My wife and I stayed at the Palais Amani for 3 nights after transferring there from another hotel in Fes. If we could give a higher rating than excellent, we would. Upon arrival we were upgraded to a bigger suite. It was magnificent. It has a living room area, a huge bedroom area, and an extra large bathroom. Location of Palais Amani was wonderful, only a 3 minute walk from the tannery. It was also maybe a few minute walk to the souks in the other direction. Can't be beat. The food from breakfast to dinner was all top notch. My wife took a cooking class with another couple from Seattle and she enjoyed it very much. I had a hammam treatment plus a massage during their happy hour, and both were very good. The best reason to stay at the Palais Amani were the people who worked there. Loubna, the conciergerie, was very friendly and willing to help out in any aspect needed. If you're thinking of staying at Palais Amani, Loubna will help you before, during and after your stay. She also spoke very good English, which in our case was very helpful. Loubna recommended a French restaurant to go eat one night (outside the medina) and she was right on, it was superb. I think it would be very difficult to find a more comfortable location in Fes to stay, taking into consideration the location, quality, and staff. You will not go wrong by staying at Palais Amani.

Divine architecture. We love every single design of this hotel. But not the location, which I will explain later. And too bad we were there at the wrong time. Our previous riad in Chefchaouen arranged for our transfer to this hotel. Check in process was quick. We had the best Moroccan tea and biscuits at the lobby. The room was good, they even provided Moroccan babouches slippers. We had dinner at the nearby restaurant. Towards the end of the day 1 of our our stay, we were made to understand that the Moroccan government has decided to suspend flight due to the new omicron variant and that's how our nightmare in Morocco started. The next morning, we talked to every guests on their plans. Breakfast was great. As we are not Europeans, our options were very limited as we need PCR test result to enter most countries and we do not have enought time to reach Marrakech/Casablanca airport on time. The hotel staff was really nice by helping us to purchase the simcard. After several stressful calls to the airlines and embassy, we decided to stay in Morocco instead. We proceeded with our plan to explore the old Medina. We thought we can explore the town on our own as what we did in Chefchaouen. We were wrong! As soon as we left the hotel, we can't even stop to check our phone for navigation (we donwnloaded offline map) as we were continously approached by touters and scammers. We practically run back to the hotel. We then contacted the guide who assisted our car driver to locate the hotel on our arrival to explore the place. We spent the rest of the day at the hotel trying to look for alternative option to leave Morocco. That night I noticed that Turkish airline may have an emergency flight out of Morocco. I just noticed that I have no more credit balance to call them. We went down to the lobby to ask for help. To our surprised there were only us and 1 guard (an old guy who can only speak arabic) left in the hotel. We used google translate to talk to him where he asked us to use the office phone to call the airline call centre in Morocco, however the phone line is not working. The guard was really helpful where he then called the hotel's manager where he helped us first thing in the morning. Although we were the only guests on that morning, they still provided us with huge options for breakfast. We checked out after breakfast with undecided plan. Overall we had a pleasant time at this wonderful hotel and were given great services by all staffs. However, the surrounding area of the medina can really change your experience in Morocco.

3 course menu for 450 MAD. Thought we'd end our holiday with a "fine dining experience" as stated on their website. Had alot of lovely tagines and meals in Morocco travelling around the country over the past 13 days, but this was the absolute worst. The quality of the cooking was absolutely dreadful. Told that the chef is a trainee but clearly getting no guidance and the hotel is just living off its name. Starter salad was well over-vinigared. No couscous available even though only 8 main courses on menu. Veg tagine was a tasteless mushy soup with slimy okra. Orange mousse was inedible and fruit pastilla was pastry and stewed apple, too dry to eat. We gave our feedback and were made to feel like we were the problem "nobody else has complained" being the classic! Made to wait to pay our bill while they spoke to a manager about our complaint. Were offered a measly 30% discount (even though 10% was the service charge)!! We paid up as we just wanted to go home in the end but save your money and get a meal for a fraction of the price in the Medina, plenty of lovely restaurants with pretty terraces.

Room Tip: Avoid the restaurant. Nice waiting staff but the food quality does not echo the price.

Dear Guest, Many thanks for your feedback in relation to your recent meal at Eden at Palais Amani Restaurant. We immensely regret to learn about your experience at our Restaurant which was not up to your expectations. We are also saddened by your so excessive comment, as we entirely agree that it's unacceptable to happen since this does not showcase the quality and Hospitality our Palais Amani is known for and that we kept promoting throughout the years; however, we always believe that criticism is always welcome when it is constructive and balanced. We understand that your bad impression was about the main dishes, as you requested to pack the starters to take with you. To better your experience our team also graciously offered a 30% discount on the total bill which represents 50% off on the food menus. Please note, our dear guest, that our clients' satisfaction is our first priority. Hoping we will have the chance to welcome you again very soon and offer you digestif at our Restaurant to improve your experience in Fez, Sincerely yours, Eden at Palais Amani team,

A stay at Palais Amani really is a truly special experience, on so many levels. The first thing you experience upon arrival, and then throughout your time, is the warmth and kindness of the staff and their constant desire to ensure you truly have the greatest time possible. It is clear how proud the team are of their hotel and their city, and that shines through. Palais Amani in itself is a beautiful place to spend time and a fantastic base for exploring the wonders of the historic and special Medina. The rooms are sumptuous but also comfortable, the food delicious and the rooftop areas create a relaxing space to just sit back and soak it all up. There is also a huge amount on offer in the hotel, from yoga to Medina tours and, our favourites, the cookery school and hammam. The cookery school in particular made for an unforgettable (and delicious) experience, with plenty of fun. All in all, we really couldn’t praise our stay enough- thank you so, so much.

Palais Amani is a dream on the earth. Fantastic architecture, such a beautiful Riad that is completed by an outstanding staff. My wife and I were greated with an upgrade and our suite was just fantastic, breakfast could have a little more options, but what is available is really savory and delicious. The complimentary fruit, nespresso, tea and morrocan sweets every night are just one more touch that shows how deeply the team cares about their guests. My wife had an issue with a leather jacket she had bought and they tirelesly worked around to help her, even past midnight. A special note to Loubna from the team is worthy, she gave us the best tips in terms of restaurants and programa and ensured reservations, even as we had arrived really late and tired from a long trip, and she mostly managed to keep a restaurant open for us, because it was the best recommendation in terms of typical Morrocan food. PS: Their location at night might be hard to find and the Medina might look spooky, so do not forget to ask in advance for someone from their team to meet you and bring you to the Palace, you will be acompanied by someone with a very long smile.

A lovely Hammam experience from start to finish - I felt very welcome and very pampered. A visit to Amani feels like a nice luxurious break to a green oasis in the middle of the Medina, the staff were incredibly attentive and lovely (from the reception, to Hammam itself and everyone we came across). It’s also a good introduction to Hammam if you are doing it for the first time or as a tourist in general.

Totally loved the cooking course we did at Palais Amani today. It started with a relaxed but very informative walk around parts of the souk to buy ingredients with our chef Houssam and facilitator Fatima (both lovely). And then back to the tranquility of Palais Armani’s rooftop to cook. It was a wonderful place to do it, we cooked delicious food and had a lot of fun doing it.

This place is truly amazing. The facility is gorgeous. The rooms are beautiful. The location could not be better. The staff are lovely and caring people. They genuinely want to make your stay as wonderful as possible. While convenient, the restaurant is reasonably good but not as great as many surrounding restaurants. Staff will happily recommend other restaurants, make reservations and arrange a guide to get you there (key in these winding streets). Without any reservations I highly recommend Palais Amani if you’re going to Fez
