping the Souks! The hospitality was remarkable and attentive, from breakfast, throughout the day with tea and cake, until the bed was turned down at night- it was the best place we've ever stayed at! Amazing advice and... More

This is a lovely Riad, decorated with real taste, not just the usual Marrakech tat. The owner is the soul of helpfulness. Their store is filled with tasteful (tho pricey), well-chosen items. Food quite wonderful. Drinks a balm at the end of the day. It's a good location, with easy walks to most of the sights. The current repairs in... More

Michele, Grant and the Riad Assakina team are, quite simply, the finest Marrakech has to offer; a warm welcome, gracious service, sumptuously-appointed surroundings, wonderful food and unrivalled local knowledge. You won't want to leave - I certainly didn't. Whether travelling on your own (as I was, on this occasion) or with somebody else, Riad Assakina is the perfect destination, whatever... More

Deep in the Jewish quarter of the Medina lies an oasis of calm, as we arrived, we were led down a small side street towards an ornate gated front door. Tired and grumpy from travelling, we were greeted with big smiles and a warming smell of incense. Instant calm! Some homemade mint tea later (extra sugar) and we felt refreshed... More

Excellent break. 5th visit and never disappoints. Staff welcoming and Michele continues to look after you well. Excellent restaurants and tips for visits. Love Marrakech with all the hustle and bustle. A different holiday to normal hotel and big city which is what makes it magical, and a welcoming staff and good food at the end of the day means...
