This smaller ryad goes above and beyond to make your stay enjoyable. Run by a french man who spent years restoring it, the customer service is supurb. Fez is a bit more traditional than some of the other cities in Morocoo and this ryad helps you escape the streets to a little bit of heaven and serenity.

Dramatic approach! After you left your car at the municipal parking lot outside the walls of the ancient Medina, the luggage man leads you through a maze of narrow dirty streets that leaves you wondering if you made the right move. Just before you get really worried, you stand in front of a heavy wooden door waiting for the "open...

We stayed at this riad for three nights while in Fez and had nothing but a wonderful time. The rooms were beautiful, clean and modern. The food and wine was delicious, the courtyard so relaxing and even used the pool. Best of all was the service. Michael was wonderful, you truly felt like you were in his home. Everyone that...

What a find, we absolutely enjoyed the tremendous hospitality extended to us by host Michel. The Riad and our room was very authentic, in keeping with the look and feel of Morocco as was the excellent food and fine wine. It's hard to believe the Raid sits in the heart of the hustle and bustle on the old Medina, it's...

We stayed here as a family. We stayed for 3 nights and then 2 nights. This ryad is so peaceful and beautiful you never want to leave. It is right in the middle of the most magical medina and has a lovely courtyard with a very relaxing pool. We ate here twice and I would thoroughly recommend doing so. The...

We very highly recommend this Riad. The owner/operator is a Frenchman with an excellent wine cellar for guests to access and a highly talented chef. We not only enjoyed the breakfasts included in the board, but we also enjoyed two dinners at the Riad Salama, and were all extremely pleased with the dining experience. Michel and his staff provided the...

My husband booked this ryad as part of my birthday celebrations and I had left all the planning up to him, this was by far my favorite experience out the ryads we stayed at during our 10 day trip to Morocco, truly magnificent! From the moment the door opened from the street we were greeted by the owner Michel, who...

Walking back the dark, dismal, and narrow alleyways into the middle of Fez at dusk, we didn't know what to expect when we reached the wooden door. We wouldn't have found it, had we not had our driver with us, either! Once we were greeted by Michel, the proprietor of the Fyad Salama, it all made sense. We sat in...

This was our favorite lodging during a 11-day tour of Morocco. The location was perfect for getting out and spending time in the old Medina. Michel shared some of his favorite places to eat in the Medina and we found that his recommendation for a cafe was perfect for us on our second day in Fes. The first evening we...

Our family of four had two beautiful rooms in the Ryad Salama for two nights in late December 2013. Of the many hotels we stayed at on our trip through Morocco and Spain, this one was one of our very favorites. The rooms are beautiful. Our two had unique and unusual layouts with sitting areas, balconies overlooking the garden courtyard...
