My husband and I recently spent three nights here in the king studio. The room was very nice, the bedding was comfortable, and the bathroom was beautiful. However, the mattress did not sleep well and there was no iron or ironing board in the room. The hotel appears to have Covid precautions figured out, but is not well prepared for housekeeping for people staying multiple nights.

Spent one night here on a weekend getaway. The hotel is in easy walking distance to all shops and restaurants in town. We stayed in king room. It was spacious with the nicest sheets and blankets. The staff was very friendly. My only complaint would be that the drinks in the bar were a little pricey. We will definitely return.

This was a nice place to stay. I made a youtube documentary of the hotel and area on my youtube channel. Search" Mark Richard Socio Project Amana Iowa." on YouTube. I show the room and talk about the area. I show the view out the window and down the hallways too.

My son was married in December 2020. His dream wedding had to be canceled due to the Covid pandemic, becoming instead a very small gathering of our 2 immediate families and wedding party. As the ceremony was held at a very small location nearby, I decided to stay here as I love the Amana Colonies and thought I could at least offer my son and his beautiful bride a nice place to stay on their wedding night. Also they could get some great wedding photos in Amana, especially with the new fallen snow. Hotel Millwright was wonderful!!! The hotel is stunning and they way they maintained the historical integrity of the old Amana Woolen Mill is so appreciated. The staff were fantastic to my son and his bride. They let us take our small group family wedding photos in their beautiful lobby in front of the Christmas tree and fireplace. They even put wine and truffles in the bride and grooms suite to congratulate them. They made a HUGE difference in making a heartbreaking disappointment feel like a very special day after all. Our photos could not be more beautiful!! Thank you, thank you Hotel Millwright. You are amazing and I would highly recommend you to anyone. Welcome to the Colonies!!!

Big bathroom withe lots of light, big shower with handicap seat. Room has kitchen table, 6ft couch, fridge, microwave, big screen TV in bedroom & suite area,, with long counter with sink....great for entertaining. Staff was friendly, knowledgeable, & helpful. Restaurant was closed due to covid. Hotel has lots of antiques all around.
