Beauty & serenity at Palais Amani
The riad is elegant and peaceful. It is in the old medina of Fes. The staff were very helpful and the riad was clean. We were not in town very long so we were not able to experience the cooking class, but we saw the location of the cooking classes on the roof top which you can see from one of the pictures. It has to be a wonderful experience to do that class for the location alone. From the higher floors you look down at the orange trees in the center of the court yard and you can hear many birds singing and see the beautiful tiles. We ate one night at the restaurant for dinner, which was a bit pricey. My son had orange soup for a starter and we got traditional dishes which was delicious, We would stay there again.
Dear Guest, We would like to take a moment to thank you warmly for your kind and positive feedback. We are essentially delighted to learn that your recent visit to Palais Amani has left a very nice impression on you at all levels, as we always strive to introduce our distinguished guests to the beauty of Fez Medina. We are very grateful and hope we will have the opportunity to welcome you again in the very near future. Assuring you of our best attention, Sincerely yours, The Palais Amani Team

    An oasis in Fès
Palais Amani is a dream on the earth. Fantastic architecture, such a beautiful Riad that is completed by an outstanding staff. My wife and I were greated with an upgrade and our suite was just fantastic, breakfast could have a little more options, but what is available is really savory and delicious. The complimentary fruit, nespresso, tea and morrocan sweets every night are just one more touch that shows how deeply the team cares about their guests. My wife had an issue with a leather jacket she had bought and they tirelesly worked around to help her, even past midnight. A special note to Loubna from the team is worthy, she gave us the best tips in terms of restaurants and programa and ensured reservations, even as we had arrived really late and tired from a long trip, and she mostly managed to keep a restaurant open for us, because it was the best recommendation in terms of typical Morrocan food. PS: Their location at night might be hard to find and the Medina might look spooky, so do not forget to ask in advance for someone from their team to meet you and bring you to the Palace, you will be acompanied by someone with a very long smile.
Dear Fernano, We are very glad to express our warmest thanks for your kind feedback, it has been a real pleasure having you and your lovely wife here at our Palais Amani. Your kind words confirming your satisfaction - with the service, the grounds, the garden, the configuration of the Riad, and the special attention provided throughout your stay- will be proudly shared with Loubna and the entire team. Your remarks concerning the breakfast will be definitely taken into consideration. We will remain committed to provide the outstanding and remarkable service Palais Amani is known for. We hope that you will be back again very soon. With our best wishes for you and your family. Sincerely yours, The Palais Amani Team

    Sublime Hammam Expérience
I booked a happy hour royal hammam here. It was the most wonderful experience. If you are staying nearby someone will collect you and drop you off so you don't have to worry about finding it. The staff were so kind and welcoming. On arrival I was treated to mint tea and biscuits whilst having the process explained to me in detail so I knew what to expect. Everything about the hammam I had was faultless. Every last detail was considered and all you have to do is surrender and relax and let their wonderful staff take care of you. I was scrubbed, washed, massaged and dried off and I left feeling so relaxed and rejuvenated. The palais itself is absolutely beautiful. You will definitely want to take some photos while you are there. If you're thinking of having a luxury hammam experience I highly recommend going here!
Dear Client, We would like to express our gratitude and warmest thanks for your kind and positive comments. We are very delighted to learn that you have enjoyed the whole experience and that you were amazed by the hotel facilities in general i.e. the restaurants, and the Spa. The staff would be thrilled to hear such an appreciation. We are looking forward to welcome you again with the whole family for another enjoyable experience at your Palais Amani. Sincerely yours, The Palais Amani Team

I warm welcome greeted us as we arrived at the hotel. Everything had run smoothly with our driver meeting us at the airport who whisked us away to the hotel after a night long journey. Mint tea and home-made cookies were served immediately in the magnificent courtyard garden that also houses the reception and dining room. You immediately know you’re in Morocco due the tiled walls, central fountain and lush vegetation. Nothing was too much trouble as we were shown to our large spacious suite. Five days of 5* service, the staff were impeccable hosts. We wallowed in the luxurious hamam enjoying a relaxing massage & facial to start the destress from London life. A lovely 3 course dinner in the garden restaurant completed our first day. A half day sightseeing tour around the Medina ensured we gained our bearings for future exploration as well as giving us a plotted history of this ancient city. The cookery course along with the foodie trip to the markets sampling and buying the ingredients we cooked was the highlight of the trip. We went to several recommended restaurants and didn’t have a dodgy experience once - each had fabulous food in beautiful surroundings. I would highly recommend a trip to both Fes (so much nicer than Marrakesh) and the wonderful Palais Amani. Thankyou everyone who made our 5 day holiday a truly special experience.

So first of all the place itself is gorgeous. We went with our family and everyone loved the rooms. This was easy to get to and the people are very nice and friendly. The breakfast which was included was very good as well. Two issues - wifi went out a lot and the last day was not available. Dinner - This was expensive. We reached late night and had really no other option with the family and by the time we realized it was too late. Each tajine was $25 which was way more than anywhere else we ate the entire time. So I would stay here but not eat dinner here. The wifi issue I am not sure if that was a universal thing or just for this riad.

Palais Amani is a beautiful facility with a lovely terrace but they have not figured out service. The welcome yea with Mr Mohamed was lovely. There is a very strange vibe about money. We were nickeled and dimed at every step of our stay. They were very specific about everything that cost money and everything that was free. Very little was free except one bottle of water. Very different from our other experiences in Morocco. Most importantly, that vibe seem to pervade the whole experience. This is not the fault of the staff. They are doing what they have been told. The food was good, but we decided not to eat there a second night because of the weird money vibe. When my sister-in-law and her husband opened the bottle of wine left for us in the room at a charge, they charged them a service fee, even though they opened their own bottle of wine with their own corkscrew. When we checked in, there was a sewer smell coming out of our toilet. This is something we have encountered in the developing world, but not in Morocco until now. They were able to fix us to a certain extent. The most annoying thing that happened was that they painted our shutters with some varnish/toxic chemical while we were gone for the day. Additionally, the safes in each of our rooms did not work properly. All of this being said, the beds were comfortable and the water was hot and there was a shower door which was welcome. I am thinking that they may have only recently reopened after the worst of Covid because they aren’t running smoothly.

An amazing ryad that I will certainly recommend for family and friends. My stay there was like a dream; the ancient city, the beautiful garden and tranquility where you only bothered by birds singing in the early morning. Finally, the super kind and helpful staff would make your experience very special. Thank you for the good experience : )
