We spent three nights at Dar Roumana and found it amazing. As others have mentioned, the suites are beautiful and the careful renovation of this riad as well as its tasteful decoration are both outstanding. Breakfast is delicious and steers clear of packaged food. Instead you get fresh fruit, yoghurt, cereal, freshly made juice and bread and a choice of... More

Spent a week traveling around Morocco with my boyfriend and another couple. Of all the places we stayed, this was hands down our favorite. It was gorgeous, spacious, and luxurious. The rooms were clean and enormous. I highly recommend the Tamarind or Yasmina suites on the 2nd floor. We stayed in the Tamarind, and the bedroom & bathroom both overlooked... More

The Dar roumana is nothing like the other hotels. It has been such a unique experience for us and has to be said one of the most beautiful hotels that I have ever stayed at. The rooms are massive and the staff are very helpful with everything, be it needing an adapter or organising a day out. Nothing ever seemed... More

Dar Roumana is a rather large, perfectly well restored, old single family home in the norther, up hill part of El Bali. The view from its roof is breathtaking. It only has five guest rooms and it is great to meet other guest by the fire place or at meals in the common area. It is very comfortable and just... More

This is one of the most wonderful hotels we've ever stayed at. Period. The rooms (especially the Yasmina suite) are beautifully restored. I felt as though I was sleeping in The Alhambra Palace in Granada, Spain, but with five star accommodations. The staff is very helpful with everything including getting the bags up the stairs, serving afternoon tea, and making... More

This Riad is run by a young couple named Vincent and Vanessa. Vincent is a chef an prepares some of the best dishes I have had in long time. I compare is restaurant to a Michelin Star experience for a fraction of the price. Vanessa runs the Riad. The rooms are have all the modern creature comforts but with a... More

We drove in from the desert, and couldn't imagine a better place for rest and relaxation and some of the best food we've ever had. Vanessa was extremely professional and warm over our email conversations setting up the trip and some of our daytime itinerary outside the hotel. The rooms were spacious and traditional, with huge bathroom and full amenities.... More

I searched and searched for the perfect place to stay in Fez.... And I found it at the Dar roumana. We were three women of a certain age, setting off alone on a grand adventure through Morocco, and what a fabulous adventure it was. We came in October; the weather was perfect. Landed in Casablanca for an overnight, and then... More

I really struggled with my rating of Dar Roumana in that a key element to making my stay as enjoyable as it was, was Dar Roumana's restaurant ; which when you read my review of the restaurant you will see that I gave it a 5 star rating. However, in rating ONLY the sleeping accommodations for Dar Roumana , I... More

Dar Rouama is an architectural gem on the edge of the Medina. It was our favorite city stay of our whirlwind tour, not just because of its interior beauty, but because of the warm, welcoming staff. We arrived just after dark (and a very long car ride),and were greeted by hosts Vanessa and Vincent with with a roaring fire, mint... More
