Location great, yards from the souks, and main piazza. Peaceful interior (except some evenings when loud Gnawia music from nearby rooftop is intrusive). Rooms traditionally furnished, clean, not luxurious. Breakfasts very good in courtyard by pool, fresh pastries/bread/coffee. Unfortunate personal experience on arrival in evening (despite arrival time known by hotel who fixed transfer taxi) when our room was occupied by other guests and hotel full despite printed confirmation with PIN number. Advise great care in insisting on specific booked accommodation is actually provided.
Nice clean Riad with an extremely helpful manager, and literally a 2 minute walk from the Jemaa el-Fna. Taxi drops you by cafe de France and it's a 5 minute walk to the riad from here. I would definitely stay here again as it is extremely good value for money and is easy to find.
Beware of this Riad, we were booked to stay here as a package holiday with British Airways for 3 nights. We arrived at the Riad at 8:20pm the Riad was very nice looking and quirky, we were greeted with a cold drink and told to take a seat and the hotel worker asked for our passports. After a few minutes the hotel worker told us we had to follow him as we were not going to be staying at the Riad we had booked as they had a group booking and had given our room to somebody else. We asked him why they had done this and what was the alternative Riad you had for us. The alternative accommodation was only a three star Riad and had not had any new reviews left in the last five years. We refused to go with him and had to just leave as the hotel worker was getting very aggressive as we refused to follow him. We were then left trying to find accommodation at 10pm at night in a very very busy Marrakech Medina. I would defiantly NOT recommend this hotel to anybody Beware.…
My friend and I have stayed for a week in this riad, a family guesthouse close to the main square inside the medina at the centre of Marrakech. We have had a wonderful time with hosts Sophie and Ihab, and been treated like family. Helpful local information has saved us time and money, and arrangements flexible to fit around us. There are 8 en suite rooms, furnished comfortably in traditional Morrocan style. The plunge pool has been welcome every day as we return from our outings. I would highly recommend anyone to stay here who wants to experience local lifestyle and be very close to everything in the walls of the medina.
The riad is beautiful and it's location is perfect, very close to Jemaa el-Fnaa, restaurants, spas and attractions. The staff is very nice and the breakfast by the pool very good as well, however it does not included any protein. Overall, very good stay with a comfortable room, would stay here again! However, we did have a big disappointment with a tour guide the riad arranged for us. The city tour consisted in walking behind the guide for around 3 without him giving us any history, insights or information about the city. We love history, cultures and religions and he did not explain a thing, even when we asked him questions — so be careful with the guide recommendation the riad gives you!
We've just returned home from a week stay here. Its hard to put in order the best bit about this raid. Staff are wonderful, super helpful friendly. Sophie husband so very helpful with sorting out transfer at end of stay, Perfect location very quiet but 2 minutes to main square. Clean, comfortable brilliant shower lovely roof terrace. I would highly recommend staying here when visiting marrakesh
Had the most amazing stay at this hotel. Myself and my boyfriend stayed for a week and loved it. The staff were so helpful and kind and the service was great. The riad itself is stunning and the rooms are comfortable and lovely. The breakfast and dinners served here are divine. The location is perfect as it is 5 mins walk to the main square. I would highly recommend this hotel, I have no negative comments!
Stayed with my family in the Suite Orchidee, really gorgeous room with a lot of character and enough space for 2 adults plus an 11 and 13 year old. The shower and sink were in the room which we were very happy with (huge amount of character!) but might not suit every family. Sophie and team were super friendly and accommodating (early check in/late check out) and the food was freshly prepared and delicious. My only gripe would be that communication prior to our trip could have been improved upon. Nevertheless I'd still recommend 100% - a calm oasis!
We were 3 girls travelling, we had the Suite on the last floor. Gorgeous rooms and clean. Hassan was lovely and was able to help us with every questions we had. The only issue we had with the hotel was the communication before our arrival. i sent an email requesting airport pick up and drop off, no reply. i send 2 reminders after that, still nothing. i then decided to call, i had a lady on the phone who asked to text her via whatsapp instead. which i promptly did, the message was read but no reply. i had to send several reminders. At the end i had a quick message saying, 'ok, it's comfirmed" no apologies whatsoever. upon our arrival, we waited inside the airport as no instructions were given as to where the driver will be waiting. i've texted the same number/called still no reply. then i sent a message saying we will take another cab to which she replied telling me to call another number. It was a bad start of the trip. luckily Hassan made up for it atour arrival. The breakfast is just ok...breads/marrocan pancakes tea/coffee with jams. some day you'd have fruit on another just yoghurt. keep in mind, that you have to pay a city tax of 2.5EUR per person per day at check out.…
Really enjoyed our stay at this quaint Riad which is located just a few minutes away from the main square. We were a group of 9 ladies and it felt like we were a house guest rather than staying in a hotel. Lasaan took great care of us all, nothing was too much trouble, he really was a star! Rachid was there on the last day, ending our stay with great service. The rooms were clean and we had extra blankets and quilts if needed. Breakfast was lovely and we really enjoyed the fresh juices and pastries. We also asked for eggs which were provided each morning. I would highly recommend this peaceful Riad and will definitely be staying here again. Thanks to all the staff for making our stay a memorable one!
