We stayed at the B and B and even picked up a friend that lives in Carbondale and took him here for tasting and lunch. We tryed all the wines and the beer. It was fantastice. The food, wine, beer and the staff were excellent. You got to go here!

Right by bald knob cross and beautiful scenery. The best sweet red wine ive ever has. Great people and so much to look at here in alto. It is a lil bit of a drive however it will be worth it once you sit back and taste a lil bit of heaven. The wine here is made here

The room was lovely. The gift basket with snacks and wine was a nice touch. The bed was comfortable. Breakfast was delicious. But.... We had to call the maintenance man because there was not adequate hot water to fill the jacuzzi tub. He came and "fixed" it but we had to wait at least an hour for the water to... More

For $145 dollars if you are going to have this really nice bathroom with a Jacuzzi tub then you should be able to fill it with AT LEAST WARM water. But instead they spent the time to type up this long note and frame it and put it in each suite about how they were so sorry but they are... More

We stayed in the Red Port and White Port rooms, and also were able to access the common area between the rooms. The accommodations are nice, beds were comfortable, plenty of towels were provided and the jacuzzis were a great bonus. The utensils in the kitchen were random and mismatched. The coffee in the room is horrible. There is no... More

We went with a Group of friends, and stayed at the Von Jakob Vineyard Bed and Breakfast. This B&B was excellent. Upon check-in we received a little welcome basket that included cheese, fruit, crackers and a bottle of wine. Our room was very large it had a king size bed, two chairs to sit in, its own balcony, and a... More

We were touring the Illinois Wine country and this was one of our stops. Made a reservation here as there are not many hotels in this area of Illinois. Arrived late in the afternoon and had noticed that thee are not many places to eat in the area. They were still serving lunch so we opted for that. I think... More

We stayed at the Von Jakob Vineyard Bed and Breakfast and it was very nice. The room we stayed in was very well appointed, had a Jacuzzi tub, a great little welcome basket that included cheese, fruit, crackers and a bottle of wine. Wine tasting was also included in the price of the room as was a wonderful gourmet breakfast... More

We rented out every room at this bed and breakfast for my 40th birthday. I must say every room was nice and very well decorated. We had a blast at the wineries and then retreated to the farm house to hang out before calling it a night. Breakfast the next morning was good. We were glad it did not start... More

We booked a room a month in advance and our favorite room in The Wine House was already booked. We chose the White Port Suite at the Port House. Upon arriving to the house, we were told there had been a mix up with rooms and were given the Red Port Suite. Although the room was charming and the bed... More
