Travelers' Choice
Beautiful 17th century building, located in the andalous quarter of the medina of Fez, Karawan Riad offers 7 suites decorated with attention to every detail. This will never stop amazing you during all your stay. Location is convenient: in a tranquil corner of the medina, yet very easy to reach. Each room is unique, with original antique furnitures, rugs and artwork pieces, wisely blended with modern facilities. The common lounges (library and tea room) offer a great place to rest after a day of walking in the medina. The young local Chef Outhmane Choumi restaurant offers an affordable Bistro menu for lunch and more clever twist meals for dinner. There is also an traditionnal hammam (moist heat and traditionnal ritual ) and massage sessions can be booked.

Stayed here for a short stay with a large group in July. We had initially booked for 3 nights but could only stay for 2 because of a change in our plans. We booked 4 rooms and basically had the entire 2nd floor to ourselves. Let me start out by saying that we were blown away by this hotel. The hotel went out of it's way to make us feel comfortable. We're booked the rooms through booking.com. Rooms : clean , well decorated and modern. There is no central AC but there are wall units in every room. The rooms are huge and we were spoiled. Breakfast: delicious and served like we were part of their family. I felt like I was at home. Facilities:. The hotel is a Riad which is actually an old home that had been converted into a hotel. Everything is beautiful and well maintained. Service:. What I was truly impressed by is the service. These guys treated us like family and it was not unnoticed. Sidi Usman, Nuzha and two others who I am forgetting babes all went out of there way. Sidi Usman in particular helped me to arrange covid testing for our group and followed up on the results diligently. He clearly went above and beyond. Do not look and further. This gem is THE place to stay in Fez.

Had a terrific stay at the Karawan Riad in Fes. Otmane, the manager, was fantastic in the pre-arrival process, arranging tours, restaurants, etc. in advance of our arrival. Our room, the Chergui Suite was immaculate and beautifully styled. We stayed at some of the nicer hotels in Morocco during our stay (Tamadot, Amanjena, Four Seasons Casablanca) and the Karawan Riad was of the same quality.

We stayed here for 3 nights during Eid al-Fitr. Absolutely amazing experience. We were the only guests for the first 2 nights and service was fantastic. All staff were friendly and helpful, especially with regards to dining and offering advice for our Fez visit. They set us up with a very informative guide. This was also some of the best food we’ve eaten in Morocco (lived in Morocco for 3 years now). All of their lamb dishes were exquisite and you could taste the love and care they put into their food. We would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Honestly, one of the best hotels I've ever been to. They are super understanding and their customer service is like staying at the Four Seasons in Casablanca, superior service. I couldn't make it to my initial booking and they allowed me to change the dates and gave me a complimentary Royal suite when I came back for the day after, which I can say is beyond gorgeous. Two full bathrooms that are completely modern with RAIN SHOWERS (which I love) and many balconies overlooking the Riad and city. No words to describe. Even the upstairs master bath has a view to the whole duplex suite since it has glass walls on the second floor. Coming here was truly amazing, no other place like it.

Room Tip: The royal suite is by far their best room and truly worth it!
