What a marvelous experience in this magnificent riad, a peaceful respite and truly the most beautiful riad we had the pleasure to stay in while visiting Morocco. The home is spacious with all the traditional architectural Moroccan details - the fabulous zelligs, stucs, the intricately carved solid wood doors, the immense height of the main floor, the painted wood ceilings,... We loved our 5 night stay at this Riad - great location just a stones throw from the medina, peaceful, extremely comfortable, beautiful decor in our upper floor bedroom and the central courtyard was magical. We enjoyed the breakfasts and also ate here on 3 evenings - all the food was of good quality and tasty. The staff were amazing... More

We stayed in 3 riads in Morocco, 2 in Marrakech and Riad Al Bartal in Fes and this was our favorite place. The staff was friendly and helpful and spoke English. Breakfast seemed to be the standard Moroccan offering, lots of breads with jams and honey, coffee, fresh juice and the mint tea was some of the better tea we... More

Riad al bartal is situated on the side of the medina. We arrived by car and there is a 24/7 protected car park across the hotel. They assisted us with our luggage. When you arrive in the riad Omar welcomes you with Moroccan tea and cookies, he says because everyone needs some relaxing time after they arrive. We got a... More

Entering this riad was like stepping into a fairytale. The décor is breathtaking! Because our visit was in low season, we got a free upgrade to a stunning suite. Omar was an amazing host and really funny and kind. I enjoyed every moment in the riad, simply taking in the surroundings!

Everything was great about our experience at this riad. From the warm welcome with tea and cookies, the amazingly beautiful riad, to our fantastic room. The service was amazing, and the delicious breakfast was served beautifully. We had dinner there the first night and it was delicious as well. I would definitely go back to Riad Al Bartal, and totally... More

This riad offers very spacious rooms that are elegantly decorated as one would expect in Morocco -- walls with hand painted tiles and carvings, charming accents and a common room full of greenery. The wonderfully accommodating staff waited up for us even though we arrived late and they were still able to serve us the dinner we had ordered in... More

From the very first moment you step into this beautiful Riad your vision, heart and soul is trapped by the magical atmosphere of the courtyard. Stepping in from the small door you immediately switch from the tense fast pace of medina to the peaceful heavenly garden of the Al Bartal interior. Definitely the photos in booking.com and other websites cannot... More

We got there a bit late after dark but it was no problem finding the Riad. Omar greeted us and offered us some refreshing mint tea and house made cookies, both of which were delicious! He speaks great English and also provided us with good info regarding the medina and places to see. The Riad itself is very beautiful and... More
