Good hotel in Algiers, practical for business trips, there is a spacious cafe/restaurant with nice views for business meetings. Friendly and helpful staff. Large room, very large and comfortable bed, correct bathroom, excellent shower, good quality of towels, there are amenities available although somewhat basic. In the room there is a capsule coffee maker, they always leave water in the room at no extra cost. Correct and varied breakfast. Good choice in the city.

I chose this hotel due to its excellent TA reviews.
Note that Algeria is an Arabic and French speaking country. English is not widely spoken especially outside of the main cities. Cash is king - especially Algerian Dinars. I took euros and had no problem exchanging them for dinars, but not easy to use otherwise.
Location - depending on traffic (and it can be extremely heavy) the hotel is approximately 30 minutes drive from the airport, and 15 minutes from the old town/port. There is a tram terminal / metro station approx 500m downhill from the hotel. The tram heads out past the great mosque into the coastal suburbs, but the metro heads into the city and old town. There are a few shops locally for snacks, drinks, fruits etc close by.
Hotel - on the ground floor is the reception area, business area and meeting rooms. On the lower floors there are function rooms and a car park. On the 7th floor is the restaurant with superb views over Algiers Bay. In between are the floors with large bedrooms - some with the same bay view.
Reception - the reception staff were wonderful, helpful and professional.
Restaurant - I was on bed and breakfast basis, but chose to have the buffet dinner each night as well. The food and choice were excellent. I especially enjoyed the Algerian buffet night, and the fact wonderful local dates were available at each meal. The staff were brilliant. As I was the only ‘English’ guest in the hotel, I soon became known as Mr 206 (my room number). As I am on a walking stick, the staff were brilliant in helping me get drinks, food etc.
Bedroom - located on the second floor (there are two lifts) my double room was large and well appointed - especially with kettle and a quality coffee maker. Ask the restaurant for Lipton tea bags if you prefer black tea. There is a large screen flat screen tv, but I did not find any English speaking channels (but that didn’t matter as I was out all day each day). The bed was very comfortable.
My stay was for three nights. Honestly I wish I had stayed longer. Algiers is an exciting city, and The Lamaraz arts hotel is an excellent choice for a great stay.

We enjoyed our stay in this modern hotel between the city centre and airport.
The room was a suite on the 6th floor which was well appointed with excellent panoramic views.
Reception, restaurant and service staff were unfailingly polite.
We enjoyed a sumptuous buffet one evening and breakfast was varied with eggs to order.
A minor problem was the lack of any alcohol, partly due to local cultural values and the policy of the owners, nothing like a cold beer after a long and hot day touring! Just a thought for Algerian tourism authorities.
Another problem with some rooms in our group was inoperable aircon, a major problem for lack of sleep.
Otherwise excellent, thank you.

We checked in at 14:00 after a long tiring flight , the guy in the reception was very nice and kind, it was our first and last time in this hotel, my husband took a shower and the shower drain was clogged, water was everywhere.. it was a mess, we booked for dinner which was 5000da for adults and 2000Da for a kid but not very special, expensive comparing quality and price. Eating outside would’ve been much better. The big disappointment was at breakfast time, not much variety, boiled eggs were overcooked for my kid he likes the 4mints eggs, and they were peeled which I found disgusting. The guy making omelets was horrible, me and my husband asked for onlets with mushrooms and onions, they use canned mushrooms not fresh ones, he didn’t not allow time for the mushrooms and onions to cook , he added the eggs when my husband told him so he said oww sorry didn’t pay attention 🤨 and then second omelet he went away and he let the omelet burn he came back and told my husband that he will prepare another one for him, he told him to sit down he will bring it to him but he did not , I had an uncooked omelet and my husband did not get his omelet.
We asked for Fresh orange juice they said that we have to pay extra for Fresh juice, they only serve bottled artificial juice. The service was bad staff at breakfast were very rude . Don’t waste your money in this hotel .
At night time we were hearing the TV from the other bedroom , it was quite loud
Clean I would say 6/10 some towels had spots in them

A comfortable modern hotel. Our room faced the sea and everything worked well. There was a room safe and coffee machine and bottled water was provided daily. The dining room had fantastic panoramic views of the city/sea and all the staff at both breakfast and dinner were really great, friendly, helpful and nothing was too much trouble. We were made to feel most welcome in the hotel.

Very nice hotel, well decorated, very clean with spacious and comfortable rooms. The panoramic view of the Bay of Algiers from the restaurant is magnificent. One can see Maqam E'Chahid and the Grand Mosque while enjoying a good breakfast! Moreover, the location of the hotel is very appreciable and allows to quickly reach several tourist places (metro located a few minutes walk). The staff is professional, welcoming and good advice. I highly recommend this hotel.

We booked on site by telephone: the receptionist could not find a reservation in our name (in short, the reservation system was not efficient) other customers were in the same situation! Restaurant with superb view of Algiers👍 but very expensive buffet formula Good and plentiful buffet breakfast. Brilliant spa 👍 with a welcoming and caring person like all the rest of the hotel staff Large, comfortable and spacious room

We stayed here on two separate nights. The first time we were kept awake by an inconsiderate guest who played loud music until midnight. So on our return, despite being busy, the front-of-house girl took the trouble to make sure she gave us a quiet room on the top floor. The dinner buffet was generous with plenty of choice although, sadly, no alcohol 😬. Breakfast the same. Great welcome and anything you want to eat. They’ll cook a delicious fresh omelette. Fantastic views from the dining room. Mostly I want to praise the staff who have been very well trained, are warm, friendly and welcoming and have a ‘can do’ attitude. They should be proud of themselves as should the manager.

Excellent hotel! Stuff are quiete polite, welcoming and professionnal. Hotel rooms are super cosy and super clean, the decor is very elegant. Food choice is a bit limited but fine. The hotel location is great and the view is breath taking 😍 I highly recommend this hotel for a stay in Algiers.

Clean, modern hotel, 15 minutes from the fair. The staff is very kind (reception, concierge, restaurant, floor staff) and very efficient. Seventh floor restaurant with magnificent views of the Gulf of Algiers. Very good, varied and well-prepared cuisine. à la carte restaurant at midday and buffet in the evening (always different). Very varied and excellent buffet breakfast. Right price. I highly recommend.
