Good - clean rooms food pretty ok and waiters in the restaurant are excellent. A few broken items in room but nothing to moan about, cable tv very good and room cleaned each day and a good job done.
Bad - entertainment at night is catering for the younger guests and it's so loud that I needed to go into the reception to stop my ears from bursting.
Pool bar staff somewhat under pressure at peak times and a little crumpy on such occasions.
Not enough sun umbrellas and pool can be very busy at peak times.
Although room was cleaned each day the replacement of shower gels did not happen except for the ones on the day I arrived. However I must state the cleaning staff are pretty good.
So the question has to be asked if this is a 4 star or 3 star hotel. My only answer is that it has a lot of potential but to be honest the loudness of the disco and live entertainment is the only 1 factor that will stope from returning. I like entertainment but why does it have to blow your ear drums off. Turn it down guys we can hear you just fine. Location is good right on the main walk way. Beach access to ok however no one there to supervise the hotel section and no hotel staff maintaining their private beach section as a result liter cigarette butts papers everywhere.
This is where this hotel falls short of 4 star. Little things that count.
Would I ce back maybe not as i could see that other hotels for a little bit more have adhered to a truly 4 star status.
The WiFi only works in the hotel reception so guests spend ALOT of time in this area making it rather busy and at times loud.
The poolside bar has a VERY limited cocktail menu and drinks are served in plastic cups. It was evident the bartenders were overwhelmed with orders during the day and ingredients for cocktails were not fresh.
The rooms were okay but did not quite fit what is pictured online. There is no option to communicate when you would like your room cleaned so its best you catch a cleaner around the hotel and try to communicate this. Our room was not cleaned twice over the 7 days we visited.
I would definitely visit Agadir again however I would not be staying in this hotel nor would I recommend it.
We arrived at the hotel on 11/09 for a weeks holiday, only to be immediately informed by the hotel manager they had overbooked 20 rooms, so they didn’t have a room for us and we would be getting shuttled off to a different hotel for the first 3 nights of our trip. We would then be getting sent back to this hotel for the rest of our stay. No apology from the manager for the inconvenience, she infact acted as if she was doing us a favour - not a great start.
The other hotel was okay but seemed like a downgrade from what we had paid for at the time. However once I returned three days later to Royal Decameron I quickly wished I’d been transferred elsewhere permanently!
Once we arrived back we were given a twin room rather than double we had paid for. Staff just shrugged at me when I tried to complain. The room itself was dirty, the shower was so overrun with limescale water barely came out. Flys were everywhere in this hotel including our room, the restraunt and the pool. I know this isn't always controllable however the other hotel we were first put in had 0 flys the entire time, which makes me think it was the hotel. Maybe had something to do with the 10 stray cats randomly wondering the respite. Also found ants in our room one evening to which were then with us for the rest of the trip?!? There seemed to be construction or maintenance going on on the hotel and every morning at around 6am banging and drilling woke us up.
Staff were pretty unpleasant to, seeming to speak good English when we were buying something but no English when ever there was an issue. Certainly seemed if you were French or Moroccon you received better treatment. The entertainment staff were also very rude. Worst case ine of them once grabbed me and my pregnant wife’s arms and refused to let go, trying to drag us over to what ever entertainment he was trying to do!
The food was okay at best sometimes, but most of the time boarderline inedible. Waiters were very slow and almost seemed inconvenienced by us asking for a drink or clean cutlery - and again flys everywhere both inside and outside.
Speaking to other guests a lot of people had had the same issue with over booking and being sent elsewhere and agreed with the issues around cleanliness and noice.
Very disappointing overall, poor experience and genuinely amazed this place is rated 4 star. I’ve stayed in Hostels with better standards than this place!
We arrived late and the lovely man on reception gave us our wrist bands to go grab some food before checking in as we would have missed dinner if we did it the other way round which was much appreciated after a day of travelling.
Upon going in the room which was in the main building the AC and the tv did not work. Which wasn’t great as if we slept with the door open we were awoken multiple times throughout the night due to a club across the street, it could of even been the hotel sports bar as we were right above that.
We did report the TV and AC to reception and were advised someone would come and take a look but this didn’t happen unfortunately.
We didnt sleep through a whole night for the 7 nights we were there which wasn’t a great experience as we weren’t waking up feeling refreshed.
Other than this issue the room itself was great, the bedroom was large and there was a second room with the TV in there which was a good size too (this room also had a sofa bed). The bathroom is a good size and you also got some toiletries provided.
The pool area was lovely and more than enough sunbeds to go around, the animation team put on entertainment throughout the day which was great.
The all inclusive includes all your drinks which is fab as i know sometimes you have to pay extra for certain drinks. The restaurant is not great if you are a picky eater like myself, we only ate there 3 of the 7 nights. Lunch was fab everyday and there is the snack bar 11am-5pm. If you are picky there is lots of restaurants down the promenade (McDonald’s across the road as well)
During the world cup the hotel even got the English commentary for us Brits 🏴
Thanks for a lovely stay!
Animation work very hard to make sure there is something for everyone, mornings, afternoons and evenings and all announcements in perfect French and English.
I have travelled extensively for more than 55 years and this is easily one of the nicest hotel experiences I have ever had.
Positive points: cleanliness of the gardens, facing the ocean, the promenade and the shops
Decent catering, be careful to make the right choice on the rooms (we had a sea view), quiet, deckchairs available, staff ensuring impeccable cleanliness...
But …
Negative points :
The bathrooms are dilapidated and need to be renovated as quickly as possible, big problem having hot water at the end of the day, it took 4 days to resolve the problem...
Fram Team…
Basma the manager: friendliness to see again, barely pleasant for listening to our problems, it seems that she was on the way out (fortunately)
A very very average entertainment team, almost non-existent, absolutely not united, on the other hand excellent dancer but it was not our priority despite some lovely shows!
In short, a very average quality ratio, a hotel which plays on its location by the sea which must react quickly (like a certain number of establishments in Agadir) as well as the management of the entertainment staff...
Would definitely recommend
