The Riad Yamanda was recommended by the management of another Riad where we were staying so we dined in this delightful Riad a stone's throw away where Fatima rules the kitchen and also instructs. What an experience. Delicious menu and washed down by her well chosen Moroccan wine. Well worth the experience.

The Riat is the perfect location, the breakfast was delicious and the staff were extremely kind. Building was beautiful, our room was a little run down but still a great stay. Beautiful view from the roof too!

While recently in Morocco, my friends and i had 2 fabulous cooking classes held at Riad Fez Yamanda. For one of them, we started at the food market in the medina, choosing our chicken (live!!), vegetables, the dough for the pastillas, the deserts, etc. Back at the riad, the 4 of us cooked tagines, couscous, salads, and pastry. We had just a nights stay , and I was lucky to be allocated a good room on the ground floor. Now the problems with Riads I am sure with most as I can speak for Yamanda and the side one 20 Jasmine is that all rooms are different due to their various split levels due to their old time...

Fatima, the manager, is really kind and helpful. She made our staying as pleasant as possible. She gave us a free upgrade, she took time to mark us highlights of Fez on the map and booked us a very good tourguide. Quaint Riad, ideal for younger folk. Not suitable for people with mobility problems. No lift, steps narrow n no handrails. No late night restaurant, but staff willing to prepare a light meal on request. Cosy lounge. Split level rooms, so need to go higher level for toilet. No coffee making facility. As a solo traveller the hospitality of the staff was much appreciated. A perfect balance between helpfulness, Informative, and respectful. A truly stunning building, an absolute gem of a find. Highly recommended.

As soon as I walked into the the beautifully tiled and ornate Road Fez Yamanda, I knew I was in a special place. Our two night stay here was incredible.
