All 3 staff members that I encountered were very friendly and helpful. The room was exceptionally clean, and the bed was comfy. The hotel was quiet and I was able to sleep well. I would recommend this hotel.
We were attending a wedding in Aurora and this Holiday Inn was right next door to the wedding venue. We have always enjoyed Holiday Inns, but this one was a step above the rest. Everything was spotless from the entrance to the rooms. Very clean and comfortable. They provide a complementary breakfast with a pancake maker, eggs, sausage, coffee, etc. But, this review is really about one of the employees, Marcus. Marcus went above and beyond with customers. Thanks, Marcus, for making us smile and enjoy our stay that much better.
There are three reasons to stay here: 1) if you like trains, a high floor room in the back puts you right on the BNSF mainline. If you don’t like trains, the other floors and street side are quieter 2) if you are going to the Two Brothers Roundhouse for an event or just to session their great site-brewed beers it’s just across the parking lot and 3) the staff is incredibly friendly and runs a very clean hotel. And BTW the Metra train from Chicago literally stops next door. So convenient.
Our family stayed here the first day of our family vacation & we were spoiled by how clean, modern & great this hotel was... i wish the rest of the trip could have compared to this HIeX! I chose the hotel due to the proximity to downtown and was hoping for at least something average & this hotel far exceeded those expectations - we thought it was fantastic & would absolutely stay again. Rooms were extremely clean, nicely sized with a small fridge with a freezer - an awesome extra touch - and the shower was AMAZING - kinda funny to say but the shower was the highlight of the stay. :) Location is perfect for any outing/event downtown. Literally a 5 minute walk to the Paramount with a lot of restaurants within a block or two as well. Staff was very friendly, complimentary breakfast buffet was perfect and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Stay here with confidence that it's a great option for anyone. Our only concern was a train just off the backside of the hotel but either it doesnt travel at night or we never heard a peep. We did have a front-facing room so maybe that's a request to ask for just in case.…
We stayed here for a wedding. The rooms were well appointed, bathroom ample sized. Enough outlets for 3 of us to charge our devices. It looked like it had been updated recently and was very comfortable. Breakfast was really good. Everyone in our party found enough for breakfast and the quality was good! My personal favorite was dedicated hot water for tea (with no coffee aftertase). The two brother's restaurant was really a nice place for lunch/dinner. The metra was well within walking distance.
We stayed here because we were attending a wedding at the Paramont theatre. Took Uber to the venue, which took 6 minutes. Rooms super clean and roomy. Shower fantastic. Breakfast good. Staff friendly.
We booked it for a wedding locally, & looooved the Two Brothers restaurant across the pkg lot. The room was fine, grab & go free bk'fast was tasty, great staff. However we were told at front desk on ck in 8/19 local calls to area code 630 were free. On ck out we found $14 in charges for 14mins of calls! Andrew had told us it was free, & west Aurora is very close to west Batavia, so we were very disappointed & surprised. I also tried to do the survey sent by Jay the COO on 8/25, but couldn't even get in on the website, cursor just kept spinning. It included a chance to win 25k points, so maybe that was the problem. ;)
First, we have stayed here three times in the last 18 months. My husband is a Spire Elite member and has stayed at many, many IHG properties across the country and always comments on the amazing staff (Andrew is ALWAYS so friendly) and the cleanliness of the property. I was however VERY disappointed that the hot tub suite was not being booked at this time and hasn’t been since last March! Suites were still advertised on the site during booking so we were very much looking forward to an upgrade only to find out the owner is not allowing them to be rented. Upgrade would have been easy since there were very few cars in the lot so it was clear there were plenty of rooms available. We chose this location specifically for the hot tub suite room. Andrew was very apologetic about it all and we did get a room with the WOW shower which was great. …
I stay at this hotel often for business travel while in Chicago and especially during Covid, I thought it was paramount that I write this review. This hotel, the staff and all of the amenities have been hands down the best I have seen. The rooms are meticulously clean. So much so that they even smell fresh and sanitary. The staff, while having to ensure their safety and the safety of others, always has a smile on their face, even behind the mask you can tell that they are smiling and truly enjoy their job. I have been witness of all amenities getting cleaned and sanitized daily. I had the pleasure of speaking with Arron who is the hotel manager to provide my feedback and he was not only pleasurable to speak with, you can feel his passion for his hotel. Admittedly, I am not a fan of many hotels, especially during a pandemic, however, my stay at this hotel always meets or exceeds my expectations. Thank you staff for always making me feel welcomed on my many of stays and I look forward to many more.…
This hotel is super convenient to downtown Aurora and the train station. Walking distance to Two Brothers, a fun restaurant and pub. Hotel staff was awesome. Great breakfast. Very quiet stay. Small fitness center was available when I needed it. Good pool.
