Friends and I went there for drinks and snacks on the terrace. Go before sunset and you can enjoy an excellent view onto Fez Medina, while drinking a beer or wine. Drinks are pricy though. The pizza was so so.

Expect European prices for the drinks, but with a wonderful view over the old city of Fes. Come here around sunset and enjoy your drink with a view. It's walking distance from Bab Boujloud, but we took a cab up the hill.

I stayed in Les Merinides to attend the Amazigh Festival of Morocco in July 2016. Beautiful view and nice pool. It was not very convenient to the site of the conference in the Nouvelle City if only because we picked up other attendees from other hotels - just took a while in traffic. And I had no time to take... More

The hotel is average but has a fantastic view over the old city of Fes if you get a room with the city view. The other option is a view with the mountains. It is not close to the main attractions of the city. Hotel itself is above average and needs a little updating especially the furniture and the decor.... More

My husband and I were charged $40 dollars just foe the use of their pool. In truth the pool had plastic and dead bees floating everywhere. It was in fact dirty. The so called "life guard" sat in his chair the entire and vet looked up once. Had anyone drowned on his watch he wouldn't have heard it because he... More

We didn't stay at the hotel, but we took a petit taxi from the medina up here (about 9 dirhams) for some drinks at the end of the day. Beautiful place to get away from all the noises of the old town. Great view on the medina, great to combine with a visit of Borj Nord and the Merinides tower.... More

Les Merinides has a fantastic view over the old city of Fes, but that is from the top of a hill outside the city meaning it is isolated from everything; no shops, no restaurants, and no access to taxis which means that without your own transport it is very difficult to get anywhere.

This hotel has been the worst! Yes they gave me a room on the front side, a room on the backside by the way is not worth any of your money. Unfortunately the room smelled, simply beacause of the old carpets, nothing can beat that moldy smell. THe view is very nice, i guess that is the reason why many... More

Les Mérinides enjoys a proud position overlooking the old city and is a draw for people coming to have drinks and take photographs of the impressive views. I enjoyed my three day stay but when groups were also using the hotel I at times felt marginalised, particularly in the dining room. The staff are pleasant and the accommodation comfortable and... After climbed the tomb of Merinides for amazing sunset pictures we retired to the hotel bar of Les Merinides. The view of Fes el Bali was breathtaking at sunset and hearing the adhan, call to prayer, was magical. The bar prices are compatible and you wont overpay compared to other bars in Fes (with no view!). i.e., 40 Dhirams for... More
